One thing I noticed that's been eliminated is the "RANGER" embossing on the seats of the Lariat. A shame because that gave the seats a more premium look.

I think it only delays the shifting to allow the user to shift if he wants to but if you wait too long, the truck will shift anyways. I have accidentally put it in "S" mode and didn't even notice.
He didn't say these options were not available at all on the 2019 they were available on certain packages so apparently your truck had the packages or model trim.

You can buy an aftermarket tuner which will allow you to turn auto stop start off and will also give you some options at the gas pump. Ecoboost engines love 93 octane or if you've got e85 in your area, you can have a flash tune for that and make an extra 75+ HP no problem I recommend SCT tuner as they work on pretty much any ford vehicle. Also if you think your non-flex fuel vehicle can't run e-85 you're wrong. It is still wise to run a tank of non-ethanol fuel every oil change though.
Chris Wright ... I had 5 small trucks, the last three have been rangers. They were a 06, 09, and now the 19 models. These new ones are so far better than anything I ever drove in every aspect. Try one out and you’ll see a huge difference.
Great additions to make the schmucks like me that bought a 2019 truly regret buying, however, if rumors are true that there will be a complete redesign for 2021, I will trade up then IF you give it more legroom.
I don't trust a four cylinder in s truck. Why the hell don't you put the 4.6L v6 in them. The old 4.0v6 were good. The 3.0 v6 are fair. But a four cylinder is to much work on a transmission. When you have a decent payload
What's funny is if you look at it Hp to weight you get better gas mileage better for the planet. Look at motorcycles a 700cc is equal to 74hp. At 450 lbs with rider gets 55mpg. But Auto manufacturing and government. Keeps pushing smaller engines Now a 4.6l v6 with a 6speed transmission should push a Ranger to about 50 mpg. With 2 passengers and empty bed of course you the more less milage but at full should only bring you down to 30mpg and not as much stress on drive tran they just want you to pay at the pump and repair or replace all the time build to last is how we will save the planet

Lariat should be pronounced LARY-it not Lary-ETTE. Put the accent on the first syllable. Not sure why this bothered me so much but the cringe factor was pretty intense.
Bed extender not available with drop in liner. That's a fail/Zonk. And as expensive as these are in XLT/Lariat trim why does the customer have to pay a thousand dollars for a spray bed liner? Why is that still an option? Even at 47K loaded lariat it comes with a bare as naked metal bed. This is a nice truck but still too expensive. I've heard a few getting them with a 7K dollar discount. I guess that would be ok. But the suspensions need work on these. They have too much wobble on them while driving. And the tiny 2.3 turbo does offer decent power but has too much lag off the line. MPG's are mixed. But from what I can tell, its not much better then the competitions V6's which IMO, is better for truck duty. The new Nissan Frontier will offer more power with their new 3.8 direct injected V6 using a German Daimler Benz 9 speed. Normally aspirated of course. Just not a fan of using small displacement using induction to haul heavy vehicles. I can see if it provided meaningful gains in MPG's. But in this case, folks driving the full size F-150 with the 2.7 are getting the same or better. I think Nissan will have the best power train in this segment. Can't wait for the new model next year. Still this Ranger is a great truck. I looked at them when they first came out but the dealer wanted 5K over MSRP. I laughed and walked away. Ended up with loaded Nissan Pro 4X which ended up costing 12K less. And I got leather/power heated seats, spray bed liner with utility track and bed extender only cost me a few hundred more, bilstein offroad shocks, 31 inch all terrain wheels/rims, rear dana 44 locker, sunroof (not even offered on ford), 9 speaker 380 watt rockford fosgate with sub (sounds even better then my loaded BMW with harman Kardon) also has BT with built in GPS Sat. Yeah the head unit may be a little dated but the sound is amazing so I don't care. It has a better/more stable ride and non of that horrible wobble that the Ranger has. Thanks to the bilstein tuned offroad suspension. Next year I'm going to trade it in on the all new frontier with the newer DI 3.8 motor and 9 speed. I did own a ranger overseas a few years back with the 3.2 diesel. Loved that truck. Just not a fan of what they did to it in the states. Again, if in the market for a Ranger do your homework. Sales have indeed picked up but Ford's pricing is unrealistic by a far margin. Many dealers are having to give heavy discounts to move them. So look for a good deal. With the money saved you can mod the suspension to make it more stable and put a raptor like grill on the front end being the stock looks hideous. Definitely put a larger AT tire on it as well. These can look pretty good with a few mods but from the factory are pretty lame. If you don't believe me, check out this video. This guy did good. Got it for 7K off and did those exact mods. Looks like a totally different truck.. The funny thing is he got 7K off from the same dealer I went to that wanted 5K over list. But the timing sucked. I think the Ranger is the best looking truck in it's class and with a few mods looks amazing. When it gets a 2.7, moonroof, ventilated seats and power tilt wheel, I'll be looking. As far as a bedliner, I'd put a Bed Rug like I did in the Raptor I had.
People act like this truck is new in reality it has been in its current form in other parts of the world for around 10 years or more. Bring a regular cab and a naturally aspirated V6 to the market and I may consider one.
I hope that the upcoming Courier isn’t built in Mexico because anything built there has more quality control problems. I might buy a Courier after they have been in production for a few years. I deliver pizza and I can’t justify $500 a month payments on a base Ranger.

This is typical of Ford, introduce a new model with "all the best stuff", then start de-contenting after the first year. In fairness, Ford usually adds and takes away, like adding that FX2 package, but making you add the STX package at the same time so it looks like the FX package isn't that expensive.
A model called Raptor is available in all other markets this truck is sold in. Though it should be noted that the GAS engine in those other markets is a 2 liter turbo with an optional turbo-diesel.
not to mention cost of these things, how about an affordable vechicle, a single cab short wheel base.. affordable, these things can sit on the lot and seize for all i care ill drive used stuff thats affordable!!

Any time you ask 4 cylinders to do the job of 6 you are asking for trouble. I had 300,000 miles on my 2000 and currently have 186000 on my 2009. Never had a problem with either and I WORKED both of them HARD.
lol Honda ridge line is the way to go? Dude the ranger is faster, can pull more, is better off road and looks better. It's also faster, has more room in the the cab and call pull more than the Taco. Taco gets blown outta the water by a 4 cylinder motor........

I put a bed extender in my 19 with the drop in bedliner, you just have to drill two holes in the liner.

No. Ranger is based off the Australian Ford design. It has one chassis or wheelbase. Meaning crew always has a smaller bed.
