Loved the free hand milling, Koss. Always amazed at the simplicity of what you build sometimes and the beauty it becomes...truly simple elegance! Thanks Koss, always a treat!
This really does have a simple and yet still exquisite design. As someone who uses knives both in camping/backpacking and cooking, I have some sense of a good blade design(though no expert), and the blade seems well designed for a useful pocket knife, the minimalist design is perfect for pocket carry and ease of use, And the lines are aesthetically perfect. The perfect pocket knife? And all hand made. Wonderfully done.
Traditionally tantos don't have grip pads they're just a wooden block for the handle so you'd lose the traditional look, though I'm sure it would make it more comfortable to hold
Without some kind of internal stop pin or ledge on the ricasso for the closed position, won’t the edge of the blade bang on the inside of the handle when closing?
great looking knife .... 2 questions: (1) why don't you add ball bearings? your stuff is quality enough for it. (2) I didn't see a locking mechanism, was there one? thx
What an awesome minimalist design! Another truly epic piece! Thanks again!

Right, I'm a CNC machinist and I've NEVER seen anybody try that one
I was doing my own higonokame and that square brass tubing looks like a GREAT advantage over hammering flat stock. Awesome build!
That is the best looking higonokami I've ever seen. It's like a japanese version of the Otter copper folder
Man you are truly skilled. I never get tired of these videos.
Very nice medieval European peasant's knife!
It is a XX century Japanese school student pen knife ;)
Very nice elegant, simple, razor sharp,, and these qualities when blended are very Japanese in my opinion The beauty speaks for itself! Thank you.
That surface grinder! I want one!!
Awesome work. It's cool seeing the processes behind the knife part.
Again abs. perfect video and product, bravo and full respect from old BG.
Beauty. And a decently thick blade too.
Thank you, Koss, for sharing your craft with us.
This is what art looks like...

HIGOKONAMI 3.0!!! AWESOME WORK
Beautiful blade you made there
Nice friction folder
I am always waiting your video!!!!!!
So classy and simple
MASTERPIECE!
beautiful piece of work
The design looks like shaver from 60's
That's one of the reasons I love this knife. Idk what is about a straight razor I enjoy so much, though....
@@HaloDJumper couldn't agree more
Well before straight razors got formed people used to shave with knives...
@@galadballcrusher8182 yes i knew, i have one at home from 60's, it was belonged my grandfather
@@agungh1670 i mean regular knives just sharpened well. Even in middle ages
Clean design. Classy.
Congrats on 1M, 👑🙌🏾🤝
Huge respect for the blade thickness.. 👌
Excellent work.
Very elegant.
Exciting video! Impressive craftsmanship and attention to detail. Great job! I would add grip pads. Copper is very soft, they will strengthen it.
I think the same

@@dylandavis2737 I am not opposed to this option. but then you need to do not from copper
@@serengytech is the handle not wood? I honestly just skimmed the video and it looked like wood
@@dylandavis2737no it’s copper
Absolutely perfect
simply magnificient and beautiful
Beautiful piece… 😍
I really need to make this one day. The design is simple but sweet, and I have a ton of short steel scraps that would make great folders :)
So beautiful!
Fantastic 🔪🔥🔥

Brilliant handcrafted beauty
Brilliantly simple 😀.
Good job 👍🏻.
Awesome Higonokami type knife! Great stuff.

¡Bellísimo!

Clean friction folder ❤
This reminds me of the higonokami nagao japanese folder blade

Another Tactical folder , in the take over !!!
Damn, missed out on this beauty
Nice
Great looking knife! Nice work!
It's actually better than the real one.
I'd carve a little notch where the bar part meets the hinge, so it locks in better.
Nice work..👍🏻
Try make Kerambit knife bro 🙏🏻
thank you
Eline sağlık.
Amazing..
You should electro etch some kind of design into the handle. That would be killer!
Sweet
Interesting
May I inquire where you source that tubing from ? Thank you! Love this knife
so pretty...
Super nice little knife! May I ask where you source that tubing. I’d love to attempt to make one of these. Thanks much!
great looking knife .... 2 questions: (1) why don't you add ball bearings? your stuff is quality enough for it. (2) I didn't see a locking mechanism, was there one? thx
I dont make knives but I have a design Idea that youd be perfect for.
Mantap👍
Mantap 👍👍👍
How does the blade stay sharp through the tumbling process? Do you sharpen it again afterwards, or is the tumbling media just really soft?
I have a question about your bandsaw. What type of bandsaw are you using and which blades do you use with it?
if all Higonokami where like this one I could understand.
Gorgeous! But how did you make the integral handle??! I’d love to have seen the process on that, beautiful design.
Gorgeous
Very pretty. Looks heavy in pocket .?
nice work, fantastic knife but blade is too thick
