    Amazing Muslim scholar...every reply was meticulously spoken spontaneously pure, there is, if, I could place the words meticulously and spontaneously together in the same sentence. May Allah give all blessings to Dr. Hamza Yusuf and his beloved ones!

    Wow! You can totally see how this interviewer was trying to 'bring' out shaykh to say something which would confirm his attacking questions. Masha'allah shaykh answered with such grace and intellect. Hafizahullah

    In my opinion broad minded people are the most positive people on earth.

      dont be tooo broad tho

    • @servantoftheexpander9688
      @servantoftheexpander9688 ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely, Broad mind people are the most positive people on earth because they can tolerate difference and because they see human beings - not as a cluster of ideas- but as a being with soul.They aren't blind nor spiritually nor mentally.
      If you present your opinions to them, they won't disrespect you nor will they shun you. They will, rather, consider you and your opinions, evaluate them and even-if the opinions make sense- believe you.

    lawyers use the same questioning tactics e.g. have you stopped beating your wife? although you may never have beaten your wife ....even by answering you fall in to the trap. but its good to see sheikh not falling for these simple minded techniques used by the media.

    The presenter, Mark Lawson, kept asking questioning which he thought would trip up or catch sheikh Hamza Yusuf, but the Sheikh was too smooth and too calm.

    If I may; I don't think the term's been abused in any way, I think what's happened is that it's exposed the general mindset of the population - just as content on the internet has. "Freedom of Expression" is just another medium through which we can learn and have yet to.

  • @mejaz8014
    @mejaz8014 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wow. His reply to question that can trip Muslim scholars like his opinion on Iraq war, women rights, homosexuality, understanding the Quran and it's teachings

    Actual BBC interview, asking questions based on things they think he said , but actually he never said . Always twisting words around to get what they want. Shame on you BBC . Dr. Hamza Yusuf should’ve sued them for changing his actual sentences

    I`d like to say To Hamza Yusuf that you misunderstand the meaning of fate (destiny )
    In Islam . Destiny is not disrupted ,In fact , you disrupt one pillar of the 6 faith pillars

    • @ubaidullahsaand1864
      @ubaidullahsaand1864 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well, And, i'd say you have misunderstood his point. He said 'killing is like disrupting between points : born and death.' He didn't said it literally disrupts destiny. We're not supposed to supposedly disrupt life, between born and death.
