Lela, this is THE best car organization video I’ve ever watched - and I’ve watched many over the years! I almost didn’t take the time to watch it because I didn’t think you could possibly have come up with ideas I hadn’t heard of before. Things I will be acquiring asap: purse organizer, seat back organizers, umbrella windshield screen, and one or both of the trunk products.
Update: seat back organizer with the tissue compartment and two cup holders is great. I’ll be getting another and my teens can keep their chapstick, deodorant etc in the tissue compartment of that one. We use the extra cup holders all the time. Really great. For my vehicle I ended up ordering two larger rectangular felt purse organizers to put side by side in my console - I drive a medium sized SUV so my console is bigger. That has worked very well and I love having my things organized and accessible. It also limits how much I can have in the car which is good. Umbrella screen is great. My vehicle doesn’t have the wheel cutouts so I couldn’t order the Velcro side organizers, but will be ordering the collapsible crate with the insulated compartment. I also want the things that slide down next to the seats to keep things from falling down there.
This is really a good video and what I like. Is the advice that you give with it! It is our vehicles to take us from .8 to point B and back to point it is not our homes that we live in at all times so we don’t need to organize it like we bought our house! Very good information!!!
I vacuum my car daily. Just like I vacuum my home. Well, a robot vacuums my home, but I do vacuum my car daily. It may sound crazy. But it takes 10 mins, MAX, if done daily. We spent 20 mins on this video. A clean car is amazing feeling. Get a windshield wiper extension arm (makes it easy) and wash your car as often as you can. I have a membership and go anytime I’m on that route, or after a road trip, or if I’m not busy and have 20 mins to spare. Doing this has allowed me to keep my car “detailed” like I never thought possible. I also stopped eating in my car, no need. I can sit down somewhere.
This is how I'm going to be with mine except only cause I plan on taking my dogs with me on trail walks, but vacuum every other day is my plan 👌 buuuuut I'd also eat in it with my best friend cause she's special 😅 but that's it 😂
Just bought a new car and was searching for console organizer. So glad google sent this video to me. I am definitely trying the purse organizer. One of those "now why didn't I think of that" moments.😊
I enjoy your videos for the reason you get right into it. My rule is if a TH-camr is still rambling on 2 minutes into the video, then I move on. You want to hear about the topic and not all the other unnecessary topics. You are a professional!
The tiny squeegee is so cute! A cheap alternative option (one you may already have) is a silicone spatula. I keep one in the door pocket of my car and is small enough to do the mirrors but also makes quick work of all the side windows too. (:
I'm now convinced that Google has somehow implanted a microchip in my head because I was thinking of searching for car organization videos. Haven't searched for one in ages. Hmmm 🤔 😅 Well, it feels like I'm in the right place, so I must subscribe, I guess. 😅😅 I recently bought a pair of those side mirror squeegees in pink.
🚗🧹 Lela, your car organization video is a game-changer! I'm seriously impressed by your practical and space-saving ideas for keeping a tidy vehicle. It's refreshing to see solutions that are actually useful and not just "fluff." The purse organizer, seat back organizers, and umbrella windshield screen are definitely on my must-have list now. Your video stands out from the rest, and I'll be implementing these tips ASAP. Thanks for sharing your expertise in such a clear and engaging way! 🌟
We repurpose empty cube sized Kleenex boxes as garbage bins in our cars. When full, throw away the whole box. Now that I think about it you could buy a tissue box cover to make it look good too.
I use a large zip lock bag in the middle console of my van for garbage. It works great, is out of the way and i just zip it closed and throw it away when its full. My kids and i are in our van so much this time of year, so having an easy garbage system to keep our van clean is a must for us.
