    did you check if the speedometer sensor on your trans was bad before you changed this sensor,?,,im researching and this sensor you replaced is the abs sensor....seems like it does affect the speedometer also....its confusing...i changed the one on my transfer case, speedometer still isnt working, i will try changing this sensor next....thanks for the video

      This particular truck does not have a speed sensor in the transmission. This truck is equipped with an NV3500 5 speed manual transmission. The only electrical hookup in it is the reverse light. Some trucks do indeed have the speed sensor built into the transmission. This one however is mounted in the differential.

    I have this truck. I bought the part from Car parts . Bur in the box it gives instructions for a wheel application. Are they the same item ?

      Some speed sensors are mounted to wheel hub backing plates. This truck should either be in the rear differential like this video or in the transmission output shaft

    Hi! What caused the replacement of the sensor? Did you throw a code?
    Our 1999 5.2 Ram is slow to shift at times or gets stuck in a gear until you decelerate. Sometimes it happens and some days not.

      That sounds more like a transmission issue - governor (pressure) solenoid possibly. The speed sensor going bad caused our speedometer to stop working.
