It does not really make sense if you are not working at home. The ratio of cost and use is not good. You have to shut the window each time you leave the room for a longer moment to avoid damages by rain or wind. Cost is approx € 5K installed.

Sideways sliding doors are one of the most impractical doors ever. That whole side wall is out of usage and you can't even hang a picture on the wall, even if you did you can't look at it when the door is open :)

3:44 ~ This glass should be used for windows. Let light in as necessary and then block it out for privacy. One could even hook it up with monitoring devices to track temperature and self regulate house/building temps, whether one is at home or not.
5:17 ~ The sliding retractable doors should go long tall narrow planks like the first shown then they can be "rolled" up into a cylinder. The cylinder space to hold it could then become a design featured pillar. One for both sides, or in larger applications multiple pillars as needed.

the first garage door one is about 30 years too late to the show
2:05 a sliding door, well that one is about 4,000 years too late, the Chinese and Japanese have been doing this for millennia
ESG Glass, im more interested in the thermic glass in the background. A glass that would emit heat and not ice up during winter times would be a god send, combine it with the safety glass in automobiles and you just made winter driving much much safer

The only truly innovative one is the 4 triangle door at 8:52.
That's not quite true, the skylight/window at 9:14 is innovative too, but a conventional dormer window seems better because it gives you more interior space.
I'd like to see a garage door or gate that opens and closes like a camera iris. Now that would be cool.

Why are people reinventing the door? I can think of plenty of other things that they should be turning their attention to instead. The potato peeler. Why isn't there some sort of domestic can opener appliance but for potatoes? I know you can buy a machine for commercial purposes, so why isn't there a smaller one for domestic use? Can we get someone to take a look at those plastic tags used to seal a loaf of bread? Isn't there a better way that doesn't involve me losing a finger or ripping the loaf open like an animal? Same with milk cartons and bottles.

I love being able to put the screen down, then open the side door (with it's own screen door) and have the cross breeze without the bugs.
