As you stated I choose how to vote by God's word, Paul explained who should be chosen as a leader/elder of the church (body of Christ) as President is therefore a leader above all believers,
1 Timothy 3: 2-3
Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.
Since God's word is truth I will vote for a candidate that comes closer to God's word.
Paul believed character mattered to lead Christians and as a believer I accept his commands.

Which one is that? I’m wondering if I should even vote at all. My family is republicans and my husbands family is democrats. Seems easier for me to not get into it cause my husband isn’t voting. He doesn’t want to pick sides it seems

Absolutely, nobodies personality is perfect, but as long as they seek to preserve the morals and ethics of Christianity in society concerning key issues, they should receive our vote.
