Filipino American here. I have 4 sisters. Some went to UP and some went to University of Santo Tomas. My oldest sister was a professor of fine arts at University of Santo Tomas for a long time (years) before she moved to the 🇺🇸. I went to visit her there while she was teaching. It’s a very beautiful building. Very old like something you would see in Europe. Of course, the Philippines used to be a Spanish colony for over 300 yrs. The University of Santo Tomas is the oldest university in the Philippines. I tried to take pictures back then but security wouldn’t let me because at the time, they were concerned about terrorists attacks after what happened to the 🇺🇸 on 9/11. There have been terrorists attacks there from Filipino muslims from the south back then. Not anymore though. Anyways, I was a kid when my parents immigrated to the 🇺🇸. I wished I had attended college in the Philippines. That would’ve been cool plus I wouldn’t have to worry about accommodations because I have lots of family there and tuition is a lot cheaper! ❤
