Konami: let's make an xyz event but let's also include decks that don't need to even use the extra deck. What can go wrong?!
It's ironic how strict a banlist they have to make to not see the same 3 decks every game.

even if you play kash or purrley it does feel miserable, I went against multiple kash while playing sharks.
i lost all of those games, then I switched to lab and started winning and earning gems. Hell, ive had more success playing fucking true draco against kash and company than shit like springans, sharks and time thief.
Nothing in this event feels good to play

Tbf I personally meet (and get annoyed by) kash more, and it's technically an xyz deck, purrely second, lab is probably third or less

I found a OTK budget deck to play. You either win on attack, brick, or get magic cylinder'd out of the game. Overall not a fun event, and I don't understand how they made a modified ban list for this iteration but didn't think about the consequences of said bans.
This event really did suck. Where is out N/R event.
In 2022. And its time to accept it aint coming back either.
The xyz cup is bad!? You mean that people don't like playing against my Kashtira deck?
I will say this, I opened Planet Pathfinder and Wraitsoth together a lot, and I'm not sure how to feel about it. I like having wraitsoth without needing to use my normal summon, but unless I have specifically Small World, then Planet pathfinder is useless.
Also, if anyone doesn't know the state of Kash in master duel, I think my statement above says everything. We're on 3 Planet pathfinder and 3 small world.
I love that his only shown with was Exosisters Spirit.
Anyways, this event was so annoying that everyone had to go through it with Kashtira, Exosister or some form of stun (counting lab choices of trap cards)
Went through it with purrely going 2nd variant. Was fun af
Why is exosisters on this list. They’re not even that bad to go against
@@lethaldope6446 they absolutely are menaces if left untouched, if done correctly you have 3 banishment effects, blocked them from summoning & activating effects from the GY, and if it was the spirit variant, build up to Draco Future and other crazy xyz monsters. Exosister is still a pain once set up.
All I saw the whole time was kashtira every game
I have fought against Kashtira and many variants of Horus, mostly.
It is not a festival, Jesse. It's a cup.
Well, Kash is an Xyz deck and Horus can be a rank 8 machine, but I assume you faced Horus Stun.

This event is just who ever draws evenly matched. Hopefully the bad will Konami has generated from this cup outweighs the numbers they get from all the frustration inducing grinding people had to do for their gems.
This even is getting progressively worse. It’s getting harder and harder to not have a game against a stupid burn deck. It’s like everyone has decided, “Oh, you’re playing toxic?! Let me join you too!” Still have 4 more levels to get the rest of the gems and it’s a slog.
One of the missions force you to activate 100 s/t.
No xyz strat will ever complete that before finishing everything else. So thats why everyone is playing burn or stun

I was trying to play a Fun deck...
Then moved to My Madolche deck... Cause it did contended Thr Stuoidity that is Kash...
But i cannot contend against Lab...
Built one to content against Lab in the Exosister... But the Kash matchup beats me.
I HATE IT
My solution?
Get rid of the interruptions...
Build a Board breaker Madolche.
Plays through The Kash engine.
And the Queen is the Goat.
Its a Deck am good at piloting so, thats subjective to me.
Imperm for the Fenrirs, i let them resolve their Stupid unicorns.
I had 3 of's my main cards in extra.
The madolche Promnade and The Teacher contended most Kashtira Arisehearts/Zeus plays so that i wouldnt die.
Or Also annoying the Lab matchup when they send their ikea stuff. The Right Chain links are Dangerous...
It why Being a goid madolche pilot knowing when to chain teachers effect.
Playing though ash was my main concern and that was a tjung that my Vernusylphs solved there.

Kashtira fenrir/Unicorn were already C**ncer... Now make them a format...
HATED IT.
Several instances of being in top deck mode... And my opponent draws thr Fenrir... Board breaks.
If you go first, Madolche never loses to Lab. If their Big Welcome doesn’t resolve, you win. You generate so much advantage that none of the other traps actually matter

They play the Lvl 6 lab Arias that lets them set their card and activate it that turn.
They usually Use dumb cards like Daruma Cannon even if im the one going First.
Thing is.
Im never lucky, and every time i go second, is usually when they pick 1st
Im going in in this event with my humble Constelar/Tellarknight deck.
Godbless wished I had that deck you can abuse Delteros by equipping it with Full Armor Xyz cards
I built Heraldry just for the event for fun, and quickly had to change because of Lab decks not xyz summoning.
The fact that I was happy to see Numer-Ra in the event while playing Purrely really says something.
The XYZ event was the least fun event I've played. They wanted people to try but both the "Best" XYZ decks are cancer against themselves and relatively nerfed...
I wanted to make an XYZ deck for the event but needed gems so I was like: I will play a couple matches with my burn deck from ranked to earn some.
Turns out burn just wrecked 90% of decks in the event and I had an insane winstreak LOL
Why they allowed maxx c to be legal also is annoying. Just played Galaxy OTK which can make decent boards going first as well
Horus cards being rank 8 turbo were pretty good for xyz cup
rare time I generally don't feel bad about running numeron otk
The fact you could play a deck like labyrinth is proof the festival was trash. I played zoo and barely saw any actual xyz decks my whole run.
Made a photon/galaxy deck thats been hilarious to play
I've been dominating with yubel. That lv 10 D/D/D is absolutely amazing. Following up with super dread and tarantula for high damage. Having all monsters on my side with over 6,000 atk points all the way as high as 9k atk is just awesome
Almost never brick with Shark.
Everybody in here complaining, I played madolche and lost no more than 10 times before getting DLv 20. Maybe I got lucky but I didn’t get matched with Kash too much until Dlv17, then I got annoyed and removed hand traps and added evenly, triple nib, and imperm for the ariseheart and I had no problem after that. Anytime Madolche isn’t hit hard at the events, it’s easy gems
I played something just as cancer. Virtual World with the Mayakashi/Rollback lock and 3 evenly matched

The worst thing about this event for me was facing stun and burn damage decks every other game

I went through this with purrely and it was still unfun even though i won the majority of games.
you get free wins if you just go for a blind-second board breaker approach. stun, kashtira, and lab are all weak to board breakers.
At a higher level, I noticed almost everyone went for blind-second, except lab and maybe purrely (which I barely saw).
While the event is miserable and far from XYZ, it's interesting to see that going second is more preferable in today's YGO
XYZ decks are just kind of bad at going second. And the Kashtira mirror favors going second HEAVILY. Not surprised the Adventure Engine I was running in my Kash build carried that hot mess.
Also Shifter kind of loses its value when most things besides Purrely being used can just play under it, and it sucks to use that with the Adventure Engine, so I didn't really miss out on not being able to run it in that build for once.
Actually facts every card in kash is limited but they never brick they always open unicorn theosis maxx c and there fooldgate of choice fissure or macro

One of the worst events, would be nice if they took some effort to build some format playlists instead of just cycling the same couple events
Wouldn’t you just play like Exosisters or Yuma shit or like sharks (I need a good deck for this event)
XYZ Cup*
Other than Labyrinth and a couple other decks (like Purrely), most decks in this event seem to be bricky. I got to DLv Max running Bystial Horus to get into rank 6/8 monsters with floodgates like Secret Village, Tyrant's Tirade, and Skill Drain. I was using 3 trade in too with almost entirely handtraps.
The Horus engine just tends to brick and a lot of board breakers like super poly are obviously banned for this event. This is the worst event Master Duel has had in a while IMO. There were a lot of Shifter decks like Exosister and Kashtira.
