But he could Have summon herald. Imp effect return dog in the deck . Fusion imp and sheep for Wolf. Frightfur fusion banish Tiger and another matérial for sabertooth and win because howl in hand for herald protecting against sword and Wolf double attack with 2400 and sabertooth attack with 2800 plus 600 from herald who will make a total of 8200 damage
Honestly, these days Doug's series are just my comfort watch. I grab a bowl of cereal and vibe
I am a soldier and before I go to sleep I watch this even if I need to wake up in 5 hours, it's just a great structure (which going to end sadly😢)

Foreshadowing is a narrative device in which a storyteller gives an advance hint of what is to come later in the story.
Not my Idea (I don't remember who said it first , but i wanted to say it here again), but something cool they could do for season 2(if they ever do) is make it so only the winners pack gets removed.
Like these last 8 are bad packs, but there have been some truly atrocious packs that they've gotten rid of a lot more sooner cause they got stuck with them.
It would also mean that good packs that maybe got slammed by either bad roles or facing a better pack have a chance to shine later(like the tenyi pack that lost because they didn't pull the link one)
I'm happy to confirm that this rule will be added for Season 2 :)

Another possible rule could be to allow either master packs or extra packs for three archetype packs. Of course, if this rule was added, one of them would pull insane for the first 20 packs and the last ten would be win more and sure you could be like “let the player decide if they need ten more packs” but like… who would say no?

@@youngdoodle Idk if it was correct for doug to start by linking into herald before going into his otk line though, especially because it's unknown information? Like what is he gonna play around that mbt could have activated in response to tiger pop? Wouldn't it have been kinda silly to assume that mbt's backrow has waking the dragon levels of power when 50% of the time a single backrow has actually been a bluff thay does nothing in this series? I also don't know if Doug even had a line that could end on 8000 points of damage if he spends the first two materials on herald.

Someone pointed it out in one of the previous episodes, but I just wanna say, I love how Joseph overhypes his shitty packs and pulls, while Doug equally downplays his amazing packs and pulls.
Joseph: Okay, all we need are a few copies of some of non-rare monsters and we're golden
Doug: Meh... I guess I'll take these 5 URs from the pack but I still don't think it's enough to make a competent deck...
Doug genuinely the only Yugituber who tends to downplay more than hype. The few times he does flex on his opponent(s) it's clear he's really overstretching himself.
I gotta say, if there's any episode to epitomize what MBT vs. Dzeeff's pulls are like on a regular basis, it's this one. MBT has to pull out the calculator and barely gets to the finish line while Doug fumbles lethal because he's unaware of the amount of damage he can output. No insult to Doug, but god damn that's something to watch happen. I literally thought this was gonna be a clean 2-0 with a bonus game 3.
Fluffal is the deck through which I discovered Doug, and built it right after. One of the reasons I got back into YGO.

Not finished with the video yet, but once I saw Doug got Fluffals (which is my fabled) I've have never rooted for him so hard in any of these series. I was screaming to get every frightfur fusion, and when he got all of them and two of the fusion card, and black sheep I thought there would be no way for him to lose regardless of what MBT pulled. Cruel Whale, Tiger, Sabertooth, Wolf is just too good. Especially with the fact that he pulled playsets of like all the important ones.

Edit: Finished the video. Doug bricking game 2, and game 3 not realizing he could mirage light the Swords Trap and go Wolf for a million attacks makes me sad, but honestly MBT had the perfect hand to get through it, so gg. Good try Doug, you still did my Fluffals justice

I remember Dzeef posting videos about Fluffals/Frightfurs as like, a rogue deck option, a few years ago. Those videos actually got me interested in Frightfurs! I still only play them pure, which I guess is technically not the best way to do it, but I just think they're so fun and cool on their own. I'm just a bit too devoted to the concept of the "archetype" to be like, actually good at Yugioh. Still, I ran my Frightfur deck in the Legend Anthology: Acceleration event recently and won a decent amount! Got all the gems from the rewards.
Then I spent those gems on Snake-Eyes because COOL 🤩

That was a great episode. Figured it'd be a clean 2-0 because of the length, especially after seeing Doug's pulls, but it was way more swingy than that. Good stuff.

