I still remember when I finished Xenoblade 2 I sat there for 10-15 mins afterward just sad cause it was over.
Women say men dont have feelings cuz they didnt cry watching the titanic. But real men cried when they finished xenoblade 2
Super proud of Kim. She conquers through all these big JRPGs. Also, I love Warrior games but even I had to put down FE Three Hopes. But looking forward to XC3 & both of yours adventure through it.

@@aidankhaos7687 I haven't played it yet, but I've seen people complain about the battle system being heavily simplified and the opening 4 hours or so being gray and brown, dreary and not great overall. I'm tempering my expectations so far.
@@albertzinger7132 Seeing as most people said the combat system in XC2 sucked and was "too slow" because they didn't know how it worked, I'm not going to take some random person's word for it unless it's Enel. It's Xenoblade - it's going to be a safe purchase.

I loooooved Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I'm about 20 hours into the 1st one, now, enjoying that as well. Would like to eventually play Torna and Chronicles X before I jump into 3. Amazing series that I am very new to.
Chronicles x is massive even compared to definitive edition.
@@silentvalue I think I am looking forward to X the most. I bought the special edition for WiiU. Long open world games are my jam, and generally I replay them multiple times, so I'm hopeful that X will give me the 200-300 hrs I keep hearing about.
@@JebberGamingJaws i put in almost 300 and still never technically beat it. I was still finding crazy end game bosses who would about 1 shot me just by flying around and looking for new stuff. It's probably one of the best open world games i've ever played. Once you get the mech options like 20 hrs in, the entire scale changes. It's great.
X is very different from the others, and isn't connected to 1, 2, Torna or 3 at all. You can skip it. It's honestly a bit tedious to get into. Be prepared to have an interactive map and a wiki open on your phone or laptop because the game does not help you the same way the newer games do. The fonts and UI in X are also extremely small and very poorly designed. There's also a ridiculous amount of high-level enemies that aggro you and kill you in one hit - even through walls or when they are massively far away. None of the XC games on Switch troll you with high-level enemies in every area like they are designed in X. Accept a level 20 quest and be prepared to skip a barrage of level 30 and 40 enemies all the time. It's not fun, at least for me. Just don't expect the same quality and balance as the Switch titles.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is my most played and overall favorite game on the Switch! I remember being a bit hesitant about buying it after reading a couple of reviews (mostly average/negative to very negative), then I finally got it and ended up loving the game so much I played through it 3 times back to back. The more I play it the better it gets! The OST is a 20/10 for me, I listened to it daily for months. I hope more people will give it a chance 🙏 It really deserves better!

Absolutely agree with you. I've played 2 over and over. The characters, the visuals, the combat, and the story are simply incredible. My favorite game on switch as well.

Awesome! Been playing through Devil May Cry 1,2 and 3 with my mom. (Actually just finished 3 today!) Wanted to show her the series as we've played through the whole Resident Evil series together and I thought she'd also enjoy seeing DMC, which she instantly loved. Other than that, I've been keeping my gaming plate all clean so I won't have anything unfinished in preparation for Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Man, I truly can't believe it's almost finally here! Xenoblade Chronicles 1, 2 and Torna are all just magical games and I couldn't be happier that we actually get a third one. After still being utterly heartbroken by the thing that was Resident Evil 3 "Remake", I haven't been able to fully get my hopes up for any game since, as being burned by RE3R hurt so much, but secretly I really am, for a better word, all hyped up and feeling the tingly anticipation as the release date approaches! Hope you guys, me and everyone here has the best of times with it! :)
i would like to give a huge shout out for recommending YS series. I beat YS origin today and my next step is Lacrimosa of Dana.

It’s crazy. I just bought triangle strategy about a week ago never played a tsrpg but I’m loving it so far!
One of the best SRPGs ever made.
I played XC1 ahead of XC2's release, but XC2 is my favorite and I think I would have enjoyed XC1 a lot more if I'd played it after XC2.
The first game was made as its own thing (I call it a pilot episode), but the second game was made to be even more. It rehashes a ton from Xenogears, and it's basically the foundation for Perfect Works 3.0.
That's one of the reasons I like the first game more.
I played xenoblade chronicles 1, but not 2. Think I’m gonna grab 3 since it’s coming out so soon, and if I really like it I’ll get around to 2 after. IMO the first one was pretty meh until the end and then it picked up.

