Impressive, your efforts are humbling. Looking forward to the "fun" part, the finished paint. I just had to thoroughly clean my engine bay, and do some minor touch up paint, mostly around my brake reservoir. Came out really nice though.

I'm currently 3 seconds off the pace of the National level CAM-T drivers.
new build will be around -400lbs lighter , closer to 50/50 split, 3x the power, more aero, better tires ex ex.
I'm hoping this new build gets me that time.

EXACTLY what I was looking for with the clutch master cylinder hole! I’ve got 4th Gen pedals with the “C” shaped brace for the clutch pedal so that’ll take a little of the measuring work out of drilling cutting.
In hindsight, was grinding down that plug necessary? Doesn’t look like it would’ve got in the way of the MC. I ask cuz unfortunately I did things backwards; I’ve already painted my engine bay. Grinding and repainting would be a pain 🤦🏻‍♂️

Did you use 4th gen pedals or third gen? Mine has the mechanical/zbar clutch and I'd really like to switch to hydraulic

I went with 3rd gen pedals, I haven't modified them for the clutch pedal rod though

Which carbide bit are you using? Mine seem to wear out really fast on thick metal like firewall.

some cheap china bit. it's 1/4 diameter at the head.

Couldn't you used aircraft paint stripper?

I couldn't find any when I did this engine bay.
they re-released a new stripper, so there was a gap in supply.
