This is a really helpful video. The size comparisons, specifically, were really helpful to me. The CRK, Benchmade and Spyderco comparisons gave me a perfect idea of what to expect. I was looking for a SnG/SMF comparison, but I totally get the idea from this video. Thanks!

I appreciate you making this video. It is surprising the difference between the 3 and 3.5. When I initially looked at them both side by side, I thought the 3.5 was an XM24. I have a couple 3 inch Skinny's and am thinking about getting a 3.5 Non-flipper.

    i have 3.5" XM's up the wazoo..
Only one 3" and i carry that little one since 2012 every day. hardly carry the 3.5"
I really need a couple more 3" because that it the perfect knife period.

the price range is almost the same, really hard to justify the 3 over the 3.5

Love the xm 3". But i cant find a bowie bladed 3" non flipper. Do they exist? Hate the spanto and slicer grind

Randy don't know if you herd, Hinderer is now coming out with a 3 inch slip joint knife, it looks like a thinner xm-18 3 inch non flipper

Your missing a skinner xm-18 in the mix. I own one and I love it. 3.5 is my preferred.

Completely agree, two very different knives. I prefer the 3.5 as it feels like an absolute tank but also carries well. It is the perfect size for me. To me, the 3 inch is fine but just feels small and unsubstantial in hand.

Hinderer finally released some non-flipper XM-18s! Saw them on Knifecenter but they are all slicer grind so I'm hoping for a spanto one.

Would scoop one up if they didn't have Teflon washers. Good job with the video!

Or if you’re like me you are off put by the gigantic knives Hinderer makes and like the 3 inch version.

I got to go to monkey edge in Phoenix and handle the 3.5 In Bowie. I think if I ever bought one it would be that one.

I have put away my 31/2"'s and now just carry my 2- 3"rs...lighter, easier to flip, and to carry.

Spyderco doesn't hold a candle when it comes to durability versus Hinderer..... end of story

And Hinderer doesn't hold a candle in durability to a full tang fixed blade.

Besides the handle length, blade length and thickness they are the same. Same handle scale design, same hardware, same crappy Teflon washers. For the price of these cookie cutter knives, you can get into a lot better of a knife. Sorry but he has not really come out with anything astonishing for what you pay for them. All Hinderer does is put different blades in the same handle scales. Very similar to what ADV does. These things had nothing but problems with the detents as well.

That's translucent green, Jade is a much darker shade of green.
