Great to see no nonsense honest, hardworking, skilful tradies like Scotty are still out there. Any apprentice u take on will be very lucky to learn under you mate. Hope u live long and prosper in your industry.
Aloha! From Big Island, Hawaii. Nice work guys. I get to work on high end homes here. Above 3 million American dollars here. Your work is superb! Mahalo Nui Loa for sharing. Shootz Brah.
Hey question to both channels.... I’m subscribed to both channels, what are the chances of all three off you guys working together and making a TH-cam video?? I know you guys are different sides of the world but!! “Give the FANS what they wanna see” 🤜🏼🤛🏼😉😉😉😉😉
wow finished carpentry, good too see you guys are supporting each other TH-cam wise, being in the building industry myself, I think you guys are breaking new grounds.
Great install. Seems the pillar between the original window/doors was not a structural pillar? I imagine that would have being a lot more intensive if you needed to reinforce the top horizontal beam above the door. 😅
nice work Scott. Yes it is a pain being on the tools and other commitments at the sametime .you seem very relaxed about it all though whats your secret to handling the stress?
I am getting one of these doors installed in my home (LaCantina brand). It will be for a finished basement and he is pouring a new concrete slab (the entire bottom floor is being rebuilt). My foreman is asking me whether I whether I want something like 1” or 0.5” of vertical space on the slab pour so the door is not level (i.e. there is a vertical ledge you climb up to the door), in case I ever want to add hardwood floor or carpet on the slab. Right now we are leaving it as finished concrete, which we think will be a look we like but could change our minds. Do you recommend we make the slab vertically flush with the door? I was trying to see your installation video, and it looks like that’s exactly what you did. There appears to be a ledge built into the door, presumably for water intrusion and to hold the glass. But I think you made the actual bottom exterior dimension of the door flush with the carpet. Thanks!
I can fully understand why you asked for the glass to be left out - that looked great fun moving from delivery point to insulation point and boy with the glass in it you would have needed a team of professional to move it safely
I saw the video. We can do the door and we are a manufacturer of windows doors from China. Pls contact me if you need this door .my email:pnocpb@pnocco.com Our website:pnocco.com
Great job Scott! Do have details of the manufacturer of that door and hinge. I’m looking for a bifold with the same functionality which can stack and fold parallel to the wall. However I can’t find anyone in Sydney who can supply
Hi Scott. Love the videos. Please keep them going. I'm in the UK and trying to find bi fold doors that fold back once fully opened. I keep getting told it's not possible!!! Aghh!! Do you know the make? Thank you
I would love to know the width of that opening. I have a 1950 mid century modern with 8'x23' sliders in 4 sections I would love to replace not only for looks and function, but also energy efficiency as mine is original.
Hey man great videos, just found your channel so I’ve been watching a lot of your videos now. I was wondering where you got this bifold window? I’m looking for a window exactly like this as the other types doors come with a much bigger track. I’m in California and looking to do a 27 foot long bifold window very soon. I’ve budgeted, just looking for materials now.
Hi Guys, we are in Australia and we are looking for a bifold system like this that folds back on the outside exactly like this system. What’s the brand of this system and is it available in Australia?
Hi Scott - those noggins / blocks that you put in to support the new cut edge of the particle board flooring - did someone have to crawl under the house to push those up into place from below?
Your quality is top-notch borderline OCD. Here in the US I'll workers are a bunch of bums and we poor cheap job unlike you guys. Keep up the great work and education for how proper jobs should be performed.

Love watching work done right! That is such a cool way to open up a house. Expensive, but man that would be money well spent.

anyone one else waiting until he hits 100k I'm surprised he has not hit it yet. Great video Scot always learning something from your videos.
It would have been nice to get a detailed explanation of how the doors got installed. All we saw was the sill installation.

Hi Scott. Love the videos. Please keep them going. I'm in the UK and trying to find bi fold doors that fold back once fully opened. I keep getting told it's not possible!!! Aghh!! Do you know the make? Thank you
Great info,great job..
Why is it externally beaded, is that not a security issue? look great tho!
Awesome video!! good work

Where did you purchase the door from and how much was it ?
@1:46 Did he just say "Shot"? LMAO I thought that was something only a South African would say hahaha... Mind blown! xD

You always putting vids up at like 2am... too keen bro... too keen. But great work. Keep it up

Cool video bro!! I like how much detail you give in your vids, keep up the good work!
What are the brand/names of the doors you had before ?
Sweet videos man. Keep them coming
Hi mate
Where did you fix the door to ( sides header). Cause there is alot of weight on the header.
Hey man great videos, just found your channel so I’ve been watching a lot of your videos now. I was wondering where you got this bifold window? Same!
Love your work guys!! So awesome 😎
Sooooo, how does one keep all the insects from coming in with that type of window/door?
Nice Job!
Gr8 work! Would like to see how this install would be different if it was stucco house
Hi Guys, we are in Australia and we are looking for a bifold system like this that folds back on the outside exactly like this system. What’s the brand of this system and is it available in Australia?
Beaut work guys 👌
awesome video, what city is this in ?
Where can I get tracks and hinges
which hardware did you use for these doors? those looks great that they can extend to the sides like that
It looks a lot like the old one, but can it hang a door? ;)
hi Scott, great video!!! where did you get those bifolds from????
wow nice door .
Any idea what the width and height maybe on this door?
The glaziers didnt diagonal block the glass so the weight will make the doors sag in a few years
beautiful
Can one flip the doors from left to right
Nice bro
Love the videos. Had a question though. Does taking that central support out weaken that part of the roof?
Great stuff, appreciate the video. Curious what the length of the opening was on this project?
Hi Scott - those noggins / blocks that you put in to support the new cut edge of the particle board flooring - did someone have to crawl under the house to push those up into place from below?
Hey it's me, Joshua Bosher....
🤔...
Terrific
Where did you get your sill tray from and what are the dimensions/material?
Shouldn't the angle silver flashing tape on the bottom corner go under the sill piece first???
I agree with you.
That builds next door to my grandads house haha chur
I m design student and i have a question . Can we install it at a place which is open from two sides ? It means that it has a corner also.
Where did you get the window from?
Looks like a AWS, Vantage 548 bottom hung. Am I correct?
Missing the sightline as well
came up on my newsfeed. nice surprise on the kiwi accents lol
love it man, both of you lookin sweeeeeeeeet
Very nice job. Was any sealant used under the dill pan?
good job
Love watching your videos was that a 290mm li Intel??
Hi there anybody knows the door brands ? thanks
Your quality is top-notch borderline OCD. Here in the US I'll workers are a bunch of bums and we poor cheap job unlike you guys. Keep up the great work and education for how proper jobs should be performed.
Hey boss I just want to know where can I buy the router plane?thanks and also I like you vlog
Can you plz tell me the cost of those bifolds?
I WOULD LOVE TO BUILD ONE OF THESE
How much is the cost for this?
Hi just wondering what the orange plastic corner things are you used for the corner flashing?
They protect the tape and the corner of the framing. The hard plastic acts as a support for the sill tape, prevents it from splitting in the corners 👍
@@ScottBrownCarpentry thanks Scott and are they an Aluband product? Love your work!!
What is the door cost without glazing?
I run a lumber yard in Washington State and want to shoot you a box of pencils. Let me know how to get them down to you.
Cheers
That’s awesome. Sharing the carpentry love across the world. Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺
Nice, Message me on Instagram bro @scottbrowncarpentry
Great videos- the doors look awesome!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
