the slower the better tbh, it's awesome anyway
The really early live versions are all this fast. They stopped playing it for a bit to work on it and when they started playing it again it was super slow. Way slower than it ended up on the album. I loved the early fast version but I think eventually it ended up perfect. The way it builds up gets me every time.
What a voice. Tight drummer, great bassist and guitarist, the whole band works together, full of energy, living the notes

What isn't okay is the cycle of forcing ideals of masculinity on others- Not every man or boy is going to be classically masculine and some who are just come into it later in life. Sons, brothers, women around them, even total strangers end up suffering under that shit and for what? Living up to bitter insecurities our fathers inherited from their fathers? Fuck that. Good men take responsibility for what they are, not outdated notions of what they should be that turn them into weak homophobes, wife-beaters and shitty dads. That song says it well enough.
I agree. I think the song (and the band) does an amazing job of guiding you through the song. It’s okay to be masculine, a proud man. More accurately, a proud gentleman. But what it comes down to is respect and honesty. Sometimes that means being vulnerable. Sometimes that means communicating. Sometimes that means stepping out of the box the world puts you in. There’s no real excuse for it, but look at our grandfathers. War veterans who died with carnage in their memory. They kept it to themselves and never sought peace or closure over what happened to them or what they did. It’s time men start taking more responsibility for how we act, how we treat each other and how we can improve the world around us.

I've watched this video often enough that I'd probably recognize the people in front of the stage when I see them walking in the street. And when I do, I'll say to them "Well done!" and they'll never know what that was all about.
I've never watched a video this many times in a short period. Those front row people are like family now ha.

Rockpalast is one of the most consistent amazing programs on german nation television. My parents watched the Police concert back then and i watched a lot of other great live shows in the past 20 years and nearly everyone is perfect.
been a while since a band moved me. I take that back. THis band is the first band to make ne feel a mfeeling in my chest that makes my blood pump. Absolutely amazing. Keep it up y'all. F N AMAZING

Interesting to see the difference a few years can make. The way they treat Colossus live is so much different in their more recent tour videos. This band is my new go to. Soon as this pandemic ends I'm seeing them asap.

Looks like a scene from “one flew over the cuckoo’s nest” this is my favourite band.. saved me falling over the edge.. helped my cope with things that seem trivial but that’s what makes the fine balance..