I did the same thing. Had some paint mixed, & I didn't double check the lid. Had a 1" lake of paint in the footwell of my car. UGH! I think I had the same nerve touched when I saw the trunk organizer in this video! 🤣
For a small trash container, I just use a starbucks frappacino cup I washed out.The dome-shaped lid makes it easy to stick little bits of trash into it and it fits in any cup holder in any vehicle. I find the grande size is the best. Venti is too tall for the cup holders in the door pockets and tall-sized fills up too quickly. I also line it with plastic produce bags so the cup lasts quite a long time, but I don't feel bad if I need to throw the whole thing away because I can easily replace it.
In my car, because we are in it *so much*, I actually just use a tall, y-weave basket with a trash bag inside. It holds so much for days when we eat in the car and have that trash and keeps it off the floor of the car. I know people probably have one laying around and fits great between captains chairs in the rear. And since it’s open too, all the kids can manage to get the trash into the can.
Great video-Thanks! I'm moving from FL to MN with my 7#dog, & whatever my new Subaru Forester will hold. I had to smile at the end. In the '60's, my family of 6 drove in a 4 door sedan from IL to northern MN to spend the summer at our lake cabin. My mom had a surprise box for each of her 4 girls (shirt box's not the most functional, but I loved mine!!). We couldn't open them until after we got back in the car from a certain rest stop (couple hours away from home). Nothing expensive, but we loved our surprises - no matter what they were. She'd put something in each one, specific to each one of us. I loved Nancy Drew books, so I'll never forget how sweet I felt she was to put a new Nancy Drew book in mine..💕 She peacefully passed away just before this last Christmas at 93! Such a sweet lady! Thanks for the memory!! 👍
@@365Yeshua I get it! It's certainly not everyone's cup of tea. At least I can honestly say I am very well aware what life is like here in MN. I am amazed at the number of residents here who are so happy with their MN life. I understand it's certainly not for everyone! Being single, it's very easy for me to just pack up (or not!) and leave whenever I want (& wherever I am). I've lived in such a variety of places, and now that I'm older.....I've got all of that out of my system. I've made the best informed choice for me based on my experiences, and hope you will have success with that too!! Where is it you'd like to move to? I hope you can make that happen! Life is too short to not be happy with where you live. I actually met someone here in MN who is leaving Monday, to move back to Alaska! She's sort of like me. She's experienced a lot of areas, but ready to settle down. She is homesick for AK!! I've never lived there, but I'm glad she knows first hand what daily life is like there year round!! Good luck to you!! 👍 😊
@@365Yeshua I love TN! My best friend lives there, east TN in fact. I just drove through there again in August on my way to MN. This last summer, they had some days that were hotter & more humid than I'd ever expect TN to get! Even hotter than what I had outside of Orlando! Go figure! 😎
This was SO SO helpful! I was really overwhelmed with where to start and this is a big help! The foamy seat gap things are brilliant. And if those cup holder coasters keep our many drinks from rattling, you will be my hero forever! Can’t wait to order and try several of these items. Thanks so much for all your time and effort.
Easily, the best car organization video I’ve watched. All the others I’ve watched have all the same items. Plus, this one really made me think about what I ACTUALLY need in my car, instead of a bunch of aesthetic, trendy items I never use. Thank you!
Those are so cool! I've never even heard of most of them. That retractable charging cord looks so useful! I've always wondered why they don't make charging cords like the old, curly, stretchy land line cords.
I actually had one that was curly that I got from Verizon years ago. It held up for a long time and I loved it! They may still sell them if that’s what you’re looking for.
This is the best car organisation video I’ve seen!!! I actually have the umbrella sun visor and I love it. I’m going on Amazon right now to buy most of what I’ve seen in this video. 😂
Reminds me of the George Carlin rant that Americans buy too much S%@% then we buy special containers to store the S%@%. Like she said at the beginning…use what you already have…an empty tissue box for a trash can, a cardboard tray free from the grocery that strawberry cartons are packed in to corral stuff in the trunk, a ‘freebie’ tote bag hooked over the headrest for storage for back seat occupants, etc etc. Botton line: use what you have, re-purpose and quit buying so much crap. 😊And use a pool noodle, cut with a bread knife to custom fit for the seat gap issue….from the Dollarstore, use 1 for 2 seats. Be creative and Frugal!
