If dropping the stitch really freaks you out, count down 4 and put a stitch marker in the 5th stitch, then you know that you will not totally lose the plot or your mind as you drop the stitches because the ladder will stop at the stitch marker, a safety pin will do, it’s time consuming but is helpful for a beginner until you gain confidence

I’m more of a visual learner and the contrast of the white yarn and the dark blue yarn made me see where I was going wrong! Whew! Thank you for making this video! I saw your bubble hat pattern on ravelry and the link on your site sent me here, I am not a very experienced knitter and seeing the dropped stitches really scared me (not being able to control the dropped stitches are what have kept me from continuing on and expanding my knitting), although I do want to master my fear. I think if I can make the hat, I think my fear will be beat. I am putting the hat on my que list, I love that you have a great tutorial with basic chatter and great shots on how to do the stitches. It looks like I can do it and when I start, I will be able to do so much more with knitting, than I ever thought possible.

I never thought I'd get anxious from looking up a knit technique but here I am.

Do you have any tips / advice for weaving in the ends in this stitch (like in the middle, not at the bind-off/cast-on)? I just finished an adorable baby blanket with this stitch, and want to weave in ends so they are the least visible. Thanks!

Ok first off I watched a couple videos and finally learned to purl (I've been knitting on and off for ten years and could never learn that.) so with the purl I then moved on to your basket weave. I learned it in about an hour. THANK YOU! I clicked on the bubble stitch out of curiosity. You "dropped" that first stitch and I could feel my heart stop. You kept going and I realized this isn't that hard, a little tricky but you made it easy to understand. Subscribed!!!

The stitch is beautiful but yes I too stopped breathing when you dropped those stitches. I hope to have the courage to try this gorgeous blanket.

Perfect! My mom asked me to knit her a new scarf. I wanted something different. So I'm going to make it in light Grey blue and make her a bubble wrap looking scarf.
