I am pale but not Caucasian and my skin reacts the same as ppl of color; get pigmented easily, tan very easily, never been burn before, etc. I wonder what Fitzpatrick scale am I as an east Asian.

My wife used this on her thighs and belly during pregnancy to prevent stretch marks. She has no stretch marks whatsoever after 2 kids. I think this stuff works for prevention.

I had terrible eczema ALL over my body, literally all over, about 6 years ago. It left behind awful scars everywhere from my neck down to my feet.I used bio oil religiously for 3 months and the scars 100% faded… not a single scar left behind, I’m not even joking. I will always use bio oil & recommend it to ppl, it just takes a while to but if you keep up your scars WILL fade. But I’ve never used it on my face though

I got horrible stretch Mark's during pregnancy. Ver dark and deep ones.Now you couldn't tell I had none.Bio oil did a great job for my skin,I would recommend it to anyone.

My sister had twin pregnancy
And religiously she applied this since 5th month of her pregnancy twice a day
And she's got NOT a single stretch mark
Full term pregnancy and now her Kids are 6 years old
Genetics plays a big role. My mom gave birth to 9 kids. Not a single stretch mark. She didn't use anything. My sister gave birth to 5 kids and she's got a bunch.
Dr V I am so grateful to you. I am mixed race but was brought up by a white couple with no knowledge of my heritage until I was in my mid 40s. This channel is a revelation - every skincare issue I have is right here! Now I know I have been asking questions about my skin and getting answers for white girls, and, ridiculous as it sounds, it is only just dawning on me that I have skin of colour. Your channel is a huge part of learning who I am - I just wish for my skin's sake I had found you years ago. A few years ago I was suffering from dermatillomania due to medication, as well as "adult acne". The main area was my face, and bio oil saved my skin.

Seriously bio oil works. It got rid of all of my eczema scars and some older scars I had, you just have to be consistent with twice daily use for 2-3 months

For the day you can. I also use Hyaluronic acid and Ascorbyl glucoside solution 12% . I apply Hyaluronic acid first though

Even though there's truth to what she's saying there's so many people still with great results !! I think the only thing that wad the issue was the frangances and not a strong enough retinol that would be more effective the body if there was that it probably have even better results other then what she said there's still alot of good reviews about it

Bio oil is amazing! My daughter got a burn on her face when she was younger, it completely faded it out. I have had three children and it helped when it came to stretch marks. In total I have about 4!
Did it help fade even older stretch marks??

Also, if you do decide to write a guide, I'm all for one with pre and post care for hair removal with skin of color. It's been rough figuring out the best way to remove facial hair and how to take care of the skin afterwards, especially when you are a hairy person oof.

Hi Dr. V, there is a brand in India called Plum cosmetics. I have heard rage reviews about their acne specific products , specially their green tea toner. It contains glycolic acid which I have emailed them and asked about, but they said that it's in very low quantity so it won't burn your skin. Can you please please do a detailed review about the brand?

Bio Oil came out with a "Natural" line. Is it possible to do a Part 2 review on this? it claims that ingredients are 100% natural which can mean a lot or not much at all.

At the age of 18 I used lemon with aloe Vera every night for 6 month to remove suntan . I didn't know about lemon is bad back then. Now my skin is very much sunsensetive . Whenever I go outside my face buns faster than eggs 😭😭😭 I'm sure many of Asian did this and now suffering . please make a video how to threat this type of problem

A brown doctor recommended microneedling with prp to me. She also said TCA chemical peels can also be done in between to reduce the pigmentation .I have been debating whether to get it done as it’s pretty expensive .
a yeah I have seen that many people do it themselves. i did not want to take the risk of doing it myself .

I had my Hips replaced at 21 and I have been using Bio Oil on my scars and and stretch marks and it have been working very well... I have been using it for about a year now and it has been helping making my scars virtually invisible.

Would you please advice on hyperpigmentation caused by antiperspirant medications for hyperhydrosis such as driclor. Ah it’s a losing battle. If I don’t use it I sweat excessively (which is embarrassing and frustrating) but the product burns my armpits raw and leaves them highly pigmented which is also embarrassing 😞. Are there any products or tips you can recommend? Thanks

I used to cut myself when I was younger and it left really bad Scars but when I used bio oil I used to put the oil on my shin and I wrap my arm in plastic wrap before I went to bed and after a few treatments my scars went away.
I really like the product
My skin was very dry and itchy. Bio-oil has worked for me like crazy only in 2 days of use. This is from my side a brilliant product. Thank for your info but I love what this does for me and helped with my stretch marks on my stomach and ofter my operation. I used this also on the scars and it has helped a lot with the scares, bit only use it when scares has healed for a few months first. I'm a guy and I love bio-oil.
