Nadine PLEASE can you do a video on facial sweating - it's literally destroying my confidence and I can't be the only person struggling with it. Doesn't matter which makeup I put on my face, it melts off and looks a hot mess - even if its supposedly sweatproof - or I get those polka dot pores if I decide to do mineral makeup. I feel like I cant win - help!

I love Altruist spf30. It's easy to apply, sits beautifully under makeup and under €20 for a very large tube. But the bonus for me is that they donate some of their proceeds to projects for skin cancer prevention. I think I read they also donate to the albino children-project in Africa which is awesome!

I love the Paula’s Choice Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50. It is a similar consistency to the Skinceuticals, very runny and light weight. I have a very oily skin and live in a very hot/humid climate, so it works perfectly for me as both an antioxidant moisturiser and SPF step all in one!

Missha Aqua Gel with spf 50 is a great lotiony-gel spf. It's a chemical sunscreen, it doesn't sting even after a chemical peel, doesn't sting my eyes and it's great for combination/oily skin. It has a matte finish and for less than 10 dolars it's quite a bargain. Garnier spf 50 spray is quite idiot proof for reapplying, especially over makeup. Love your recommandations, definitely will give them a try!

I also bought 3 spf's on Yesstyle recently. 2 by Missha and 1 from Hado Labo. I'm now using one of the Missha SPF's (the aqua gel one (white box with blue accents)) and I got at least 3 consecutive days with this one without a break out or a fungal acne break out. I specifically searched for SPF's that are safe for fungal acne because next to normal acne I also have the joys of fungal acne and very sensitive reactive skin for SPF. I've used regular European brand SPF's in the past and they all made me break out very quickly even LRP, Avene and the ones with physical filters.
I would love it if Nadine could make a video about fungal acne and which products are safe to use from skincare to bodycare to treatments to make up. Luckily I found a lot of information on simpleskincarescience.com and I use folliculisscout.com to scan ingredients lists of products I might consider buying. There's also an active reddit thread for fungal acne IIRC.
I also don't like the fact that a lot of companies use nano ingredients in their products. We don't even know what kind of damage these particles can do to our bodies and our health. Maybe a nice vid idea?

Purito makes my fave sunscreens (a Korean brand) for my hypersensitive rosacea/eczema prone skin. Normally I can only use a mineral spf like the comfy water mineral spf50 pa++++ from Purito, but their unscented centella spf50 pa++++ uses all the new next gen filters and DOSEN'T STING my skin or eyes - yippee. Mineral sunscreens are often very drying and play havoc with my eczema so being able to use a chemical screen without the stinging/burning is so good. I love it and highly recommend it. I do like the comfy water mineral screen, but it is a little more tricky as you have to be careful which moisturiser you use underneath re pilling/balling up. The unscented centella chemical screen has never pilled and I can use it around my eyes without issue. I used to use ultrasun and still love that on my body, but the recent advent of rosacea (type one and mild) has meant anything really alcohol heavy stings very badly and I can no longer use it on my face/neck/chest. The Korean sunscreens are also more affordable which is a bonus. Best wishes.

Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence is a phenomenal physical sunscreen. It's SPF50, has a light gel-like texture, doesn't leave a white cast, and contains skin beneficial ingredients, including niacinamide. It's about $20-25 US and I buy it online (have never seen it in a store). I have normal skin and use it for both SPF and moisturizer. I apply it right up to my eyeballs and have never had any sensitivity (and I have sensitive light blue eyes). Plays nicely under makeup too. It's the only sunscreen I have ever applied faithfully every day because it's a pleasure to use.

I usually get La Roche Posay or Altruist (cheap) for facial sunscreen. There's also a good Garnier one for oily skin which is about £6, which is great because I can get the odd spot due to sunscreen. I do also use Ultrasun or Boots Once (also cheap lol). I'm with you on being suspicious about once a day creams but I only use them on days when I know I'm going to be outdoors a lot eg festivals (remember them lol) or at the park with my son. They do seem to work well. I wear them over my mineral foundation & have never burnt. Emma x

Purito, all versions, make: prem, and dear, Klairs are moisturizing lotions that are just lovely. The klairs (White bottle, haven’t tried the new blue bottle mineral one) one is my fave in the winter. For a gel, CosRx aloe is so good for a lightweight summer SPF in the super hot and humid south Texas summer. Those are my fave Korean ones.
For Japanese, most Shisedo ones are great. Specifically the Anessa range.
I believe you can get all of these on YesStyle and they do free shipping. I think they offer free “expedited” at over £100. You just need to be mindful of how long it says it will take to get something in stock-they’ll give estimates up to 21 days-because they don’t ship partial packages, they ship one everything’s in stock.

As someone who suffers from sun rash every summer, especially when abroad in warmer climates, the only sun protection that actually worked for me is Institute Estederms Sun intolerance body spray. It's a mineral lotion that feels nothing like an spf but more lika a lovely body lotion.I use only where I usually get the itching blisters; chest, neck, arms and its been fool proof every time. It is expensive, but last a long time if you use i wisely. Over the rest of my body I usually use LRP or vichy, preferably the mists or sprays. Hate sticky spf's, I hate having to rubb things in.