We recently bought the exact windshield cover that you have and we love it!! So easy to use, so we actually use it all the time. Suggestion: I noticed your strap is down on the dash, if you put it up top it can be strapped around the rearview mirror and holds the cover up. Thanks for the other tips!!
Purse organizer, backseat organizer, umbrella windshield cover, trunk organizer (better than my current one), velcro trunk organizers, headrest hooks... GAME CHANGERS!!! Heading over to Amazon immediately! Thank you!!! (New sub as of 5 mins ago. The algorithm blessed me today! 😂)
Listen, if you do DoorDash or Uber Eats, the hooks are really good at keeping food bags that have handles pretty stable. Especially if you have the insulated bag.
I LOVE the cup inserts! I have a lot of cup holders in my car. I got beach themed inserts for a pop of color and fun, that I purchased when we travel to FL. I grab them as gifts for others too. They’re great!
These are great tips! Thank you for this video. :-) For my center console I bought a set of small rectangular/square desk organizers. That way I can configure them anyway I want. It’s been very helpful.
Ooh,my first organised-ish video. Loved the tips and products and have added to my to buy list! Though I don't get the trash can suggestions since pretty much everyone travelling in a car is always going from somehwere with a bin, to somewhere else with a bin. Unless you are a farmer heading to a random paddock/field in the middle of nowhere. When you get out of the car, take your trash with you. Every time. It's organised then.
So glad you're here! And having a trash can in the car is really just personal preference. If you found a different system that works for you, go for it by all means.
When I got my first car I bought several similar items you show us here but some are different (and not as good) for example the hook I got was metal and the "teeth" were separated and it's uncomfortable to put a purse on it. I like your option better. I prefer my trash thing better because yours is too big for my tiny car but both are similar in appearance and work so well. I also have a retractable organizer although mine lives permanently in the back, I use half of it to put the air compressor for the tires, the cleaning set, and other car things, and the other half is retracted if I need the space or use it for something else. Now I want to get a mini console organizer and the seat gap fillers (but I find them too expensive!). Thank you for such a great video!
This is a great video! Your content is always so well done. I would love to see more Amazon videos. I can attest to several of the products youve shown but I’m excited to try some new ones. Organizing is my therapy too. 🤗
If you take your dog places in the car you gotta have a hammock or equivalent. Our dog was 2 when we got her and had obviously never been in a car before. It was so sad and funny and dangerous, she would just stand there perfectly straight on the bench seat and totally wipe out every time we went around a corner. That's why we got the first hammock. We've had like 10 now for 2 cars, she's 11. They help with a lot of things. I do Amazon delivery and the hammock keeps the stuff from falling over lol. The hammock protects the seats from water and other spills But if you leave the hammock in at all times there are things you have to look out for. Gross stuff can get under the hammock one way or another and get ground in to the upholstery. The hammock fabric can hold things in as well as it holds them out. If you get the wrong kind, the hammocks can have a rubbery backing that breaks down in the heat, or if it has cheap nonslip dots they can make dot stains on your upholstery. You won't know until like a year later. I forgot the last thing i was going to say lol Also your dog can get stuck trying to climb over it if you leave them in the car, and can hurt a leg if it gets stuck or slips off the middle armrest. Our dog wants to sit in the front seat so we get ones that have zippers to open up the middle area, but the zippers do tend to break We like the hammocks with clips on every headrest loop, some had to be loosened and tightened to take them off
good tips and products! problem is most of us r sofa king lazy to organize our POS stuff in the car or clean it untill it bcomes a total disaster! unless ur a neat freak , we all keep our cars dirtyAF!
