@@bschoenborn Yeah, I'd prefer to see a more usable car that you could actually drive on the street and across country. It's all cool until you have the windows down and you're breathing in all the fumes and your windshield melts LOL. I'm curious to see how this turns out as I also have a 2013 STI SE 1 of 100 and I always wanted to do something very unique with this car. Props to what you've achieved so far it's looking amazing 🔧💯💯🏁
Eh I don’t know about the sandwich plate I’ve seen people run these and loose about 10psi of oil pressure. Not sure if it’s specifically for some brands but it’s just what I’ve seen and heard on forums. & right on! I was thinking of adding a secondary flange tube to your oil filler neck to be a turbo inline drain. Insane 2 cylinders is spoiling up 1 single turbo lol.
Sandwich plate wouldnt work as a drain since that's the pressure side of the system. Doesn't matter how low it is, it's still pressure. I would pull the valve covers and weld some bungs on them.
Can't run to one of those ports as its too low on the pan, will have back pressure against the line. Would have to drill a hole at the top of the pan and weld a bung on there if anything.
@@bschoenborn That's true. Honestly that wouldn't be a bad idea either though. Super serviceable and it is cast aluminum so it'd be easy to drill and weld and easier to take off to bring to somebody
Use the factory turbo oil drain in one side and on the other drill and tap the head in the same place mirror image and copy the twin turbo design for the earlier subarus or I make a line from valve cover to oil pan for drain back and then t my turbo into that line that drains to the pan. This helps lost oil in the valve cover as well as a good turbo drain.

@@nathanr0912 yes sir🫡 i have a built b series and my 68mm turbo has some lag in and of itself haha. I have been considering nitros myself. Good luck on the build! Its really cool seeing someone do something unique on these cars! Keep it up and congrats on the first start!👍
If you have the battery out of the car, you should set it on a block of wood or some cardboard. Concrete discharges batteries, don’t understand why but it does. Can’t wait to see this thing rip!
New to the channel, had me so interested in a big boy twin turbo ej build. Is it just a built 257? Has it been stroked or anything? Would be sick to have a 2.6L ej twin turbskis. There's a workshop called NAS performance thats building a 3L ej25, would be sick to see that twin turbo.
@@bschoenborn the short end turbo to your fill/drain the run the long end anywhere you can access it if you can find some sorta cap for it then you just pop the cap and fill your oil probably have to cut the hose down a bit I did on mine but that’s what I’d do that’s gonna get tiresome real quick having to pop your rain off everytime then trying to get a funnel in there your probably have to use a hose and a pump anyway just an idea to save some frustration
Not as much as I probably should. I haven't put a crazy amount of miles on the car... but every drive sees 2-3 hard pulls. Engine has been fantastic so now I'm just testing things LOL

Don't use those junk gaskets that always leak on there! You should know better by now use mls gaskets on all exhaust plus they are all stainless and have a crushable fire ring for no leak and I bet you spent more on those junk felpro gaskets! Well when they leak next time use the right parts:-)
I'm normally a stickler for using high quality gaskets, but I've ran these forever and never had a single issue so I don't mind taking a quick trip to the parts store to grab them in a pinch.
I've learned with pie cuts that people either love or hate them. Personally, I love them. If we made the kit again, I'd have everything 3D scanned and have pipes bent to fit, but I have a special love for pie cuts as well.
Wow, an actual twin turbo Subaru. Not just a couple of hella horns lol
Saving up to buy me a 2008 with 40k miles you are really inspiring.
“I have a Subaru EJ and I haven’t had to add oil…” said no one ever! Good luck…wish you the best.

Dude, that thing is going to be a monster. Looking forward to see future content. Great job brother.
Are you restricted to Hood exit/dump or can you fabricate full exhaust out the back wastgate dump to the ground?
We probably could if we really wanted to, but I'm at a point in life where I want to go all out and see fireballs out the hood lol.

Can you clock the turbo core a little to give yourself more fall for the oil drain
I can about 10 degrees... does help a little, but not 100%
Amazing unique build! First starts are the best, and also stressful lol
Run the driver side oil drain down to the oil pan, if u have IAG/ killer b pan you could use one of the ports next to the oil drain
Can't run to one of those ports as its too low on the pan, will have back pressure against the line. Would have to drill a hole at the top of the pan and weld a bung on there if anything.

As a fellow Sti owner, I love evos. Every time I pass one or see one I always dive them a thumbs up and they do the same. Nothing but love 🙏
No way 2 cylinders will spool one of those big ass turbos. Lag is going to be insane. Needs smaller turbos. Love the outside the box thinking tho🫡
Just wait😏🥳
