About IAG, obviously they are big and reputable. I have never had a problem with their products. Last few years I have read some stories (anecdotal?) about built block warranties being denied over any number of things. Who knows how much of that is vape bros, vs people that know their shit. You clearly know your shit. I’m commenting 17 mins in, but I hope to see this car at Boxerfest again, crazy build. Dogspeed bro
I love your updates man great job and content is top tier! Really love the longer vids rather than 15 minute just pretty much talking content that others do. Can’t wait to see this beast done and running! Should be proud of yourself man 👌
Aluminum = hot and fast. Get the puddle wet. Back off temp and start moving. Stopping or going slow will ruin an aluminum weld. This takes practice my friend. Hot and fast in aluminum. And make sure the thin stuff you back the temp off. The pulse setting helps on thin stuff too.
Here is to Potter House Fab! Silas did an amazing job!! Brandon you have always worked very hard to make your ideas come to fruition! I can’t wait to see the final product!!! To Pluto you go!!!!! ❤
Nice build so far. A couple of helpful tips if you’d like 1) Stainless likes to be drilled slow and steady with cooling fluid. Going too fast will cause the stainless to heat up and get even harder to drill through esp with a hole saw 2) 2 hands on the dremel at all times. Trust me, you don’t wanna be near it when it gets caught and flings around
Totally your build and im not downing anything you are actually killing this build idea i just wantes too lyk just in case u wanna look into them but awhile back i tried a new coupler company i use too run whatever from greddy too perrin, mishimoto ext and since running some from hps ive used them on all my builds since im not sponsored or anything nor am i gonna list every thing i love aboutthem you just need too hold one and check it out and promise you wont be let down also has high psi strength and heat withstanding limits i try too use the lease amount of couplers on my builds to limit risks and i just dont ever deal with the ol blowing couplers aprt anymore unless i fail too tighten one up or something
Hope you're leak testing the welds on your intercooler and piping. I'd hate for you to have a minor boost leak that'll be almost impossible to track down after it's all put together. I've seen it happen on even the cleanest welds. Can't wait to see this thing running.
I’ve been loving this process seeing the start of the car to now. Saw it at boxerfest but missed out on meeting you this thing is awesome dude I love it can’t wait to see it again 🎉
Heli coil the threads on the aos.build your own aos, and call it the Schoenborn aos. I made mine and ran water to it to keep it hot and a drop in air cleaner to let the air out. Like the square kind of air cleaner designed for an air box. Worked peefect
This is what I wanna to do to my VA WRX and it’s nice to see someone do it. Great job on your project and been following this since you started. I can’t wait to see what the end result going to be
I support both! Precision helped out immensely with this build, so I'm running their full setup... I ran a Tial BOV on the last setup and loved it! You can't go wrong with either of them.
Yes true, they rate that at 1300 in terms of air flow, it’s for a low boost application where it doesn’t have to work as hard cooling the air. But I guess once you do some tuning and log intake temps you will see if it needs changing or not.
Correct, these are too small. Too little cross flow to cool. Low boost, sure. More than 20psi....meh IMO. We had a similar setup intercooler. Wasn't good for 40psi from a PTE6870.
Looking good. Your wastegate priority is not very good, so don't be surprised if you have boost creep. Exhaust gas does not take blunt, 90° turns very well.
Up-pipes will be modified in the future to have better priority to the wastegates. More than likely the powerband won't be as desirable with it set up this way, but it will be cool to show the difference in real time once I fix it.
Yeahhhh, it was just an easy spot to place them. I don't think we will deal with creep too much as we will be pretty high in the RPMs before we even start seeing boost. Plus, if it wants to give me more boost, give it to me, we got this LOL🤣😅🥳
Those IAG AOS are over kill & over priced. I don’t understand why people buy them when the old school way works just fine… Get a 3 port oil can vented.. that’s it.. good job in the build so far, you’ve got some serious cojones with this project…
10:50 no offense but you asked question and they answered not sure why you would be irritated. Maybe if you asked for a discount they would have offered you something but if you aren’t asking then why would you expect a discount? Not how it works.
At first I asked if they were willing to help out with a new one and all they did was send a link to a hose. Its not the first time I've had issues with IAG so I wasn't going to try much harder. Easier to just stay away.
As far as Customer support esp to an influencer… absolutely absurd. I been delt issues with 2 other companies for just accessories. Now hearing about a company for mods … . Not saying they should give you a free one but maybe a deep discount (like50%) . People that see the build on line or at car shows is major free advertising.. .. just saying … 😊
Here's the thing... I don't even need a discount, but I work with companies that I know support the customers that buy their products. The way they went about the whole situation was just extremely negligent and I wouldn't ever want you guys to have to deal like that. I hate starting drama like this, and I truly believe IAG puts in a lot of work for this industry, but theres no reason to have customer service like that. Help out the little guys a bit 🫠😅
Sorry but I beg to differ in reference to your comment with IAG. I have a car that is sponsored by a couple of different companies and when approaching IAG in reference to sponsorship they were more than happy to help me out with my product. Maybe before you purchase a product Reach out to that company and see if they’d be willing to sponsor you on your build. I’m not saying I get everything for free because I am nowhere near the level that you are and other people, I am a normal human being. But I reached out to them directly and they were more than helpful With my build and just saying, if you reach out to them first and their product fails, they stand behind it 100%.
But here's my thing... for 95% of their buyers that don't apply for a sponsorship, they can't receive that same customer service? I don't need a discount, I just don't support companies, especially of IAG's size, that don't help their people out. I know IAG has put a ton of work in for the Subaru industry, but poor support and customer service can destroy that so fast.
@@bschoenborn I know I don’t know how many people that have the WRX and the Sti and have IAG air separators. I have heard of numerous different problems People have had with positive results. It sounds to me like you just got a bad representative if I’m being honest. every single interaction I have ever had with them to include speaking with them on Instagram for over five hours one day solving an issue with one of their products, that’s amazing customer service in my eyes. But again we all are entitled to our own opinions. And on a different note, Panzer is going to be nasty! You have done a hell of a job with that car.

It wasn't over torqued and I've had 15+ messages of the same thing happening to other people. I have had so many issues with IAG and they never have once helped me or my customers. Its sad. They are quite a large company that have smaller companies beating them by a long shot with customer service. I'm not special, nor do I claim to be. But when a product fails, help us out. That goes for anyone. I'm not afraid to call out companies to support my peeps that have the same passion I do. Even with my personal business, if there is an issue with something I've built or sold, I 100% take care of them, because thats what makes you reputable and stand behind your work. I'm not going to spend money with a company that doesn't care about their customers.
@@bschoenborn 🤙 I can't disagree with what ur saying. Customer service is half the product. I do believe IAG has an impressive R&D team and although seemingly very over priced, the amount of time and thought that went into the product is what it paying for. I also believe it ur gonna charge top tier prices, top tier customer support should come with it. It didn't seem as clear as first, but I see now u are just trying to state your discontent with the experiences you've had with IAG
Thank you so much for actually putting out updates on it instead of doing 1 video a week with only 5 bolts being snugged and 1 cut made

Yep, everything is smoked and leak tested!
As a heads up unless things have changed, Cobb aos is same (probably made by iag)
Yeah exactly lol, so I can continue using the AOS in the same way I use it now, but with a team that cares about their customers.
