I actually have this phone. It was my first Samsung phone. The phone will still work, if you don't sign into a Samsung account, and I've had my phone custom-rom'd to Android 13/One UI 5.....I also had the battery replaced. The Custom-Rom'd Android 13 allows you to use all the apps in the app store fully.

I still have the box the original chords manuals and the same battery that Samsung put in it when the phone was made I do have the 60% updatebut have not installed it so the phone will still charge to 100%. I have a pretty unique story on that phone.
It was my first Galaxy Note, it was very beautiful. I still have them because I just bought in USA and returned to my country before it was banned and my country at that time still doesn't sell this so I can't return it. So I stopped using it and back to using my Galaxy S4 but after FE release I just bought FE batteries and put inside it and use it until 2020.

So, one question is that would it be much harder to restore a Note 7 to the original stock version of software that allowed full charge of the battery if it has the 0% battery update even if you were able to remove the battery and charge it in something else and then put it back in the Note 7? I watched the Hugh Jefferys video where he was able to restore the stock software of the Note 7 to have full charging capability when it had the 60% limited battery update. Would be nice if there was a video of someone restoring a Note 7 on the 0% battery update back to its original stock software that allowed full charging.

My s7 edge got stolen in june 2016 and I was about to buy note 7 in like Sep 2016 but then it started exploding everywhere and I didn't bought it. I bought a regular s7 then. Now fast forward to 2019 my s7 exploded and that was due to my mistake. My back was popping out and I kept on delaying it and one random morning while charging it exploded. I manged to save my sim card and Sd card which was in that phone with a towel that was a dumb thing to do 😅. Still have the remains of that s7 to this day

I think when you say that back in the C-word of 2020 and 2021, you must mean COVID 19. The only time when I see the green battery indicator on my S21 Ultra is when my screen is off and my battery is fully charged at 100%. Other than that, it always shows a white battery indicator.

Having using my Samsung A54 for a year only (this August completed 1 year) and my battery health already depleted to 90% i just miss Samsung providing Snapdragon chipset processors to mid ranged smartphones as well. 😶 even if samsung gives us old processors i am fine 😶😶.
I guess if you had one of these at the end of 2016 when they pushed out the 0% update. I guess then once your charge ran out, then that was the end of that, either send in your Note 7 for another device or be stuck with a bricked phone. Too bad that even the newer recalled models also started magically exploding.
But actually, I’ve tried in reality the older apps for Microsoft office which you try to search and download like the version that only requires android 6. 0 don’t work or even older versions or newer versions, but older than the latest version won’t work because they just show the screen update screen but cannot launch the app and use it.
Have you replaced both the batteries to a smaller 3200 mAH battery instead of a 3500 mAH battery? And prevent these phones from getting any future software updates which Samsung issued that limits the charge capacity to zero, completely bricking the device.

When you watch videos where older Samsung and most top flagship androids from around this time are featured, you see just how far backwards smartphone innovations have gone. Something like this Note 7 looks more premium and uniquely Samsung than currently Galaxies. This was long before Samsung decided to be an iPhone ripoff.
Isn’t it supposed to be that you said that you can downgrade the phone to previous firmware and which you can remove the recall messages then couldn’t have been that you can use those software to restore all functionality, including your VR Samsung pay to be allowed to be used as you said that it only happened as it progressed for the newer software updates for recall as they have eventually removed those functionalities for the note 7.
I have realised recently that you could flash Note7 firmware on the Note Fan Edition. Just they had to be flashable via TWRP. Too bad these things are hella expensive today. ALSO, Galaxy Note5 ON 5.1.1 LOLLIPOP?
The only way to make the note 7 that has the 0% update to use a computer connect the phone to get the update which is let’s you charge the phone to 100% and the green battery update to restore the phone to working order.

I have a Note FE with the back and front glass of a note 7. It feels awesome and still holds up quite well.

S7 was the first to introduce icons with frames actually. It was called icons with backgrounds.
Android 6 not S7 as Note 5 Note 4 and S6 got that after the Android 6 update

The only way to make the note 7 that has the 0% update to use a computer connect the phone to get the update which is let’s you charge the phone to 100% and the green battery update to restore the phone to working order.

Theres a few Chinese ones on ebay rn. That icon pack you saw doesn't work on nova launcher, it's from a Samsung theme in the theme store.
I've owned the iPhone 7 Plus rather than the Galaxy Note 7 or Galaxy S7 Edge eight years ago.
