Another wonderful vid. That looks a nice route, and driving on the left when abroad is always a bonus.

Thanks Robert, it was - but I love a little road trip. Wonderful views, clean air, emptyish roads, what could be better?
Thanks for taking the time to comment,
      Cheers

    hello
    i loved your clip
    =
I m going to Cyprus (15-22 nov) with my wife .i love nature and mountains while my wife likes shopping and buzzing city life. the plan is to rent a car and have 1 night in Larnaca, 3 nights in kalopanayiotis, and 3 in Limassol.
    I have some questions..
1-in terms of the days spent in each area, do u recommend me to change anything in this on week plan
2-how is the area around Kalopanayiotis in November, am I going to be able to dine at the restaurants nearby or will some of them shut down during this period
3-is it important to have heating in the accommodation?
4- i want to buy a pre paid phone sim card so that i could make calls and use the internet. so is there a specific carrier that i should go with?
    many thanks

Thanks very much, unfortunately we are on the road in Spain at the moment so I have limited resources to check out the details for you. I think you can expect Cyprus to go into off season mode, but there will still be some life and you’ll get a more authentic experience. We were based in Paphos, and apart from the road trips we had little experience of the other cities in Cyprus.
Sorry we can be of more help, we hope you have a wonderful trip though
      Happy travels,
      Gary & Janis

Yiannis, that was the memory, the car may have had aircon, but you really wanted to keep the windows down to take in the scent, and then the occasional wood fire as you passed through the villages up high - wonderful experience.

Paphos forest is a state forest . So it isn’t a national park ? Is it protected from development? I hope so . Troodos national park is protected .

      Hi Louisa,
Thank you for the correction, and I would hope is protected, but hope counts for little. It's a wonderful space so let's pray that it's left as it should be.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Cyprus, and it was nice to get out and explore a little.
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment,
      All the best,

There is no such place as Southern Cyprus.

      Ian,
I agree, there's no country recognised by the UN as Southern Cyprus. However, I live in the South of England, or Southern England. It's a useful way to describe the trip in the Southern, Greek, part of the Island without need to refer to the UN Split of the Island - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations_Buffer_Zone_in_Cyprus
      Regards,
      Gary
