im 34 and since the pandemic started I have feel the need for spiritual guidance 🙏 and i have found it in sanatana dharma. im not indian, was raised catholic, but it never made sense to me, and felt very hypocrite and contradicting. i made the mistake to confuse spirituality with religion and gave up on both, but its now my desire and purpose to learn all about this beautiful world of "hinduism" thank you, thank you, thank you!

It was a time when after lunch in village we used to sit in a room and my "dadu" used to read such books in a very good tone and then explain us.

I have always envisioned in my fantasies of India returning to its Vedic Roots in the pursuit of pure science and spirituality to build a magical, modern-day Utopia to become a beacon of sustainable growth and harmony for the rest of the world. Although some may consider this a far-fetched dream given the current state of our country, I wholeheartedly believe this is possible if the younger generations of India take up this ancient knowledge and inspire change through it.
I guess due to the last 1000 years of invaders looting n pillaging by Turk Mongols, n Mughals n lastly by British subjugation under foreign slavery Indians lost their vast knowledge n discoveries remain untapped or diminishing the Sanskrit skills left far too behind the Western world progress. Indeed this vast knowledge may help Indians to pave the way ahead of the present time while the rest of the world follows Indian Sutras as a principle knowledge for physics, chemistry.
Most of such knowledge was never given to most Indians. Most Indians before 1000 CE did not know how to read or write.

Actually the real change came with the British, the Mughals were more interested in ruling or spreading Islam than taking over Indian education. The education system in the sub continent today is a product of colonization. I mean south India was not invaded for 1000 years, Mughals got access to it after Akbar (not even whole of it). Yet they have the same Western influence. Its colonization, don't band wagon all the invaders together (I mean they didn't attack your beliefs like the British so why blame them?)

Vaiseshika is full of such astonishing things that most people don’t know even.
It is a matter of great regret that, though being descend of such rich and deep heritage, we didn’t took it forward and make "sarbakalyan" from it.
Can you tell me source of that book and what it teaches

I am so drawn to learn more of this! I would like a book translated in english. I will say this, some months after my brother passed I was doodling and asked him out loud how he looked now, I was now paying attention to what I was drawing but when I looked back later I realized I drew an atom.

Every single text from ancient India should be translated to all the languages of India and published in internet for free to every one.
There are still millions of manuscript kept is indian libraries untranslated
Translation is different from understanding inner meaning
It is not easy like any other languages
@@stockmarketpositivity7186 It can be translated, it just takes more words to convey the meaning, and in modern day its not a problem, 5000 years age there is no other way but to transmit the information orally, so Sanskrit's slokas is the best way for that, but in modern days it doesn't need to be a slokas, it can still be in Sanskrit but it should be in more modern day user friendly way, and our ancestors understand that that's why we have countless dramas and artworks on Mahabharata, Ramayana and others.
For example take Aryabhatiya (and other texts), it contains so much information about how our ancestor seems to look at the world in way of Science and Math but almost nobody in India can access that without learning Sanskrit, the only translation I can find online is by some English dude that was in English(obviously), and its horrible, the book is just full of criticism and assumptions and was written to prove the world why Greek mathematician at that time was superior to Indians. I mean it a shame.
My point is not to dumbing down but we need to modernize the Sanskrit (and all the knowledge in it) in accordance to the modern time, Sanskrit has all the qualities to became a modern language along with some other Indian languages but if we don't took that effect we might not be able to review our old languages.

whenever we learn about atoms it is quite funny because.. it is actually bunch of atoms learning about themselves...
A friend told me 30 years ago that he had heard a story that when MMY decided to teach TM teachers to practice an English translation of Patanjali's Flying Sutra, MMY spent time with current (c.1979) Shankaracharya of Jyotir Math, and worked it out with him, based on Viaseshika Sutras. This video has made that (apocraphyl, sure) story about 10x more facinating!!!!!!!! It is a very beautiful series of English words. I have always wondered why we didn't learn those sutras in Sanskrit??????? This video has started me wondering again.

@@KM-leons see, everything can't be changed in one go. Its a gradual process. It'll take 2-3 generations. We might not be present till then but will definitely see India going on that trajectory.

The wealth of ancient knowledge is incredible! I wish a good portion of these wisdom was incorporated in the modern education system. Something isn't right in today's schools. Feels like it's more of a factory churning out educated dummies than individuals who can think and analyse for themselves.
The educational system is setup so that most citizens born end up making the rich richer by working in companies and create wealth for society and rich.
So many emotions/thoughts come to mind after watching this video/series. Anger that invaluable Vedic knowledge was suppressed by Colonists, foreign invaders and by foolish leaders/educators after Independence. A sense of wonder/amazement by knowing about Atomic Theory in Vaiseshik Sutra. Wow ! Hopefully current/future leaders of India stop this cycle of suppression and bring forth knowledge/wisdom hidden in Ancient Indian knowledge for the benefit of Indian future generation and humanity.

anu also means particle and material substance or matter. param-anu means first form that comes out of non-duality singularity field or quantum field or (advait brahman) which means quarks.

One clarification: The Vedas do not have the what we think of as a 'god'. The Abrahamic 'God' is the name of their deity. Which is why the word is capitalized. It talks about the paramatma which means 'supreme consciousness', which is quite different from the concept of a deity.
Although we represented certain concepts as Murthys and certain personification. This was done with the understanding that incomprehensible and formless things and ideas must be given forms in order to be understood by the uninitiated. Western deities have personalities, likes and preferences, essential egos. Which cannot be attached with the idea of Shiva, Brahma and Vishnu.
To your point you will not really find Shiva Vishnu and Brahma in our Vedas either, we too had gods with personalities such as Indra Vayu Agni Ashwini etc.
@@indianhistorybuff Rigvedic Devas are encapsulations of attributes of nature, not deities.
They are however, characterized as deities in other works such as the Upanishads and Itihasas, but not the Vedas.
