    love how the gyms all have the dream madiline from Farewell, then make you use all the tech in one last challenge

      Absolutely! The gyms in Spring Collab were helpful, but the SJ ones are are so much better. You can really see how much effort was put into them

    Doing Grounded Ultras into the Jellies is so hard for me because I’ll get the grounded Ultra but then not jump up into the air and thus have the speed but not the height to cross the gap. I can get it but it’s super inconsistent and idk what I’m doing wrong
    Also that first Superwave is like near impossible for me to hit. I get it eventually but it takes like 50 attempts to get it once. I can hit the other 2 in that part of the gym no problem so idk what it is with that first one
    Edit: Great video btw :)

      @globglogabgalabyeast6611  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      For grounded ultras into throwables, I’d recommend jumping significantly later than you think is necessary. It takes some time to grab a throwable, and your jump can get eaten if you do it during that time. You also often have abundant coyote time to jump, so jumping too late is rarely an issue
      Yeah, superwaves are quite weird. For the first one, you want to jump as soon as possible on the super so that you more time before the crumble block disappears. Definitely takes some practice and is not too important to master anyway
      And thanks! :)

    • @rjohn1277
      @rjohn1277 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ah ok, I had noticed I seem to get the grounded ultra into throwables when I jump a bit later but wasn’t sure if it was just luck or it’s just timed that way, thanks for that!
      Also yea that first superwave primarily is so hard for me because of how fast it has to be executed and how many inputs I have to hit in that short period of time

    what's a wallboost? from the outside it seems like you're just climbing/jumping off walls

    • @globglogabgalabyeast6611
      @globglogabgalabyeast6611  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Wallboosts are pretty odd. They're a leniency mechanic designed to address someone accidentally doing a climb jump instead of a wall jump (away from a wall). If you climb jump upwards and then quickly press the direction away from the wall, your climb jump is converted into a wall jump. This also refunds the stamina use of your climb jump
      As you can see in the video, there are a number of different uses for this. Most of the tutorials in the wallboost section give you less the normal amount of stamina, making wallboosts required. In the first section, you don't expend any stamina doing the wallboost from the lower wall to the upper wall. The second section teaches "overclocking". If you do a wallboost from the ground, you actually gain more than the maximum amount of stamina because the climb jump doesn't expend any stamina, plus you gain stamina from the wallboost. The third section shows that you can infinitely climb a flat wall with wallboosts (and no neutrals) without expending any stamina. The fourth section demonstrates that a wallboost cancels the momentum boost from a moving block, and the fifth section brings all those concepts together

    how to do core hyper( help pls

    • @globglogabgalabyeast6611
      @globglogabgalabyeast6611  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Missed this comment. Idk if you still need any advice, but core hypers pretty much have the same leniency as dream hypers. Their timing is just less intuitive. You should input the hyper much later than feels right, as the block is actually breaking. Slowing the game down when you're learning the appropriate time to hyper can help a lot

    I can't do a corner jump like at 8:52 consistently. I play on a ps5 controller and additionally use the keyboard to press the space bar, in which case I get a long jump. It's not fair, but I don't understand how it's possible to press jump so quickly only on controller. maybe I'm doing something wrong altogether...

    • @globglogabgalabyeast6611
      @globglogabgalabyeast6611  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Talking about the neutral into corner jump? Could you clarify what you mean by long jump too? That trick can definitely be a bit difficult to line up. Helps to buffer the corner jump input. If you give more description about what is going wrong, may be able to help, but tough to say without a clip. Also don’t have much experience with a controller

    i cant do the theovators

    • @globglogabgalabyeast6611
      @globglogabgalabyeast6611  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would highly recommend practicing Theovators at slower game speeds as it helps you separate each movement.
      1. Press down
      2. Release grab
      3. Dash up
      4. Grab
      Luckily, most mods don't require you to perform very optimal Theovators. If you can describe what's going wrong with your Theovators, I've happy to give more specific advice. Will differ depending on exactly which step is going wrong or if you're simply trying to get more height out of Theovators

      Yeah moonboosts are funky. I didn’t really understand them until Strawberry Jam. The basics of it are that if you dash into the top few pixels of a moon block (like the ones in Farewell), you both nudge it forward and get corner-corrected over it. Since the block is moving, you then get a boost from it when you jump (and another boost if you quickly ultra)