i got a new lease that i plan to buy at the end so i put a lot into the features i wanted. i've been looking up so many videos on things to get and though the clear organizers are cute and definitely good for someone like my mom who will bring in a lot of random things and needs a place to keep them together, i agree it's hard to really conveniently get any of the things i want to reach for easily. i'm definitely going to try out the small purse organizer for my center console. it's small but has a lot of depth, so one to keep things neat or two to stack on top of each other might be worth it for me. thank you for the sound advice/ideas and concise video! :)
unrelated but your hair is super cute! the kind of pixie cut i wish i had but my stylist failed me so badly and i've let it grow completely out now, so i'm afraid to try again
So glad you found a few things to try! And thank you for the hair compliment in your other reply too! It took me a while to figure out how to make my pixie work but now I love it so much.
Very helpful video. I like your clearly delivered content and cheerful demeanor. Wanted to mention that I have a co-worker who is your doppelgänger. Truly! Just picture longer, curly hair and bam! 💥 That is your twin out in the universe. She speaks like you and has similar mannerisms. I was quite taken aback when I clicked on your video. 🩷
I just had an idea about switching out what i store in my glove compartment box with my small center console. It is not easy to look under my arm rest but it's way easier to reach over and look at my glove compartment
Lots of great ideas 👍 awwww I love your dog. Sweet face. I have 2 dogs and oh boy. The hair!! We have one of those back seat covers thingy too. It helps! Thank you 🙏
Love the video! Definitely gonna buy the trunk velcro thing...and the purse organizer for a small console-great idea! I've been using those clear bags from walmart but been looking for a better solution.
this is the very first time im coming across your channel and man you won me over. This is an incredibly detailed, honest and useful review and now i just have one question. What products can you recommend for small cars like mini coopers?
Welcome to the channel! A separate future video for smaller vehicles would be a great idea, so thanks for the suggestion. Glad this one was detailed enough without being too long.
You should avoid car washes especially ones with those long wiper sheet things. They scratch the hell out of your cars clearcoat and wax layers which opens the paint to moisture exposure which leads to rust. Washing by hand, two bucket method, is the best way to clean your cars exterior.
There is something I've learned not too long ago. I used to travel long distance a lot. Someone, I don't remember who he was gave me a valuable advice. Do not KEEP in your car things you don't use on a regular basis. The weight of the car is very important for gas purposes. The more weight, the faster the gast tank empties out. The lighter the weight the longer your gas tank will last and you don't have to fill up the tank as often as if you had your car full of unnecessary things that you don't use for the car. I used to go shopping and did not empty the car as soon as I got home. I used to be a school teacher and had the car loaded with teaching materials. If I needed those things, why I did not keep it in school or store it someplace where I could access it easily? Never again will I keep the car full of stuff I don't need right away.
I do wonder what things like the hooks or back seat organisers mean from a safety perspective. Ie in case of a sudden stop or crash, would someone in the backseat get more injured with these in the way
I bought round tissue boxes that fit in the drink hilder. They're awesome. Also what about the hickey box. You didn't even mention it. I keep lots of napkins and stuff there. Could use some ideas here.
There’s obviously more, but can’t forget, tiedown straps, rope, cordage, etc. And car supplies: oil, antifreeze, spare bulbs, fuses, and license plate screws. Tire pressure gauge, air compressor, repair plugs for the tires.
Yes, you can't use the mirror with it attached. But I never use it so it wasn't a big deal for me. If you use the mirror often you should probably skip the tissue holder.
Purse insert for the middle console! That’s a winner 🏆
It sure is. I purchased a tiny one based on this video. My center console is really small. The purse insert is very practical for me.
💯% agree. Had my compact last car for 16yrs. Now I have what seems a deep console, and I can already tell that stuff will just accumulate at the bottom. This will be perfect. Need to go take some measurements today!! 👍
The purse insert is brilliant. I have a tiny middle console also with the same issues. Love it.

