    When you actually research the treatment of pallets you will find the even the HT treated pallets can also of received a MB treatment. When an inspection of a container is done and there are signs of critters they will treat every thing in the container with the MB treatment this means your HT labeled pallets, the good thing is that the chemical treatment dissipates when exposed to air. MB pallets are no more dangerous than HT pallets. The MB pallets are extremely rare though.You should properly mill all pallet wood to remove the exterior sanding planing ext to remove all the filth that can get onto them while in use. Please do more research than TH-cam.

    Difficult seeing the label at the start of the video. Try having some light hitting it. It might have gotten better but thats as far as I could get. Not a complaint. You have valuable information and I’d like to see it.

    Liked and subscribed! Do you have a vid on breaking down pallets? I’ve searched, but don’t seem to be able to find one from you. Thanks!

    I have a few pallets that have both labels HT and MB what does it mean?

    • @DoubleBitsWorkshop
      @DoubleBitsWorkshop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some pallets get scabbed together sadly. And some get built next to each other in the factory. So there are rare occasions where some parts are both sadly. I have come across those as well. Best to treat those pallets as both cases to be safe is best in my opinion!

      @DoubleBitsWorkshop Thank you for the info. I was thinking of being safe , that being sorry is a great rule of thumb

    Any ideas on telling if a pallet is made of hickory?

    • @DoubleBitsWorkshop
      @DoubleBitsWorkshop  ปีที่แล้ว

      The weight is heavier then normal. And it's a lot harder to cut through.
      Oak on the other hand has a very easy to tell grain pattern where the fibers are very tight together, and a quick Google search will show you how oak looks. But hickory in my opinion is better.

      I have actually been finding a lot of hickory in my current pallet stash. Once you start looking and can tell it apart from the oak ones. Then you will find it a lot!
