The 16:9 aspect is so much more efficient

bought a black n9600 recently, and shockingly it’s on 8.1.0 (didn’t update it), and it’s still good today. sure the rear camera is a bit fried, it might be a bit cracked, battery might be a bit weak, but the headphone jack, sd card, and even the iris scanner makes it all worth it. i use it alongside with my s23 ultra, makes a great media phone as i can use my kbears with it, replacing an s10 5g

I didn't trade in my Note 20 Ultra when I got the S24 Ultra in yellow. I just started using the S24 Ultra at the beginning of this month. I think the Note 7 was a very beautiful device at the time. The only problem was that one day that you could be using it like normal and then bam, magically it just exploded.

So, one question is that would it be much harder to restore a Note 7 to the original stock version of software that allowed full charge of the battery if it has the 0% battery update even if you were able to remove the battery and charge it in something else and then put it back in the Note 7? I watched the Hugh Jefferys video where he was able to restore the stock software of the Note 7 to have full charging capability when it had the 60% limited battery update. Would be nice if there was a video of someone restoring a Note 7 on the 0% battery update back to its original stock software that allowed full charging.

I think when you say that back in the C-word of 2020 and 2021, you must mean COVID 19. The only time when I see the green battery indicator on my S21 Ultra is when my screen is off and my battery is fully charged at 100%. Other than that, it always shows a white battery indicator.

I guess if you had one of these at the end of 2016 when they pushed out the 0% update. I guess then once your charge ran out, then that was the end of that, either send in your Note 7 for another device or be stuck with a bricked phone. Too bad that even the newer recalled models also started magically exploding.

Watching this on my Note FE that i recently bought, i always wanted this phone as a kid, and now i got it. This phone is drop dead gorgeous even in 2024.. it's actually feels more premium than those phones with plain black front 😹

I remeber when i had my note fe (still have it) i was going on a plane for the first time with it and iw as like scared if they would let me go or arrest me 😂😂😂😂😂

I still own the Note 7 with my own ported Evo AOSP ROM and it still has the original battery in it. I don't know what rly caused the battery venting issue but I think this might have something to do with people using the included data transfer adapter adapter which was a female MicroUSB to female USB C adapter and some of those idiots kept the phone in their car during the hot weather. Personally I was happy to upgrade from Note 3 to Note 7 but it's a shame that the device just got wiped from the existence. Also, I love how the Apple iDiots were making fun about the "exploding" Samsung phone, even though their devices are not better because of the cheap batteries, where they expand in their device after many months and can break the displays. When I used to repair phones as a hobby, I introduced Twitter and a subreddit to a specific description of those Apple batteries. I called them the Spicy Pillow because although those batteries smelled sweet when they got like rolled over by a car on the road but if you accidentally damaged one of them like shoved your metal pry tool into them (that's why I always 3D printed my battery removal tools) things got quite dangerous and the gas made from the Apple batteries had like quite aggresive smell, as if you would eat some spicy curry at your local indian restaurant or eat some spicy mexican food XD

Having using my Samsung A54 for a year only (this August completed 1 year) and my battery health already depleted to 90% i just miss Samsung providing Snapdragon chipset processors to mid ranged smartphones as well. 😶 even if samsung gives us old processors i am fine 😶😶.
