You have to choose between a vertically long phone closed with a good form factor for movies while open, or a normal phone closed with a square phone while opened with giant bezels when watching a movie. But with a triple folding phone you would have all that, plus its a single screen that covers the whole phone, I like that!

1:07:06 To answer Andrew's question, I quite often turn my screen off and just listen to TH-cam videos that are more visual than audio. Oftentimes I just have videos playing while I'm going chores in another room and I'll just listen in on what's going on so I can go back later and focus on the visuals without accidentally mishearing something said. I'm also the kind of person that needs subtitles during a movie cuz I won't know for sure if I've heard some of the sister sounds properly and having that secondary mode to understand the context is helpful.
Woof, I think the ProCreate segment is a huge huge miss. It feels like so much of the segment was missing the point that artists want to create themselves, there are no advancements in Generative AI whether by ethical sourcing of data or improvements to performance that would make me incorporate it. By and large, artists would not "flock" to an animation app where you can draw the first and last frame and generate everything in between. I love art and my art because I put my effort in to make it, the room there is for ML tools is like the ink lines from Spider-Verse which is a perfect example of a movie where a single frame being generative would take something away.
FYI you can use the screenshots app to take a picture of an event and you can add reminders. I do admit that promoting us what we want to do to with the context is key to be super successful

22:16 are they not trying to just keep the feature limited to he pixel 9 range? I know they can do this within Google photos, but it might be a perception or optics thing.
I have an iPhone and a Pixel. I try to keep my friends separate by OS's but everyone keeps texting my android phone despite having both. Glad I have RCS on both phones now.
Hot take: finger print scanners should never be under the screen unless they work on the first try. I have yet to use a phone that does this. Bring back the pixel 2 fingerprint scanner on the back of the screen.
Given how much Marques seems to like the pixel phones, has he brought up any frequent issues using them? He was big push in my decision to get a pixel 8 pro but I've had frequent issues with the bluetooth. Usually transferring from earbuds to my cars or switching from media playback to phone calls and back to media. This has occurred with my airpods pro 2, pixel buds pro ear buds and my toyota and volkswagen infotainment systems.
I DEFINITELY do the TH-cam-audio-while-driving same as Andrew pretty much every day. I don’t listen to any podcasts all the way through besides waveform. TH-cam audio is just more entertaining even without video lol. When not driving though I do 2x speed frequently too 😅

I very rarely go 2x. But I do absolutely listen to TH-cam in the car on my commutes. Many waveform episodes have been on the road. But then there's the many occasions I was wishing I was watching, just to catch facial reactions or to see if something is being shown.
Then I'll go rewind to that particular place to watch the video when I arrive at home/work.
Cool discussion idea, Andrew. I like that you asked the question. It's interesting to hear how other people consume content. And you're right, there's not enough time to watch all the videos I want to watch.
Friday is great for many reasons, but one of the biggest ones is this pod. Much love.
1:00:07 I do exactly this! like 50% of the time for channels i'm very familiar with. I can visualize most of the stuff fairly well.
Audio books are the only thing I listen to at 2x sometimes 2.5x - because that’s how fast I read… but pods and videos - no no - regular speed.
English is my 2nd language, and your podcast sounds perfect at the speed of 1.25X or sometimes 1.5X.
1 min into the podcast, finally learnt how everyone made those symbols on the desks at school for the first time in my life

I DEFINITELY do the TH-cam-audio-while-driving same as Andrew pretty much every day. I don’t listen to any podcasts all the way through besides waveform. TH-cam audio is just more entertaining even without video lol. When not driving though I do 2x speed frequently too 😅
1:08:42 That’s how I watch this about half the time. Only am very consistent about have the video actually on my screen (not pip and off to side or locked) when y’all are showing pics of what you’re talking about, which is why I only ever listen on here.
And most of my football (soccer) shows I follow talking about the sport.
"How anxious are you guys?!"
"Really anxious..."
(god I love this podcast)
Trifold would just be a single screen. The outside screen is part of the whole screen when opened.
So it could technically be cheaper than a dual screen fold phone.
