Just about to do the engine bay on my Formula! Just pulled the old L98 and I'm stripping the rest of the engine bay but I'll get to it soon. Your video is very helpful! (I'm putting a F1A Procharged LS3 stroker in place of the L98)

I follow you and love your car. I am a big 3rd gen fan myself and owned two previously over 20 years ago, not at the same time of course. I admire anyone who works on their own car as I did and enjoyed it. Obviously, you are mechanically inclined and seem very knowledgeable. The only thing I would have done differently before applying primer to the engine bay is to apply a coat of POR15. This product has been around for years and is used by many classic car restorers, especially since you are using white paint.

Looking immaculate! I do love that textured finish under the heavy clear. Kudos to your brother!

Don’t forget you have to have a heavy duty double filter or recommend respirator!!!!!….and paper suit and goggles in the enclosed area!!!… beautiful work and stay healthy

I used a 3m Versaflo Powered respirator , so it' doesn't get safer than that.

Was your car originally an automatic? That doesn’t look like a factory cut clutch master cylinder hole. I ask because I’m the process of converting my ‘91 to manual. Just curious if you had any experience with doing the pedal swap and adding the holes to the firewall for the clutch master

ya, my car was an automatic
I cover cutting the clutch master hole in this video at 1:25.

You might want to examine the car under the car cover for overspray. I've been painting cars for over 30 years, and a good rule of thumb is if you can breathe through it, the clear will bleed through it...

there's some tiny grey over spray in weird corners, but nothing terrible.

Quality Paint is expensive these days.
supplies also added a lot to the cost

I spent $1700 on paint for my car. It's for the entire car and I also invested in a nice Devilbiss gun though.

woof. I don't like it. I don't like that textured look at all. Just looks already dirty.