I remember watching Doug’s deck profile a few years ago where he used the fluffals to turbo out that fairy that shuffles all cards into the deck and you basically are in a top deck war

A terrible but funny idea for Season 2 should be the 'Exodia Tax'.
Put simply, if you manage to pull all 5 Pieces of Exodia you HAVE to put it in your deck going forward. But ONLY if you get all 5, you don't have to put random pieces in as you get them, that'd just be mean.
A caveat to possibly making your deck total garbage is if you get 'The Great Olds' Pack, then you only count pieces from the 'outside of the pack' side.
Really it could work in Saga too, like no one's gonna go into 'The Great Olds' on purpose, right?

Getting two Aussa the Earth Channeler as the two URs reminds of the crimson dragons the game gives me when i pull for diabllestar.
Also MBT sounds pretty low during the duels and the post game deck review. I've been binging roulette and in the previous episodes the sound was okay.

My favourite archetype finally made an appearance. Amazing

The vers are playable with naturia. You can earth board lock with the fusion naturia or both/ one of the syncro plus Vera and back row turn 1 consistently. It’s more of most people don’t know how to build and play the deck
They *were* playable. They are not playable anymore with the limitation of sacred tree
Also the best variant of the deck did not even play barrier statue. It ended on beast + mole cricket to summon sunflower and camellia from the deck on the opponents turn, stink bug for if they tried to kill you. And then you had a set blessing for Trish or quand. It also played the ishizus as 4s to go into dweller since the only time this deck was remotely playable was tear format due to the lack of ash blossom in the format and the chance the bad tear players would mill your shufflers and molecricket. Vera was more for followup unless you opened extremely well
@@Xenonfuji it’s still playable even with the hits. The board is consistent still. Ther vers support naturia. I play in master 1 with them. This is against snake eyes which is essentially tear 0. And one of the guys I play with put me on the deck because he also plays in master 1 with it. Earth has a lot of tech options as well.

Doug shows are the highlight of my week, saga is the most interesting YGO show happening currently, and roulette wjth joseph just feels so right, perfect balance of jank and limited
Vern, was extremely good with adamancipator along with slight earth stun with block dragon used to be insane, if legal could contend with any deck on MD I miss block dragon 🤷🏾♂️
I love Frightfur Chimera! It is so very very bad though 💀Fun effect, I love the idea of a horrorterror made of stitched together stuffies, but it costing 3 Frightfurs to fusion summon with its surprisingly mid attack stat and battle-centered protection is just too much. It's just a waste of resources; I even tried variants of the deck with Frightfur substitutes like Edge Imp Frightfuloid and Patchwork Fluffal and it's still just too clunky to bother with.
I keep it in my deck though. Just in case.
(Mostly as a target for Dangerous Frightfur Nightmary's effect)
New fun idea for roulete could be like spinning Attributes and Types and play whay u get, like old Sem vs Farfa episodes.
I feel like Fluffal needs a link monster with a fusion effect like Phantom Quartz does for Gem-Knight.
I think one of Yugioh's best attributes is a thing I call the dam crack. Think of this way: Your opponent is a dam holding back a river of water, and you are the water. When your opponent misplays, it make a tiny crack in the dam and with the right skill and angle, you can end up breaking through the dam.

Vehicroids are pain, their support is so bad it won't even allow you to use Wind "roids" just to avoid having synergy with Speedroids. Did I mention one of their more recent support cards IS a Wind Roid? I feel bad for whoever gets stuck with that one.

I think for some really bad packs it would be decent if they got a UR craft instead of SR. I really like the ones that give you some cards for free but some packs in that middle ground could just get a UR to unlock it

Wasn't there supposed to be a final final slobernocker with you guys each taking half of the *literally unplayable* packs, (i.e. the number pack with one main deck monster) or something like that?
Yeah but then I realized the few packs we removed from the wheel are unplayable in boring ways, and that there isn't a good fix for them :/
@Dzeeff I suppose you could use them as "booster packs" on any of the final episodes, opening them alongside that week's pack.
I think two of them were the number and code talker packs, so that's just extra deck guys.
