Thanks Ryan - We tried to cover all common questions that are asked about pallets. I appreciate the comment. Do you have any suggestions on what other type of video that would be beneficial? We are always open to ideas
I heard this explained elsewhere but didn’t grasp everything.Very appreciative of this video. Video was informative clear and concisely what i needed to better my understanding. Looking for any information on pallets. Thanks again
Hi Joe G, thanks for the comment. A pallet jack has wheels and thick forks making it to large to fit into the notched side of the partial four way pallet
No I doubt it - lots of companies just throw them away but I would check the sizes you get with the pallet yards prior to dropping them off, just to be sure they can take them. not all pallets are sell-able. Thanks for the comment
You didn't mention the euro pallet and it's quite popular too. I sometimes take broken pallets from my workplace, for firewood. Goods arrive on them every day and they are quite flimsily built. I choose pallets made of hardwood as they are better for burning than softwood but hardwood pallets are few and far between. I think they are made in India or someplace like this as the wood is different from any European kind of wood I know. It resembles beech by the structure but it's definitely something else. I feel kinda bad because I burn wood that might be coming from tropical rainforests but if I don't take those, they will end up in the big container and probably get turned into chipboards or some other shit.
Hi Vlad, you are right I do not mention the euro or other styles - I just decided to keep things simple for the video. If I were to get into all styles and types of pallets, this video would be hours long lol Thanks for the comment
I have 8 of these things somebody gave me which are made out of steel and have curved steel footings that seem to be made to slide across a warehouse floor and would sure like to know what they're called. Sled pallets, right?
Hi Bart - thanks for the comment. I have seen them before. I’m not sure if they have a specific name to them other then a ‘steel pallet’ i will look into it and if I find a name to them - I will edit my response
I recently found a couple large pallets that don’t have any gaps in the planks, is this specifically used for something? Looks like a little deck. It’s like 4x6
As someone that has routinely worked with pallets, this information is phenomenal and effective at conducing the success of my pallet management.
