Xenoblade 3's heavy focus on people playing the flute has to do with the game's main themes of the value of life and its fleeting nature. Certain members of the two factions (Keves and Agnes) known as "Off-Seers" are given specialized flutes that allow them to let a person's soul pass on from their body when they die before the end of their natural lifespan.

The little potatoes are called Nopon and they are essentially the mascot animals of Monolithsoft (with their mascot being a Nopon named Monopon). NPC-wise they typically take on the role of merchants spread out throughout the world, with the species trying to stay out of trouble with any other major races/countries (in most cases). Normally they speak in the third person with some words cut out (they can talk like everyone else, but some make use of this form of language to appear cuter).
A running gag involving Nopon is how casually they describe things, regardless of how dark, tragic or out of pocket whatever they are talking about is. Some notable examples include:
"Nelo busy being depressed! Come back later."
"If Jellijelli not pay Bana back for red pollen orbs, Bana will send Bingbong and Zamazizi to break Jellijelli's legs"
"Not bad, not bad. Wife ran out on me, but apart from that cannot complain."
"Ah, Tora get it. Marcel is big racist."
Xenoblade 1, 2 and 3 all feature Nopon who fight alongside you on your journey while X's resident Nopon is emotional support (and emergency food). The Nopon that are playable typically take on a Jack-of-all-Trades role in the squad.
On a side note, it is a crime that Monolithsoft hasn't made official plushies of them yet.

The Nopon are really some of my favorites in these games. Like, you’d be forgiven for thinking of them as just funny little marketable goobers that talk like old lolcat memes, which they are, but they also have their own culture and way of life. They’re merchants, mechanics, archeologists, even crime bosses!

Putting all the trailers together like this has really shown me how far Xenoblade has come in recent years. Nintendo of America had very little interest in localizing the first game during the Wii era (only had a retail release at GameStop).
Due to the extra exposure from Smash Bros. and the excellent sales of the Switch, it has begun to do pretty well for itself. Despite not selling as much as Mario, Animal Crossing, Splatoon, Pokemon etc., trailers for the series are now given the spotlight in Nintendo directs and it has been seeing record sales.

Obviously my "ton of people" would still be a small amount compared to the vast majority who's played the game, but in terms of vocal/written opinions, the majority seem to agree that it's great. Of course there's always negative opinions, but the most damning opinion I've seen of the game is that because it's not as story-focused as the other games, it "isn't as good" as them. Those opinions are the minority, though.

@@marksamson4173X’s problem is that it’s on the Wii U and virtually nobody has played it, because it takes up all the space you have for downloads (on the deluxe Wii U (the black one with more space)). That problem massively takes away from peoples ability to enjoy it, and it’s probably the only Wii U game left aside from the HD Zelda ports, that could still use a port to the switch.

The Xeno games (Gears, Saga and Blade) are all a part of an overarching narrative created by Tetsuya Takahashi and his wife (pen name Soraya Saga).
They both worked for Squaresoft and have credits on games like Final Fantasy VI. In fact the idea for Xenogears was originally pitched for the plot of FFVII but was deemed "too dark".

