Twitter made more sense, "twitter" and posting a "tweet" it just worked well for the website purpose, to rebrand it makes the website feel clunky and wrong, and also the fact that some aspects of the site isn't even changed to remove the "twitter bird" element makes this feel like a joke.

He probably too inspiration from Facebook's change to Meta, but the difference there is that Meta became the umbrella company encapsulating all Zucc's companies. Facebook kept its name and brand recognition. X Corp replaced Twitter's.
This is the key point. Facebook retained it's brand identity whereas Elon has killed the brand identity of Twitter. What an illogical decision of a very high magnitude.

It’s already bad enough since Elon Musk took over and while it’s still not enough to leave Twitter for me personally, I understand why many people are understandably angry because the Twitter Bird logo has iconic since 2006 which Twitter first appeared and the logo itself along with the coloring of Blue resonated many people, allowing to voice their opinions peacefully/freely.
I get that Elon doesn’t like the bird and understand that its his vision but rebranding the logo is like taking the identification of what Twitter is supposed to be and yet many users are still going to call it Twitter instead of X considering how memorable it is to many users and again, it’s not enough make me leave Twitter, but like many other people mentioned, the naming of is outright atrocious and a terrible business decision from Elon’s perspective. 👎🥱🥶