It does heavily. The base combat is the same but what they introduced early on shakes up the whole series
3 is amazing in every way. Its absolutely one of the best games ever made...that being said I started the first one and I wish I started there. Because the combat is so smooth in the third I feel like Its a big step back. Similar combat the controls just aren't as good. But I think I'll get used to it..it's just more clunky compared to 3..if I had started there I think I would've been way more into it. But I'm going to keep playing, I can see that it's a good game. I just think had I started from the beginning I wouldn't be so spoiled by the epic ness of 3.

It seemed very bland to me
Live A Live is a cool little game to have when you need a quick, short JRPG fix. I thought it was cool but nothing special. It kinda reminds me of shows like Love, Death and Robots meaning that it's a lot of short underdeveloped stories that could've been amazing if it were a full blown game/movie/show.

Both Xenoblade games are just incredible. Must play games for any JRPG fan! I really liked that you mentioned the accents in 2, such a small detail but it's one of my favorite things in the game. Cannot wait for 3 😁
I literally just beat Xenoblade Chronicles 2 yesterday. My final time was 93 hours. I do slightly overall prefer the first game, but Xenoblade 2 is still a great game and I loved it as a Xeno fan. The battle system I especially enjoyed more than the first game.
I fell in love with XCDE, currently 50hrs in at Chapter 11. With what spoiler-free stuff I’ve seen of XC2 and knowing that it managed to bring lots of streamers to tears, I hunted down a new physical copy of XC2 and will soon download torna. Now with all 3 games, I’m delighted that I have over 250 more hours of this series ahead of me
@@TurboPikachu that’s so awesome! I have to warn you though, the adjustment phase to XC2 might be a little rough. The controls are pretty different, and it’s a very menu heavy game. Almost more than the first game. The battle system takes a while to learn too, so beware. Whatever you think, the game massively picks up at the end of chapter 3. It’s a different experience, but I ended up loving it a ton around then. Just a small warning.
@@stevenanderson7620 I also heard about a gacha-esque mechanic (thankfully without microtransactions). Even despite needed adjustments, the tutorial failing enough for TH-camrs to have needed to create better ones, gacha stuff, Rex’s English actor supposedly occasionally missing the mark, and a technically messier anti-aliasing/image-sharpening solution than DE/3, I’m still sold on XC2. From what I’ve seen of some of the early-game cutscenes, breathtaking early-game environments, absolute banger music, and witnessing Etika and others cry over the ending (cropped to playercams away from the game with all sound muted to keep myself spoiler-free), I’m fairly certain XC2 will be just as immersive and unforgettable for me as XCDE has been thus far
Xenoblade 2 is my favourite game on Switch. Such an incredible story and the battle system is fun as heck (both 1 and 2 are incredible). So looking forward to Xenoblade 3 later this week!
I haven’t jumped into the franchise but im extremely excited for 3 do you think i can just jump into it or would i have to play 1 and 2 ?

15 hours into EASTWARD i highly recommend, very emotional game and the soundtrack is A+
Most user reviews say it's poorly written and there are tons of uninteresting dialogues...which makes me on the fence of getting it.
What are your thoughts about the story writing? Is it what they say it is?
@@ComputerOyyy i could see complaining about some of the writing coming in from way out of left field, but at the same time im not demanding too much from the game and find it very relaxing, dungeons and puzzles are fun, relationship between Sam & John (main characters) is touching and mysterious

Congrats Kim. I just finished the Torna DLC last night. I finished it in about 60 hours or so but I did do like all of the side stuff. I admit I like 2 a bit more than the first, but I like the first a lot as well.

I just finished Torna yesterday, and holy shit, the ending was so lit. The vanguard system was also so damn good imo. It's a must-play, for sure
Currently doing another play through on Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition (4th play through overall) again and just crossed the 130 hour mark for the 2nd time. This video gets me hyped to start Xenoblade Chronicles II & possibly even go back to Xenoblade Chronicles X on the WiiU.
I can't wait for Friday to come sp I can pick up xenoblade chronicles 3. As for xc2 I've spent around 380 hours in it still haven't 100 percented it. I used to own it on an og switch but sold it so now I have it again and basically have to restart from scratch but I'm counting my old time within my overall hours spent with the game. Rn I'm playing through ff7 remake for the first time

finished Stray in a bit under 7 hours last weekend. loved that game. been playing Witcher 3 quite a bit lately. still in act 1 and just got to Skellige. long way to go in that one. awesome game with a million things to do. I am 10 hours into XC3 and I love everything about it so far. Loved XC1, XC2, and XCX as well.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was my entry to the series even though I played the Definitive Edition and most people prefer that game over 2, 2 is still my favorite.
Torna has the best gameplay. I’m excited for XC3 because I think they’ve found a good balance between all of the previous games and the combat is going to be awesome. Of course the story is going to be great.
I was hooked on Demon's Souls (PS5) the past 2 weeks, finished it last night. Great game.
I played XC2 first, and it is my favorite in the Xenoblade series. Especially with Torna, the story of 2 is just such a beautiful combination of tragedy, and a classical fun hero's journey.