Quick summary of the Xenoblade games:
    - Xenoblade Chronicles: This is a world where all life dwells on the lifeless bodies of the titans Bionis and Mechonis. There were recent conflicts between the Homs of Bionis and the Mechon of Mechonis. The Monado is a special sword that can cleave through Mechon armor more easily - and in Shulk's hands, it grants him visions of future events, whether distant or immediate. After a Mechon attack on his home of Colony 9, Shulk sets out to hunt down the faced Mechon that killed his childhood friend Fiora - but would venture even further in a grander new conflict with Mechonis.
    - Xenoblade Chronicles: Future Connected: An epilogue packaged in Definitive Edition, it follows Shulk and Melia in a private expedition in what remains of Bionis's Shoulder.
    - Xenoblade Chronicles X: In a somewhat unrelated story, the people of Earth evacuated in many spaceships to escape an alien war. The spacecraft of New Los Angeles ended up landing in the planet Mira, where its people would work on forming a new life. However, their BLADE soldiers would end up in conflict with the Growth/Ganglion forces behind the war that destroyed Earth.
    - Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Alrest, a world blanketed in a Cloud Sea that's traversed by giant land-like creatures called Titans. Here, humans of various kinds can resonate with Core Crystals to awaken artificial lifeforms called Blades. Rex, a young salvager, is recruited in a mission that unearths the sleeping form of Pyra, a powerful Blade also known as the Aegis. When the clients kill Rex, Pyra resonates with him to restore his life, setting the two on a journey to reach Elysium, a land of plenty atop the World Tree.
(The Xenoblade 2 DLC that contains Torna ~ The Golden Country also opens the Land of Challenge in the main game, where Rex and co. can engage in special challenge battles - as well as unlock Shulk, Fiora, and Elma as guest "Blades".)
    - Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country: This prequel story covers the Aegis War 500 years prior to Rex's story - a mighty battle between Mythra and Malos to decide the fate of Alrest. However, it's mainly centered around Jin and a young woman named Lora.
    - Xenoblade Chronicles 3: This is set in Aionios, an isolated world that sees endless conflict between the nations of Keves and Agnus. Their young soldiers slay each other in order to maintain their limited lifespans. However, one operation sees three Kevesi and three Agnians, led by off-seers Noah and Mio, joined together with the power of Ouroboros, forced into a mission to learn the truth about their world and their conflict. This puts them at odds with Moebius, the power that commands Aionios.
    - Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed: A prequel story to Xenoblade Chronicles 3 that follows the journey of Matthew (a young man from the early City) and A (a mysterious entity), to battle the Moebius and rescue Matthew's sister Na'el.
As many have suggested, the recommended order is:
    - Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition (main story first, then Future Connected)
    - Xenoblade Chronicles 2
    - Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country
    - Xenoblade Chronicles 3
    - Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed
Whether or not you play Xenoblade X is up to you, though it's not as connected to the numbered games.

