I've got a KTM sdr 1.0, it has the same problem. Thanks a lot for the info, now I have brought a new sensor to replace the old one. The replacement also has the part number as 5100.

Have you ever had issues with mtc cold starts? I have a 14 sdr and all of a sudden mtc code will flash. Pretty hard cold start. New battery. Runs rough for a few mins then runs fine.

not as yet but i have had issues with my dash twice, currently got another damaged one by water getting into it! This could be one reason but MTC can be other things not just traction control. It can be the servo motor on the butterfly valves not working correctly or the sensor faulty. Does it still make the loud high pitch squeal when turning on ignition?