thanks for not spoiling this…I’m nearing the end of xenoblade 2 in preparation for 3! I love 2 but xenoblade 1 is my favorite…probably because I started that on 3DS (never finished it) and then my 3DS broke and sold my game collection…so when the definitive edition came out I was FINALLY able to play it again and it made me love it even more than usual haha

Im enjoying this saga on Kim's journey through Xenoblade Chronicles from 1 - 3 because she's played about as much OR MORE than I have so I relate to her experience. I haven't played Tourna though.
Xenoblade 2 is my all time favorite jrpg. The Torna DLC was amazing!

I got Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii when it first came out using my Gamestop points. I tried to play it, but the game mechanics confused me and I set it aside. I bought it again on the 3ds and the same thing happened to me.
I bought Xenoblade Chronicles X after you recommended it on this channel, but never got very far into it. I then bought Xenoblade Chronicles 2 special edition and it hooked me from the opening scene. I played it through twice and then played Torna, which I also enjoyed.
I decided to go back to my 3ds copy and played about 5 hours of Xenoblade Chronicles and then remembered I had it on the Switch and started it all over again. The combat finally clicked because of the second game and I enjoyed it as well. However, I love Xenoblade Chronicles 2 much more than 1 because of the graphics, characters, and blades. I'm getting 3 this week and will one day go back and play X.
I just finished up AI Somnium Files on GamePass, playing Stray on PlayStation, I picked up Live A Live but Xenoblade 3 is next to play, can't wait till Friday. Soul Hackers 2 is on the radar as well probably after Live A Live.

Xenoblade 2 is a game that is very close to my heart, and I'm so happy that so many people have been able to enjoy it recently. I'm glad you had fun with it, Kim, but I do recommend hopping back in sometime to play the Land of Challenge. Let's say it has a cool bonus for fans of the first game

So, here's the thing with me. I missed out on the original the first time around, so Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was my first exposure to the series. And I absolutely fell in love with it. For that reason it will always have a special place in my heart. It was a really magical discovery for me.

Completely agree with the love for Torna, the improvements in story and especially the fighting system were amazing. This completely took me by surprise when I played it the first time. Hope Kim will have just as much fun with XC3!

I totally get what you're saying. About a week ago I fired up Persona 5 Strikers, which is also a Warriors style game, but all I can think about is Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I think I'm just going to not play games this week until it releases because my focus is elsewhere and it's not really fair to those other games.

I finished Xenoblade 2 like 3 days ago, I cannot put into words how good this game is, I didn't like the beginning of the first one but came to love it after getting to Eryth Sea, after that part the game really picks up, but Xenoblade 2 is another game man, this is all gas and epicness and whimsy and fun. Cant wait to get to 3 but still need to finish a lot of quest in 2 and get to Torna.
I'm 94 hours in Valhalla, the game is huge. And just recently I started playing through Mario+Rabbids, so far quite enjoyable.
Have you played Odyssey also ? Im "playing" Valhalla too (currently is on pause) and i loving it. I like Eivor a lot.
I just beat Xenoblade 1 and the ending hit me hard now that I'm getting a new job.

The torna game is great probably one of the best jrpgs I’ve ever played and a great prequel companion game to xenoblade 2. I easily put 60 to 100 hours into it.