*_NOTABLE CHARACTERS_* (Tried my best to minimize spoilers, though certain trailers here have shown some spoilers.)
      *XENOBLADE CHRONICLES*
      - Shulk: A young engineer who lives in Colony 9. Much of his time has been spent studying the Monado. When Mechon raided Colony 9, Shulk was forced to take up the Monado in Dunban's stead - from this, he awakened the power to see the future. Kind, but often overly analytical and cautious.
      - Reyn: A Defence Force soldier from Colony 9, and long-time friend of Shulk and Fiora. He usually protects Shulk while he does field work and parts salvaging. Impatient and short-tempered, but a reliable friend.
      - Fiora: A long-time friend of Shulk and Reyn in Colony 9. Her compassion is only matched by her rash nature when push comes to shove. Her death at Metal Face's claws prompted Shulk's journey away from home to destroy the Mechon.
      - Dunban: A veteran Defence Force soldier of Colony 9, and Fiora's elder brother. He wielded the Monado during the Battle of Sword Valley a year prior, but its use left him crippled. He intends to keep fighting to protect others, even if he only has one good arm left.
      - Sharla: A medic from Colony 6. She and other denizens were forced to evacuate when the Mechon took over. Her ether rifle lets her fight and heal from even a distance.
      - Riki: One of many Nopon from Makna Forest, he was chosen as this year's Heropon.
      - Melia: A young woman who seems to know her way around Bionis's upper regions, and is able to manipulate ether without a specialty weapon.
      *XENOBLADE CHRONICLES 2*
      - Rex: A young salvager from the Leftherian Archipelago. Long has he dreamed of finding a way to the fabled land of Elysium atop the World Tree. When Pyra made him her Driver, he may get the chance to find that way.
      - Pyra: A powerful Blade also known as the Aegis, found sleeping within an old frigate. Despite her immense power, she's very gentle and compassionate.
      - Mythra: Another Aegis residing in the same Core Crystal as Pyra - she's technically the original Aegis of the two, and the one who fought in the Aegis War of old.
      - Azurda/Gramps: A small Titan who served as Rex's adoptive grandfather (hence "Gramps"). He used to carry Rex's personal house, but a near fatal incident forced him to revert to a tiny younger form to survive - now he fits in Rex's salvager helmet snugly.
      - Bana: This Nopon is the shrewd Chairman of the Argentum Trade Guild. He'll take any underhanded route to easy riches.
      - Jin: Leader of the Torna organization. He's a cold-hearted terrorist who commands superhuman power, even without a Blade. Apparently, he also fought against Malos in the Aegis War long ago - but now they work together, felling many Drivers and pilfering Core Crystals.
      - Malos: Jin's second-in-command of Torna, and a feared Aegis that Mythra battled against in the Aegis War.
      - Nia: A Gormotti girl who joined with Rex and Pyra early on. She's quite wary of other people.
      - Dromarch: Nia's Blade, taking the form of a white tiger. His politeness balances out Nia's brusque attitude.
      - Tora: A young Nopon engineer who's been putting together an artificial Blade. His smarts and mechanical know-how are balanced by his impetuousness - and his more...questionable interests.
      - Poppi: Tora's artificial Blade, completed with Rex's and Pyra's help. Her unique technology gives her unique strengths of her own. She may be faithful to Tora, but she's never afraid to sass him on his shortcomings.
      - Vandham: An Urayan who leads the Garfont Mercenaries. He may be big and brawny, but he's also very wise and tactical.
      - Morag: Special Inquisitor to Mor Ardain's emperor Niall. She's wary of any calamity that could be repeated by the Aegis. Her might, along with Brighid's firepower, gave her the title "Flamebringer".
      - Brighid: Morag's Blade, one titled "the Jewel of Mor Ardain". Her grace is matched by her tactical mind. An older iteration of her fought in the Aegis War by Mythra's side.
      - Zeke: A strange shady man who's been dogging after Rex and Pyra for a while. Tenacious as he is, his theatrical carelessness has landed himself and Pandoria in danger in every encounter.
      - Pandoria: Zeke's Blade. She's particularly close with him - which may explain her habit of mimicking his over-the-top gestures.
      *XENOBLADE CHRONICLES 3*
      - Noah: An off-seer - someone who sends off departed souls with a flute - from Keves. Talented as he is with the sword, he has a deep-seated dread of the constant killing. His Blade, the Veiled Sword, holds a mighty secret.
      - Mio: An off-seer from Agnus. She's a nimble and proud fighter, but wrought with guilt over a fallen friend. Currently on the last three months of her lifespan, she hopes finding Swordmarch will help her find hope. Her Blade is a pair of Twin Moonblades, which she uses to swiftly dance around enemy attacks.
      - Eunie: A soldier from Keves, and long-time friend of Noah and Lanz. Her sassy mouth may make her seem standoffish, but she's a steadfast comrade regardless. She collect Fourtune Clovers whenever possible. Her Blade is a Gunrod, which can shoot enemies and project healing fields.
      - Taion: A soldier from Agnus who met Mio and Sena when he transferred to their current colony. He's good at reading the landscape and formulating plans, but he can be a bit cautious at times. His Blade commands spell tags called Mondo, which can sense different life signatures.
      - Lanz: A soldier from Keves, and long-time friend of Noah and Eunie. A tragedy from long ago that cost the life of another friend motivates him to push himself and get stronger. His Blade is a Shieldblade, which can block attacks with its flat and comes with a turret in its handle.
      - Sena: A soldier from Agnus, and long-time friend of Mio. She appears spunky and upbeat, but she often questions what she's really supposed to be like. Her drive to train helped her and Lanz get along easily. Her Blade is the Comet Mallet, with a hammerhead about as big as herself.
      - Riku: A Nopon engineer from Keves, from the same colony as Noah, Eunie, and Lanz. He's surprisingly wise and cool-headed for a Nopon, and has advised Noah for a long time.
      - Manana: A Nopon chef from Agnus, from the same colony as Mio, Taion, and Sena. Despite her incredible culinary talent, she's as innocent and cheery as just about any Nopon.
      - Guernica Vandham: A mysterious old man who broke up a fight between the parties of Noah and Mio, and activated the Ouroboros Stone that granted them the power of Ouroboros. It's from him that they got their mission: reach Swordmarch and find a way to save the world from its endless war.

Xenoblade, the first one, originally came out on the nintendo Wii, which really pushed that system's graphical capabilities to its limits. It was remastered for the switch as the definitive edition after they brought out xenoblade 2 - as it sold very well. Xenoblade X is lesser played because it was a Wii U exclusive a console that wasn't really liked much, and so far it hasn't been remastered or brought to the switch. 2 and 3 are on the switch and are great games.... but it's recommended you play 1,2 and 3 in order with their addon sequels. They are good stories and I am not ashamed to admit, all three games when I first played them, turned me into waterfalls at certain points. They have great storytelling.

Xenoblade 3 is basically heavily focused on the theme of life. They dive into it in a very unique way that the game would turn out to be very existential and personal.

    XC1 -> Future Connect
    Torna -> XC2
    Future Redeemed -> XC3
Of course, when it comes to playing each gme. Its actually advised to play the main games and then their DLC stories. So the play order is: XC1 -> Future Connect. Then XC2 -> Torna. And finally XC3 -> Future Redeemed.