Thank you so much, and we're glad you're here! All of those really are game changers, especially right now with lots of travel going on. Enjoy!
Finally, a practical and helpful video. Thanks for the great tips 😊👍🏾
The backseat cady or organizer would be a cool diy project for a crafty person who makes their own gifts.
Love that idea!
Listen, if you do DoorDash or Uber Eats, the hooks are really good at keeping food bags that have handles pretty stable. Especially if you have the insulated bag.
These are all genius!!! All of these would be so helpful in my car!
I LOVE the cup inserts!
I have a lot of cup holders in my car. I got beach themed inserts for a pop of color and fun, that I purchased when we travel to FL.
I grab them as gifts for others too. They’re great!
Oh that’s a great idea! Love a good pop of color for the car, especially for longer trips. It tricks my brain into thinking long rides are more fun. 😂
I am happy I just found your channel. Thank you! May Jesus continue to bless you and your family
Excellent organization, cleaning and storage ideas!! Excellent presentation! Sooo helpful! Ty for sharing❤
These are great tips! Thank you for this video. :-) For my center console I bought a set of small rectangular/square desk organizers. That way I can configure them anyway I want. It’s been very helpful.
You’re very welcome! And I love the idea of using desk organizers, so smart!
Thank you!
Great video I have a lot of these things and it helps soo much to keep my car tidy
Loved the recommendations!
So glad you like them!
I bought the hooks for the headrest at the dollar tree. Love them.
Best car organization video I’ve seen yet
Wow, thank you so much!!! 🥰
The purse insert is a brilliant idea!
Thank you! So glad you like it!
Wow Lela, this is one of my favorite videos yet! Thank you so much!!! 🎉
So glad you like it! Thanks Lori! 🖤🖤
I can’t thank you enough for this video and for your recommendations.
I send you my well wishing.
Thanks again
If you take your dog places in the car you gotta have a hammock or equivalent. Our dog was 2 when we got her and had obviously never been in a car before. It was so sad and funny and dangerous, she would just stand there perfectly straight on the bench seat and totally wipe out every time we went around a corner. That's why we got the first hammock. We've had like 10 now for 2 cars, she's 11. They help with a lot of things. I do Amazon delivery and the hammock keeps the stuff from falling over lol. The hammock protects the seats from water and other spills
But if you leave the hammock in at all times there are things you have to look out for. I forgot the last thing i was going to say lol
Also your dog can get stuck trying to climb over it if you leave them in the car, and can hurt a leg if it gets stuck or slips off the middle armrest. Our dog wants to sit in the front seat so we get ones that have zippers to open up the middle area, but the zippers do tend to break
We like the hammocks with clips on every headrest loop, some had to be loosened and tightened to take them off
good tips and products! problem is most of us r sofa king lazy to organize our POS stuff in the car or clean it untill it bcomes a total disaster! unless ur a neat freak , we all keep our cars dirtyAF!
This is so helpful thank you, ive been suffering for yearsss
So glad it's helpful for you! Let me know how it goes after you try a few of these ideas.
What a great and complete video.
i got a new lease that i plan to buy at the end so i put a lot into the features i wanted. i've been looking up so many videos on things to get and though the clear organizers are cute and definitely good for someone like my mom who will bring in a lot of random things and needs a place to keep them together, i agree it's hard to really conveniently get any of the things i want to reach for easily. i'm definitely going to try out the small purse organizer for my center console. it's small but has a lot of depth, so one to keep things neat or two to stack on top of each other might be worth it for me. thank you for the sound advice/ideas and concise video! :)
unrelated but your hair is super cute! the kind of pixie cut i wish i had but my stylist failed me so badly and i've let it grow completely out now, so i'm afraid to try again
Haha, how do you know we didn't switch for the video? 🤔
You can hang the windshield cover on the backseat hooks
Like the seat gap filler 🤔👍
I just had an idea about switching out what i store in my glove compartment box with my small center console. It is not easy to look under my arm rest but it's way easier to reach over and look at my glove compartment
Love that idea!