Perhaps not popular picks, but the sunscreens I regularly use are the ELF Beauty Shield SPF 50 moisturizer or primer. They're allegedly antioxidant rich to fight pollution? They're slightly tinted and probably not great for deep skin tones. But they're reasonably priced and I like them.

Hi Nadine try Moonshot. Korean easy to find light weight slight dewy but not like you've been frying all day. I'm really liking it.

Ok so I am excited......I think I might have just figured out why my eyes just get randomly irritated sometimes. I have days where they will just water and water and I have no clue why. Maybe it is my sunscreen? I will have to pay more attention now to which one I am wearing when that happens. Thank you to everyone for the revelation!!!!!!!!!

Ultrasun mineral spf 50 is what I'm using at the moment. Qvc had an offer for x2 and it's nice, but it does give you a white cast initially before drying down

Purito: Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ PA ++++
more of a chemical like formulation, water-based, good for dry skin.
Purito: Comfy Water Sun Block SPF50+ PA++++
a physical type formulation, also water-based, good for oily skin.
Both can be purchased here in the UK from pureseoul.co.uk or yesstyle but delivery is a bit poop on yesstyle at the moment so I try to use pureseoul for convenience lol

I love the Heliocare range. The one that you show is amazing and also the version without color is my favourite for under makeup. But I have to say I discover the best one the water gel is amazing if you sweat a lot in the Sumer or if you going to the pool. 😍

@ Luisa Hurtado Does makeup apply well over the heliocare oil free gel? Or does it make foundation go patchy or cakey? Also I've read where people say it's hard to apply as it dries fast and also that it balls up on the skin and rubs off?

Favorite Japanese SPF is Anessa perfect skincare milk SPF 50 ++++. So light, it is the lightest texture I have ever found. Expensive in Canada, but it is the only sunscreen I will use on my face. I but it at an Asian market, but i think they have it on YesStyle also.

I'm using the Ren one, I love it because it's matifying and great to use under makeup. All other spfs I used in the past made me a giant greasy ball despite the "matifying" claims. But I wonder how I would get on with gel formulations so maybe I will give that a go.

Thanks for introducing me to SVR, sounds awesome! Have you tried any Korean sunscreens? Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence and Purito Centella Sunscreen are both SPF 50, relatively affordable, made by the same lab and have a good reputation for being lightweight

You never mention colorescience, is a very good face and body SPF reasonably priced, just saying. I always have several SPF on the go because I like to try different formulations and finishes and their face shield is a staple for me. X

Susana Stevens I agree about Face Shield. Very light weight and evens out my skin tone. I still am using their original tone but they came out with a few more shades. I also love their undereye one, Total Eye.

i love the australian gold tinted mineral spf 50---- they now have 3 shades (haven't tried those, yet.) their old one, the original, was the perfect shade for me--- bluring, perfecting, efficient AND great under makeup...... as all physical, can be a bit drying (more a feeling than the actual condition of the skin, however) so hydrating underneath is important. At the moment I'm using CeraVe tinted mineral spf 30-- a bit dark for me, great on its own (no need for moisturizer) howver less great under makeup. :-)

From the ones you've mentioned, I've tried the DE Umbra sheer daily defence and REN Clean screen mineral spf, but I didn't like them. The first one it was too glowy, almost greasy on my face and the second didn't have any slip like you said and it felt like I was pulling my face off. I've just ordered the Garnier sunscreen that you've mentioned on Instagram and I really enjoyed the Missha All around safe block ( which comes in many textures ) and Purito Centella green level. I buy all my korean/japanese products from YesStyle and didn't have any problems so far and they ship internationally.

Clinique do a nice mineral spf 50 for face. You have to wait a while but after 10 mins the white cast goes and the shine turns into a nice glow. I am pale though, with freckles.

I really love an SPF 50 by Shiseido unfortunately the name’s in Japanese & it’s not available in uk stores, it’s very light weight, sits well under makeup and feels like skin care, I buy it online and recognise it by its distinctive royal blue packaging, my favourite mineral SS is Sunprise by Etude House, a Korean brand unfortunately it does leave a very light white caste but sits well under tinted moisturiser or foundation I buy them both from EBay because I’ve purchased from that famous Korean website Yes Style and found their customer service hopeless. La Roche Posay Anthelios XL will always be in my arsenal you cannot beat it for the price.

I have rosacea and acne and this protects my skin , doesn't cause breakouts and is lovely under make-up. I purchase my Korean beauty products on the beauty and Seoul website. Affordable prices. My mother also loves the SPF from Dr Sam bunting. Take care and stay safe

Hello Nadine from the States, really enjoy your videos and find them very helpful.
Have you ever heard of zinc oxide being very astringent and drying? At 66 I feel like I've tried every spf on the market for my sensitive skin, and recently went with Elta MD pure physical zinc - very highly rated and loved. By 4:00 in the afternoon my skin was dry, tight and uncomfortable, after 3 days I looked like I'd had a procedure! Went on line and read the above- zinc oxide is very astringent, drying, and best for younger skins.
Any thoughts? Thanks again for you always wonderful content!

Nadine you MUST try the Purito Unscented Centella sunscreen (chemical) or if you prefer mineral, the Purito Comfy Water sun screen (more mat) both available on Yes Style ... they have changed my life, no whitecast, feathery light ... I will never buy a European sunscreen again !