Its pronounced both ways, even in official trailers. I've always pronounced it the same way you did at first.
Also you pointed out the phrase "make my sparks fly". That's actually a neat little point about the world building of xenoblade 3. The world and the lives of the characters are centered around their 10 year life spans, which are represented by their "flame clocks". And since it's a very big element of their lives, they use a lot of language like phrases and even swears that have to do with fire, flames, and light. Spark and snuff/snuffing are used all the time as made up swears, and its just a neat little way they make the world and story of the game feel more genuine and real

  • @BobTheism

So Xenoblade has a really interesting history that starts quite some time before Xenoblade 1 released.
In the late 90s the new hotness was the Nintendo 64 and the Playstation (the first one). The company Square had seen a fair bit of success with its Final Fantasy series and naturally wanted to get to work on a new Final Fantasy for the new generation. Internally, Tetsuya Takahashi and Soraya Saga (pseudonym), a married couple both working for Square, pitched a potential storyline for Final Fantasy 7. The pitched storyline was deemed to be too mature, too dark and complicated, for the Final Fantasy series but Takahashi was allowed to take that pitch and work on a separate game with that premise. After briefly considering making it a sequel to Chrono Trigger, the game eventually became Xenogears which was released for the Playstation in 1998.
Xenogears was a fairly successful game but also one that was kneecapped by a 2 year development cycle, pretty normal for the industry at the time but insufficient for the grand scope of the game, infamously resulting in a large part of the story being told through narration over a slide show essentially. It also almost didn't come out in the USA due to an abundance of religious motifs and references being considered potentially sensitive in the west. The game didn't come out in Europe at all.
After Xenogears, Takahashi became dissatisfied with Square's business approach, mainly how much focus was put on Final Fantasy to the detriment of other projects within the company, leaving the Xenogears team with no funding or opportunity to work on sequels. Together with Hirohide Sugiura, fellow Square veteran, and with support from Namco founder Masaya Nakamura, Takahashi and most of the Xenogears left Square to found Monolith Soft, a studio that was initially owned by Namco.
Under Namco, Monolith Soft got to work on Xenosaga, a grand epic RPG that was planned to consist of 6 episodes and a spiritual successor to Xenogears. However, due to episode 1 underperforming, the subsequent episodes pulled in different creative directions and ultimately Xenosaga ended up as 3 episodes released 2002-2006 as well as an in between episode released as a text/audio drama on Namco's website known as Xenosaga Episode 2 to 3: the Missing Year. All the same, the Xenosaga series received something of a cult following. Also, Episodes 1 and 3 weren't released in Europe but episode 2 was, one of the most baffling business decisions I've ever heard.
According to Sugiura, Monolith Soft's relations with Namco had soured after Nakamura retired in 2002. The company underwent changes, even more so after merging with Bandai in 2005, and Monolith Soft felt they had less creative freedom and weren't allowed creative risks from the company. After receiving consultation from Shinji Hatano who was an executive director at Nintendo who encouraged the studio to keep creating innovative projescts, Monolith Soft decided to break away from Namco Bandai and became a Nintendo subsidiary which was a position where they were allowed greater creative freedom. It is interesting to note though that this was an unusual move from Nintendo which has never been much for mergers and acquisitions of other companies but according to the great late Satoru Iwata, then CEO of Nintendo, this acquistition came about as a result of positive relations between Sugiura and Nintendo as well as the similar design and development philosophies between the two companies.
Monolith Soft put out a few games for Nintendo, such as Soma Bringer and Disaster: Day of Crisis, and even assisted in the development of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Starting in 2006, not long after Nintendo's acquisition of Monolith, Takahashi was struck with a creative idea about two warring civilizations living on the frozen bodies of gigantic gods, an idea that eventually became a concept for a game that was originally titled Monado: Beginning of the World but changed name at the urging of Iwata who wished to honor Takahashi's previous work and thought the Xeno- prefix should be included and thus it became Xenoblade. Apparently Takahashi was expecting to have to make cuts and compromises on his vision and even had some suggestions for how to trim down the game but Nintendo producer Hitoshi Yamagami who gave the green light in the first place rejected all suggestions and instead persuaded Nintendo to allow and support the team in completing the vision as intended. Even though the game was actually planned as an international release from the start, Xenoblade almost didn't come to the USA. It was localized for Europe but initially there weren't any plans announced for an American release. There was a whole thing surrounding this game as well as Last Story and Pandora's Tower from Xseed Games, another Nintendo subsidiary, that weren't going to be localized either and American fans organized a fan campaign called Operation Rainfall and all three games were eventually released in all regions. Despite me being European I have to thank American fans for getting me interested in these games with their passion which led me to discover Xenoblade and eventually also this insane rabbit whole stretching back to Xenogears.