I beat it last month, 166hrs, and I felt so empty until my sister came to my home with a copy of Torna the golden country!
I started Torna a few weeks ago and coudnt stop until almost completion just missing like 1-2 quests put about 55hrs into it, its sooo good Xeno fans please go play it its a great experience. XC1 still my fav followed by X but they are all great
XB2 is one of my all time fav games. I freaking loved it.
I'm playing XC2 right now and having a blast. I started playing it a few years ago and then left it after 20-30 hours when I got a bit overwhelmed by all the blades and which character you should summon on etc. etc. But after watching a lot of vidoes by Enel and realizing that all blades are viable in the Campaign I just started playing the ones I enjoyed. Right now I'm 70+ hours in and still on Chapter 6, doing every side-quest I can and checking all the field mastery hidden stuffs. I love the exploration part of these games sooooo much! Can't wait for Xenoblade 3 and I relly should get myself an OLED since I find myself playing 95 % handheld nowadays (bed, toilet, sofa while the kids are watching TV, in the summer cabin etc.)
Even if i have been spoiled on a few things in this game i'm still gonna buy it since it's that cool and good looking that i have to get it

I'm also getting prepared for the insane influx of RPG's we're about to get... Soul Hackers 2, Diofield Chronicle, Star Ocean, Xenoblade 3, Valkyrie Elysium... OH MY!

I've owned Xenoblade 1, 2, and Torna for a little over a year but never touched them. Last week I finally started 1 and I'm loving it! Probably will puck up 3 even though I probably won't get to it for a while.
I hope xenoblade 3 is more like 1 or X! I’m so hyped for it and hopefully we can get a X2 next or a xenosaga trilogy port

@@86Alterity hard disagree. 1 felt more compact and varied, with more arts, skill trees and gems and everyone having a pre determined role that were all a lot different than each other. 2 boiled down to getting orbs on the enemy and hoping your AI does them in correct order (and this isn’t even introduced until pretty far in the game) the blade system was also pretty weak and most of them were underwhelming or samesey compared to the handful of top tier blades not to mention horrible gatcha and I wasn’t a fan of having to stand still to attack it slowed gameplay down for me

The battle mechanics turned me off at first too but I took a break and circled back around to the series down the road beginning with Torna this time and suddenly it clicked and I fell in love.

Never played any Xenoblade games before, so currently working my way through Xenoblade Chronicles 1, with 2 and Torna on the shelf to be played next before getting to 3, which is in the mail =)

I beat Xenoblade Chronicles 2 back in 2018 and I love it I’d cry 😭 in the end it’s saddest part of the game I never cry 😭 on any game but this one made me cry now I am excited for XC 3

Part of me is upset that Xenoblade 3 got released early instead of the initial September date because I wanted to play Live a Live which just came out. I am more invested in Xenoblade, so I will wait til after to start Live a Live.
I’m playing through Xenoblade 2 right now as well, and really loving it. I didn’t care for the combat at first, but once you unlock the ability to have arts charged up at the beginning of the battle, it plays very similar to the first game (without having to use the D-pad to select your attack). I got KOS-MOS midway through chapter 5, and now just really digging into the game. I completely agree with Kim on all her points about the quests-some of them are excruciatingly long 😂. But I guess it’s a slightly different spin vs. having the quests timed in the first game. I also got myself a copy of Torna, and got Xenoblade 3 pre-ordered, so I guess it’s going to be Xenoblade summer 😅

I really need to get into JRPGs. I just finished the Nightdive Studios' remaster of Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, the first season of Telltale's The Walking Dead and now I'm going through Pac-Man World on PS1. Kind of an eclectic mix of games for variety's sake.
XC2 is my favorite switch game I can't wait to see if 3 tops it I'm still in the middle of Torna I plan on beating it before I buy 3 in September

I just started Tales of arise and wow ! I love it. Probably getting Xenoblade 3 next even if I didn’t play the others.
Every Xenoblade related video I see, makes me want even more a XENOBLADE CHRONICLES X launched for SWITCH!!! Oh and of course (and perhaps even more) XENOGEARS!!!! Just finished xenoblade chronicles 1. Working through the 2nd now, gotta say im enjoying it much more. Really love the characters and overall gameplay over the first. Can't wait for xenoblade 3!
I have finished Trials of Mana. A very nice game. Now i have begun Dragon Quest XI, finally😁
About the Xenoblade Chronicles series, i am gonna start with this new one. Do not have much time to play the whole serie, but i believe this is not gonna be a problem, starting with the third.
Torna, the Golden Country is amazing and adds a lot to the game and makes the story better and even has better characters imo. I didnt like 2 more than 1 until Torna. I definitely wasn’t a huge fan of Rex though. The side quests in Torna actually show more stuff with the characters and the protag is better and god it will break your soul. The combat better too. I’m playing Three Hopes and I’m enjoying it for what it is.
Jumped back into Elden Ring and I'm playing NG+. My wife and I are playing Secret of Mana together.
