      @@donnaquinn6746 They are timestamps that take you to each row in the pattern so you can easily find them, kind of like bookmarks. Say you remember how to do the first two rows, but can't recall how to do the third row; you can click on the little numbers and it will take you to that part in the video. It's a table of contents sort of thing to easily find the row you're working on. I hope this makes sense!

      For me it's much slower. I've been crocheting for nearly 4 years so maybe that has a effect. But what really helped me was to learn Continental knitting instead of English knitting. Hope that helps some!

      @@thelittlestdragon4730 I've crocheted for the past 40+ years, and only started knitting about 5 years ago. So of course for me too crocheting is much faster, and I totally agree with learning continental knitting if you're already a crocheter. I struggled SO much with english knitting, but once I learned about continental, my knitting really took off. So I always tell crocheters who want to learn to knit to try continental.

    • @avakudlaty6707
      @avakudlaty6707 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you knit two stitches together (K2tog) it decreases, and if you “yarn over’ (YO1) you increase. Yarning over is just taking your working yarn and wrapping it around your needle before you knit your next stitch. You can also knit multiple stitches together, and also yarn over multiple times. I hope this helps!

      R2: *p1, pick up loose st onto left needle and p2tog* repeat

    There should be no reason to pick up the bar and then slip the stitch above it before you knit. Just pick up the bar and knit through the stitch above it. ✌️

      Exactly. But this advice is for those with some experience in knitting.

    I can’t concentrate on the knitting because of the music. Could not finish the video.

    I've started knitting this stitch and realised I made a mistake. It's virtually impossible to unravel and pick up the stitches I am so confused I've knitted a fair amount and realised I couldn't correct it so started again now I'm so frustrated I've done exactly the same mistake and I have to unravel it because I can't correct it. Please please please can you make a video or just explain how to fix a mistake on the stitch I would appreciate it immensely

      Hi! So sorry to hear you've had problems. Can I suggest you use a 'lifeline' when you work. You can see how to do this in this video: th-cam.com/video/Q-279QBUWoU/w-d-xo.html
      Or just search 'using a lifeline when knitting' on youtube and you should find lots of help. This is the best way to avoid unravelling these complicated stitches.