I use a head rest hooks. They are so worth it
Great info. especially towards the end! Thanks for sharing!🤗✨
Thank you! So happy you like it!
Great video!
Thanks Kelly! Glad you enjoyed it. 🖤
Fantastic ideas! Thanks so much. Great, practical, common sense ideas! ❤️❤️❤️
These are good recommendations! And I love the idea of surprise bags! So cute! 😊
Lots of great ideas 👍 awwww I love your dog. Sweet face. I have 2 dogs and oh boy. The hair!! We have one of those back seat covers thingy too. It helps! Thank you 🙏
Thank you so much! And yes, the dog hair is a job! 😂 glad you have a seat cover for your two pups. 🥰
Yea. I found ur channel. Great video. Yep I’ve purchased some of these!
Thank you! I’m so glad you found me and I’m happy to meet you! 🖤🖤
This is SO practical! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Man this video answered all my questions!
So glad to hear that!
thank you i just love you
Aww thanks!
your welcome princess @@lelaburris
Love the video! Definitely gonna buy the trunk velcro thing...and the purse organizer for a small console-great idea! I've been using those clear bags from walmart but been looking for a better solution.
Thank you! Hope they help. 🥰
this is the very first time im coming across your channel and man you won me over.
These were everything! Thank you.
Cute purse
Good information!
This was awesome!!!!! Thank you😊
Glad you liked it!! Thank you! 🖤
very realistic thanks very much
You should avoid car washes especially ones with those long wiper sheet things. They scratch the hell out of your cars clearcoat and wax layers which opens the paint to moisture exposure which leads to rust.
Washing by hand, two bucket method, is the best way to clean your cars exterior.
Awesome stuff. Thank you!
Sounds like good advice! Thanks for sharing.
I do wonder what things like the hooks or back seat organisers mean from a safety perspective. Ie in case of a sudden stop or crash, would someone in the backseat get more injured with these in the way
I need them all !!!
thank you it's very helpful
I bought round tissue boxes that fit in the drink hilder. They're awesome. Also what about the hickey box. You didn't even mention it. I keep lots of napkins and stuff there. Could use some ideas here.
Sorry should say jockey box....
This is an excellent video.
Thank you so much! 🥰
First aid bag, flares, fire starters, lighters, butane, propane torch, fire extinguisher, clothing, boots, emergency camping gear, hatchet/saw/cutting tools, tarps, emergency rations/water, Hi visibility vests, rain gear, Bug repellent, sunscreen, spare eyewear, disposable cutlery, spices/condiments, napkins, paper towels, seatbelt cutter, Glass breaker, writing/stationary supplies, Batteries, flashlights, cleaning products, complete tool kit, etc. A lot stuff not addressed here.
There’s obviously more, but can’t forget, tiedown straps, rope, cordage, etc.
And car supplies: oil, antifreeze, spare bulbs, fuses, and license plate screws. Tire pressure gauge, air compressor, repair plugs for the tires.
Of course that’s just the empty car. Then the tool/supplies for Home repair work go in the car.
Anyway, that’s why I watched the video but
Awesome
Awesome! Are you going to post links to some of the products?
Hi Pam! All the links are in the description of the video. You may need to press the “More” button to expand the description. 🙂
They’re all in the description.
The little vacuum looks terrific, but it is sold out on Amazon. Do you have any other suggestions that are of the same quality?
Thanks!
THANK YOU 👏🏻👍🏻🙋🏻♀️🇦🇺
Glad I could help, and hello to you in Australia!
@@lelaburris Hello and Thanks again. 🙋🏻♀️
do the tissue holders block the flip down mirrors?
Yes, you can't use the mirror with it attached. But I never use it so it wasn't a big deal for me. If you use the mirror often you should probably skip the tissue holder.
