    Shout out to @mike_honchos_honda for being the actual first lifted Honda Pilot that I have met in person! I feel like a goon sometimes :)

    Awesome! I’m also considering lifting my 07 Pilot and upgrade to larger tires. 1st gen Honda pilot’s are underrated, I have done some mild off road trips in the north east and my pilot has been pretty good. Thank you guys for sharing this video.

    • @GotterAdventure
      @GotterAdventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That is awesome! My recommendation is the HRG ultimate 3"or a 2" lift with 245-75-16 tires and Nolodesigns Skid plates.

    Very cool! My tazor program for my jeep has a “cooldown mode” that allows you to program a button to turn the fans on super high.
    Good job stopping for the horses. More people need to know if you see horses on the trail to pull off and kill the car and turn off any lights. Talk to them so the horses know what you are.

    Great videos! I would say focus more on torque and get the pedal Commander to help get more power quicker to the wheels. Since it allows the throttle body to open sooner. Miss my old 03 Honda Pilot. Had a 06 Honda Ridgeline sold it and bought it back. Because now that you can get 3-in lift kits for 1st Gen pilots and ridgelines.. HONDA POWER

    Do you issues with the electronics like ESC when aired down? Supposedly the Ridgelines have issues with airing down?

    • @GotterAdventure
      @GotterAdventure  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am still able to disable vsa while my Pilot is aired down. I do believe you will need to pull the vsa fuse in the Ridgeline to do the same

    Hey, question- I asked my local car repair shop if he could do a lift kit on my 06 Honda and he said he doesn't advise it because it wrecks the car. He says it's bad for bushings etc. How long have you been driving with your lift and have you had any issues? I don't do major off roading but just getting down my road to our farm all winter IS off roading!

    • @GotterAdventure
      @GotterAdventure  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you stick to a mild lift with camber correction parts and are able to get the Pilot successfully aligned you will be fine. I have had best results with Honda and Napa axles. I ran into issues with seized adjustment bolts initially that had to be cut out and replaced. I have about 150k on my Pilot lifted and just replaced the final original axle at 300k.

      Hondas have vented diffs and transmissions so they can ford deep enough to threaten the intake. It is also helpful to keep the dust out of your filter.

    I plan to get the 1st gen pilot and lifting it. Any suggestions on how to avoid any vibrations after installing a lift kit? And also, how many miles are on your rig?

    • @GotterAdventure
      @GotterAdventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I would recommend a 2" lift or the HRG ultimate 3" lift. Stay away from most 3rd party axles. Honda axles are best and new Napa axles seem to work well from my experience. I have approximately 280k on my Pilot.
