Shaykh Hamza mentioning "ihsan'' in regards to his unreleased works shifted my perspective entirely.The worldly version of ‘perfectionism’ routed so deep within me I never even was able to tap into what this possibly could mean to me, as a Muslim. Made me realize how depending on where this concept of excellency stems from, a lot can change.
Saying “I want to do things beautifully because I’m a Muslim" is at a whole different level. As of late, a good portion of this world pushes the idea of mediocrity and encourages it. Starting to feel ‘okay’ with doing average, performing average and being average in anything, as long as you make ends meet and are surviving. That's what you are acknowledged now for.
Reminding us that of one of the 99 attributes of Allah is Al-Jameel. One should truly want to be able to do things as beautifully as possible for Al-Jameel.

Assalamu alaikum to my beloved Shayekh Hamza Yusuf and all. Last week I saw Shayekh Hamza Yusuf and Shayekh Abdul Hakim Murad. We were travelling and I offered Shayekh Hamza a meal at my house. But he refused as He was in a hurry to go for another lecture. i cried a lot in my dream as I missed to host Shayekh Hamza as a guest at my house. I dont know the meaning of the dream but I have faith in Allah SWT that one day I will meet Shayekh Hamza. May Allah grant my dua. Amin

@@mohammedumarfarhan9900 cant say for sure brother. We were in a car. I was in the back seat, and they were in the middle row. I asked Shaykh two times. The second time my eyes were filled with tears.
Listening to my first “teacher” from ISNA days who started me on a quest for knowledge discussing with my new virtual teachers is the best thing ever!
Can listen to Sh Hamza for hours until my cheeks hurt coz they are stretched similing too long ! He is a fountain of spiritual elixir!!!

I wish people learn from Sh. Hamza who’s a real scholar yet so humble calling himself just a Talib (student) to not to call just any Khateeb or speaker a Shaykh. Unfortunately we see a lot of that nowadays!

Shaykh Hamza knows the location of all the books is Library at the back, sometimes when he is refering to some book he just gets up and pulls it out :) Amazing memory.

I believe that Shaykh Hamza Yusuf is one of the finest, the most educated, and the best scholar anyone would want to have as a teacher when it comes to learning about Islam.
I listen to him with great pleasure for hours and hours, wherever I find it online.
Truly, if we didn't have Shaykh Hamza Yusuf, the whole world would be much poorer and less beautiful. I believe every word I wrote here.

Mashallah,this is an enlightening meeting with an encounter between two generations of devout Muslims; and in such a blessed period of our Islamic calendar :The last part of Ramadan ,when angels go down and give company to fasters .These lit-faced young people are what we need as religious leaders of our Ummah in the future ,and their show of respect ( even veneration ) for Shaykh Yusuf Hamza ( May Allah protect him and make his knowledge a blessing on his health ) is a good example of what students of religious knowledge need to be in the presence of scholars.This kind of encounters is a very good opportunity to draw the young generations to what can benefit them.Thank you Sirs for this video جزاكم الله كل خير
Thank you for your recognition, what I've written isn't a compliment but the truth.May Allah ( سبحانه وتعالى) give you strength and Himmah to carry on this most difficult duty of Da3wa to Allah ,and make your reward no less than the company of the prophets and the saints in Jannah ,which is the best company any faithful Muslim longs for.

When one is working 9 hours per day, and also taking care of family . We feel like sometimes at the end of day we have to do zikr. Even when we are doing 5 times prayer , unfortunately our full attention or mindfulness is hard to do.

narrated by Muslim in his Sahih, no. 131, from ‘Abd-Allah ibn Mas’ud, who narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “No one will enter Paradise who has an atom’s-weight of pride in his heart.” A man said, “What if a man likes his clothes to look good and his shoes to look good?” He said, “Allah is beautiful and loves beauty. Pride means denying the truth and looking down on people.”

Abu Darda reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
Verily, the angels lower their wings for the seeker of knowledge. The inhabitants of the heavens and earth, even the fish in the depths of the water, seek forgiveness for the scholar. The virtue of the scholar over the worshiper is like the superiority of the moon over the stars. The scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets. They do not leave behind gold or silver coins, but rather they leave behind knowledge. Whoever has taken hold of it has been given an abundant share.
