Thanks for this. I appreciate what this level was going for, but it gives so little direction that I just felt like an insane person wandering around aimlessly (and the message at the start made me think I needed to make a map, which, I quickly found was not helpful).
Literally spent 15 minutes trying to go through the gates in order (since I can read kanji so I knew what all the numbers were). They really should have made it more clear that the numbers are for only the berry puzzle, not for navigation
I spent over 30 minutes and acutally did go through them all in order and I went back to the start by the crystal heart thinking something would appear smh
EXACTLY I'm faintly familiar with those so i knew it was numbers and i tried getting them all in the correct order and was VERY confused on how you got from 3 to 4
I loved the design, personally! I just wish there were more clues for the puzzles. Having to figure out what the objective was made it pretty frustrating.
@@azeTrom17 nah dude no joke i love hollow knight and also there is a celeste mod i like "the secret of celeste mountain" i believe its called this is literally "randomly going back the way I just came from" in those 2 you need to remember an interesting path you couldnt access previously and then go back once you got the neccesary ability i mean to be fare the map does have a cool vibe which is why i dont particularly dislike it: there is more to a map than just gameplay and i recognize that but the concept was horrible tbh and also sorta felt like a glyph downgrade (in terms of gameplay gimmick - the maps arent really comparable otherwise)
Alright, so the green key is BS and I had to look up this video to solve it. The gate to the right in the room on the right I had saved as "orange to the left, green to the right", and I thought that I had to be at orange on the right to be at green on the left, but being purple on the right allows you to be at green on the left inexplicably (despite being at purple on the left allowing you to be at green on the right, and thus orange on the left.)
This level was, by far, the worst level I have ever played. Worse than any cycle based map or stupidly hard map. I'd rather play Farewell blind again that do that crap knowing where to go. The scarce Checkpoints don't help either giving you "Getting Over It" vibes.
Thank you for making this so I didn’t have to play this dumpster fire alone. The idea was great in concept, but was awfully executed. Absolutely no real direction, and no explanation of how the season mechanic works.
I beat it, had no clue of what the fuck was going on at any point in the hour it took to clear it, thought that maybe a clear video would help, it absolutely didnt
well. I think I'm one of the few that actually enjoyed this map and solved it on my own, haha. hand-drawing a map and labeling the colors of the gates really helped! I struggled a lot with the green key though. I wish there was more logic as to what color the gates put you on. ...and I'm pretty sure I actually unlocked the way to the berry, but thought it was going to be a path back down and skipped over it :(
Yo, someone else that liked the map! Yeah I figured it out on my own too, maybe I just got lucky or something? This map was such a great experience for me, I’m surprised it was quite the opposite for a lot of other people.
I was sort of neutral on the experience, with the hint of the purple key being only visible in purple, I assumed I needed to the orange and green to get two other keys, and I assumed as well that since the purple key was at a dead end, that maybe the other keys are at a dead end, which got me the green key, and I accidently fumbled into the orange key just messing around, not really to many hints/patterns to make you understand how to do it so it could use some fixing there. I used the dash crystal in the spinners to deduce that I needed to be a certain color to get through it so that part was easy, the actual strawberry was very confusing, and the note didn't really help either, which is what led me here. Seeing my work that was my completed map was pretty gratifying though :) P.S. I just ended up writing down what color in which direction of a gate changes to another color, which helped me a lot in understanding the route to getting the right color for the keys.
You’re correct, as is everyone who says they’re Japanese. The characters are kanji, which are used in both languages. They have the same meanings between languages so it really doesn’t matter. The game mentions Japanese, so people just go with that
I’ll add on here, there’s a (somewhat useless imo) hint at the bottom the 2nd key room (yellow season) which says “ichi” so the creator was thinking of them as Japanese, but Deuce is correct
I actually like this map on my first plat through, and it the god damn characters weren't in arabic numerals and matched the signs at the season changes i would have also enjoyed the strawb, jesus how am i supposed to know that the symbols were that, i almost never look for help in puzzles, cause I'm stubborn, but at some point it's just too much You can't make a puzzle who's solution requires special knowledge
After seeing the code i am still not able to solve it, that's kinda frustrating. Are you doing something with the 9? Is there any trick to how you put in the code?
I have tested it again by following every step i take. The video said 1488326547 which didn't work. After trying for myself, i found 1588376452 which worked. I am not quite sure if the devs changed it so you couldn't look it up or it's just a little different for everyone, but if no code you see works, try to figure it out for yourself, you will eventually get it
@@lastknight6347 Yeah, the code got changed. I mention it in the description. I was just too lazy to record a new video. The first 4 numbers in the original code is not a good combination, so it was changed
Unfortunately for this one it has a nice idea but notably poor execution to the point where its ambience can't really carry it I don't usually like ranking maps in lobbies because I believe everyone is entitled to their own taste and maps are just built differently, but this one just feels like it's not in the right lobby and is bottom 3 in advanced. The platforming isn't really expert-level (it's honestly like around easy/mid beginner) and although it does require the knowledge of neutrals which are in this gym, it could have easily been replaced by a few more dash crystals and well placed walls Just a bigger fan of oppen_heimer's other contributions, but I do think the idea of the seasons could make for a really good faster-paced platforming level, with swapping but similar layouts in the same room.
THANK YOU. i got one key by myself, but i used this for the rest. Took me like an hour and a half before i searched up the guide, this was also probably the hardest i've ever raged in a game
This is by far the worst map in the entire collab. I can't even begin to imagine how the fuck this made it into the full thing to begin with. The map looks plain and uninteresting, the gameplay is absolutely abhorrent without a guide and it's not even enjoyable to play, and it's one of the only maps in the whole mod that doesn't have original music. Who let this one in? It's clearly so far behind all the others in quality, I can't come up with any excuse as to how this made it into the collab in the first place

I applaud everyone who was able to figure this out on their own...
i walked in a loop for 30 minutes and then solved everything in less than 15
i got everything but the strawberry and the key in the middle. Did not think to do a hyper bhop, was really fun to find out it was that simple
I didn't know Japanese, how am I supposed to figure that out?
At least I solved the rest on my own

at 4:33 you can pass through the left gate and back. Then the path to the finish is quicker because you will already be in purple.
