    Thanks for the video.
Although I personally don't like such a big flipper, the knives have a very good design and attention to detail 👍

I felt the same about the flipper… until I bought one. One of the few flippers I enjoy!

That's definitely because of the finish.
I wouldn't necessarily expect a response to your email. They're excellent with actual problems, but also extremely dismissive of (for lack of a better word) stupid questions. Steel rusts, even stainless. Surface finish greatly affects corrosion resistance.
I'd clean it really good with soap and water and a sponge, to remove any possible contamination, then just be aware that it's probably gonna do it again in the future.
    I want a 3" skinny/liner lock so badly!
    Good comparison.

I agree, it is the nature or these materials. Just unfortunate it happens so easily on this blade. Thanks for the comment!

CNYknifenut is 💯% right about Hinderer’s warranty. They will respond very quickly, but if the issue doesn’t fall under what they cover they will be exactly as he described completely dismissive. I emailed them once for a XM18 that had slight detent lash and they basically said they will not fix it. Then they sent them another email asking why they wouldn’t take a look at it. I even said in the email if it looks like it was tampered with then just send it back. They never even responded. That’s why I’ll stick with CRK I still have maybe 3 good Hinderer’s, but I carry my Zann and Sabenza’s much more than any of my Hinderer’s.

I wear an XL glove and grabbed the 3.0 a few years ago and immediately realized it was way too small for me. Carried great but other than small letter opening tasks it would be hard to hold for any heavier use. It is about 1/4" shorter than a Para 3 which seems to fill the hand much better. The non-flippers handle nicely too as the tab can be in the way and rub the fingers with heavier useage.

Comparison to the Para3 gave me a clear idea of the size of the 3.0. I know the 3.0 is going to be better for harder use than the Para3, but the Para3, both regular and lightweight, is my favorite in that size. I'll probably pony up for the 3.5, but the 3.5 goes quick whenever they become available.

That would be a great comparison, unfortunately I no longer have the 3”. I will say though, if you like the para 3 size, I don’t think you’ll find the 3.5” xm-18 too big. It’s bigger, but in my opinion doesn’t quite feel as big as the PM2.

I wished this video was made 5 days ago lol, I recently jus my purchased my first Hinderer. I got the 3” and in my experience it felt the same way I felt about the Pm2 and Para 3 in size comparison. At first I was scared the Para 3 would be too small but it kinda melted in my hand and felt right. But at the same time I still want to own a Xm 3.5 to feel that full size. I’m still going keep the 3” just cause it’s a good EDC and it’s not like supper intimating. But yeah man Great video, I think if I saw ur video before my purchase I would’ve had better understanding.

@@Hvac.tools_ the looks of the Eklipse don’t appeal to me as much as the XM-18, however it seems to be a great knife and of the same quality. I’m very interested in checking one out.
