    Beautiful mod on the vise grips. Wire edges can be a real beeotch to form by hand, but very doable with practice. I use a rounded edge chisel to finish once I roll the metal over the wire. Your modified tool is a better idea.

  • @22_floW

    Maybe this is a dumb question but considering the size of a door or anything bigger than your test piece in this video, I guess you'd just do the same stuff except on one of your big tables instead of an anvil? Or do they make big shop tools for doing your creases like that on the big sheets?

    • @OutlawEdge
      @OutlawEdge  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most likely I will use my large table but i have a couple big pieces of flat plate steel that is three inches thick from an old drillpress. But really if your thinking outside the box u will find a shape or something that will help with building those pieces 👍

  • @pmhoard
    @pmhoard 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm in the process of doing this to the door frames on my project. However, most of the surfaces are curved and it is becoming a bit frustrating because I can't seem to keep the curved surfaces from going straight. How is that accomplished? Could I convince you to do a video on that? Thank You....love your channel

    I wanted to ask you about something my son want fender skirts for his 50 deluxe I can make them no problem but the car has a fender lip that needs to be removed for the skirt to look right should i try to hammer and dolley it out and heat shrink till its smooth or just cut it out and make a smooth repair panel

    • @OutlawEdge
      @OutlawEdge  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey brother I will just make a 1” x 1” flange all the way around and put it in the swing for a stretcher to get the shape you want so you can go around the fender skirt. Then build a buck so that you can weld that into the wheel well. Hope that makes sense 👍

    • @jeremyhanna3852
      @jeremyhanna3852 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I understand that but on the car quater planel there is a lip that sticks out 3/8 to 1/2" it needs to flat for skirt to look right should i try to body work that lip flat and heat shrink it or just cut lip off and and build new flat edge for quarter panel