As a longtime Xenoblade fan, Xenoblade 3 easily became my favourite in the series, beating Xenoblade DE as my previous favourite.
Xenoblade DE I'd say handles world set-up the best. You easily become invested because characters have clear defining goals that you can follow, and you feel like you learn things right there beside them.
Xenoblade 2 I'd say surprisingly has the most layers in it's plot and world building. Despite looking the most "anime", it takes plenty of themes about accepting death and moving forward.
Xenoblade 3 I would say has the best character writing in general. Whilst (in my personal opinion) the plot is surprisingly not as complex as the first two games, it picks up it's weight instead with character motivations and character development. You can actually play XB3 without experiencing the first two games, but you'll feel more satisfied if you've played those games first. The expansion for XB3 (Future Redeemed) you absolutely MUST play the prior two games for the best experience.
Xenoblade X a lot of fans are split on (as it stands as it's own thing), however I believe there's no question that Xenoblade X has the best world to explore. It's the only game in the series considered fully Open World and absolutely blows you away with what you can find around every corner.
As for gameplay, it's a funny one. People look at Xenoblade's combat and assume it's rather unengaging, however that couldn't be further from the truth.
Sure, it might not be your typical "spam attacks until you win" but the concept of combat is simple enough for anyone to understand, yet deep enough for people to learn new ways of fighting. It's easy to dismiss something because it may look different, but I promise that the gameplay is far more engaging that whatever you're currently picturing. It's hard to explain it fully, but just know that it DOES pose a challenge if you underestimate it.

Much like the Persona series, Xenoblade games are very long RPG games that have hundreds of hours of content (combined of course) and have a very dedicated fanbase.
So dedicated in fact that a majority of the fanbase always minds what they say on the internet because they don’t want to spoil stuff for newcomers as they want them to experience the games themselves.
That being said, while I do like the games I have played, and the fanbase is pretty cool, it’s not as big as it could be, like the Persona series.
I believe that’s mostly due to it being a Nintendo exclusive game and not everyone liking the gameplays. But if you do plan on getting into it, I can assure you will enjoy the stories and characters.
Also the “XENO” in Xenoblade is supposed to be pronounced the same way you pronounce the XENO in Xenophobia.
You can say it either way, but the way I explained is the most common pronunciation people use.

WE FINALLY DID IT YIPPEEE😂☠️ we appreciate you guys watching the trailers!
I think if you ever do get into Xenoblade I personally think you guys should watch the cutscenes. Someone could make a playlist for you guys to watch the cutscenes or maybe someone can find a pre-existing playlist for you guys to watch. I always say this about Xenoblade, even before it got really really big, but the gameplay isn't for everyone. I feel like if your a little iffy on the gameplay then there's a big chance you might not like the gameplay at all.
So I recommend watching the cutscenes like your Naruto storm videos and genshin impact. Xenoblade while the gameplay may not be for everyone, DEFINITELY has a story that's worth watching It's so good 😭

From a development perspective 3's flutes were chosen to give the game's soundtrack a distinct identity that stood out from the previous games.
From a story perspective, the sound of the flutes causes the light rising from killed soldiers to change colour, giving the surviving soldiers the feeling that their spirits were being "sent off" and giving them closure over the lives of comrades they'd lost. So playing flutes to see off the fallen became a tradition in both sides of the war. Rather than a leisure thing, playing flutes just another part of war in Xenoblade 3, which is why there are no other instruments, these soldiers don't really experience leisure!

Xenoblade Chronicles Series is one of the most popular JRPG in our days and even underrated. Calling that a decade ago would fit it, but now a days is one of the best franchises in Nintendo, not only in critics but also sales, but these games wouldn't never become this popular sense the first game was never supposed to get a release in North America, and Nintendo America never had the interest in it, the last years of the Nintendo Wii, the First game was released in 2010 in Japan, months later Europe would announce a release for 2011, with an English localizations and dub, along another games like The Last Story, and Pandora's Tower, however Nintendo America keep silence for any news for these game for being niche games sense there was not a big sector of these games, but that would not last for long, if it wasn't for Fan Support and the fan proyect know as "Operation Rainfall" which propuse was to bring Japanese games to NA, but mainly The Last Story, Pandora's Tower and Xenoblade Chronicles which was a success for each game and the games arrived in 2012, while the other two wouldn't get that much love, xenoblade became one of most reliable series for Nintendo, so much that Xenoblade 2 was part of the first lineup for the Nintendo Switch.
Honestly I always recomend this series for those who want great experience in the nintendo console

I don't think there's a convenient lore video that also doesn't spoil every major twist the series has, you kind of have to talk about each game's ending to explain things. The general starter pack lore is what you get in the trailers, explaining the setting, the start of the journey, etc. Then the 2nd half of each game has all the "but actually" moments that fans still talk about to this day.
A lore video probably would be better overall though, 'cause I've watched all the cutscenes in a row before, and it's pretty awkward/jarring to hear characters say lines similar to ones they just said 10 minutes ago, when it'd otherwise be 2 hours ago with gameplay.

    • @rhettmitchell
      @rhettmitchell 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

    • @vintoplad
      @vintoplad 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

@@rhettmitchell Yeah, but from other reactions I've seen them do, I don't get the vibe that "the characters" are ever a selling point for them. Maybe I'm misreading them, but the Persona 3 Reload reaction video definitely stood out to me (and other Persona related videos I think). The ideal scenario would be just playing the games to truly take in the worlds, but that's a huge commitment for people who are barely on the fence for if they're interested.

As for the flutes in Xenoblade 3, they are for seeing off the dead. People die all of the time in Xenoblade 3 so you literally need a designated offseer in your platoon and that is what Noah(the guy with the sword) and Mio(the cat girl)are in their respective platoons.
It’s basically Yuna from Final Fantasy X doing her dance to see off the souls that were killed by Sin.
You are also right that you really need to play Xenoblade 1 and 2 before you play 3 because the 2 armies themselves are literally representations of Xenoblade 1 and 2 fighting each other with Keves being Xenoblade 1 and Agnus being Xenoblade 2. The respective leaders of each nation are also literally party members from their games. Future Redeemed is also absolutely required to played after Xenoblade 1 and 2 because the main protagonists and their progeny are your party members in that dlc.

While I don't want to get into details, all 3 games (excluding X) are tied together in a way. The best part if you want to get into the franchise, it's pretty much completed. XC3 Future Redeemed pretty much signed off the entire Xenoblade series and tied all loose ends together, brining a huge saga to an end.
With the huge success of XC3, I think XC4 is in the making. With that being said, I expect it to be very different compared to what we saw so far. New characters, new world, new everything, very minimal references to the other games. Everything is open for debate and no one has a clue what Monolith Soft are planning. I could very possibly be wrong and they work on a new IP.

All the Xenoblades are fantastic. The original is so good, with so many plot twists, some of the best environments in any of the series. The second is very anime but gorgeous soundtrack and vistas and a story that connects a LITTLE bit to the first. The third is emotionally VERY heavy, lovely soundtrack and themes, and some story connections to the previous games, but it also stands on its own. The series is amazing. Every game is easily a 9/10 or higher.

Recommending a story/lore video for Xenoblade is a bit tricky because there aren't many that could be considered spoiler-friendly. It's also difficult because each game has stories and casts that are mostly disconnected from each other (a select few reoccurring characters and story beats tie them together into one cohesive timeline).
One video that could give you a more well-rounded look at the series is the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Direct, as it shows off both the gameplay and story a little more clearly than a brief trailer.

I love this series so much. Especially the first game. Shulk is such a great protagonist. You two should listen to some of the music from these games.. 10/10

Honestly as far as JRPGs goes, Xenoblade has among the best story. It does what most JRPGs does, but way better. It's definitely worth maybe doing a series where you react to the story some time. XC1 and 3 have AMAZING english dubs too, just XC2's english voice acting is sadly really, realy, really bad. But it's definitely something that would be cool if you checked it out

The thing about Torna is that if you played Xenoblade 2 first then you know how it will end for these characters right from the start and so its all about the dichotomy between the characters being hopeful and optimistic while the player is aware that they are watching a tragedy unfold

I had never seen Xenoblade X trailers until now, even when Xenoblade X was my starting point in the franchise (blame Sawano and his OST)

Just passing by...The only thing that I could say is that all three are equally good, story-wise. It may not be apparent at first but the depth all of these games had to offer are top-notch. The music is really good as well specially for 3 but my personal fave are still the 1st and X in terms of music.
