For everyone that couldn't figure it out. What worked for me was going down the list of the connected devices in the Bluetooth settings and removing the controller from the list. It was at the bottom of the list when usually it's closer to the top of the list. This should fix it guys good luck

@@olgclan8609 if you’re doing it for years and nothing has worked I would try a different controller, I just did that and it works again
mine says removed failed after i tried that. why is this so annoying and difficult
@SquiddyHatesPeople make sure your controller is on Bluetooth sync mode when you're trying to remove the device. The PC needs to know what device you're removing and won't recognize your device if it's not on. At least that's my theory. What are the steps you're taking exactly?

I had this problem where my bluetooth would pick up the DS4, but when i tried to play a game it would be laggy, not register inputs, etc. The solution for me was finding the bluetooth antenna that came with my PC/Motherboard. It has two coaxial connections, plugged them into the back of my PC, and now I can play from my mailbox. Hope this helps.

i dont know if you still reply to comments but my controller still doesnt want to work unless i use a usb to connect it, i dont know why it does this but its so frustrating, every time i try to connect it, it says its paired but my controller has that dull white color and the controller turns off a lil bit after, i tried using ds4 windows as well but it only works if i plugged my controller to my pc using the usb nd Bluetooth jus doesnt want to work even after i did both fixes from this tutorial
edit: i have a gold controller, no clue if this ties in with the whole thing
it says my controller is connected in the bluetooth settings but the controller light does not stay on for a long time and if i does stay connected, it does not work in the game like it would say its connected controller would be lit up too but it wouldnt work (it was working like a week ago tho)

When I troubleshoot it said my computer doesn’t support bluetooth but I also did the step to start my bluetooth support service. Am i just not going to be able to connect? My trouble shoot said It don’t support on this computer

bro when i put in the services.msc in the bluethooth services when i put in the automatic a window shows up saying wrong parameter and doesnt let me apply what can i do?

if your using a windows 11 home, and your controller keeps disconnecting everytime you try to bluetooth connect and your USB connect isn't working. try open your settings. go to blue tooth and devices open that up. scroll down to related settings and open more devices and printer settings. from there disconnect the controller and select add device. put your ps4 controller in pairing mode and it should be able to find it to re connect the issue it been having. after turning your laptop off.

My controller already shows up when I try to pair, but it’s always been a light blue light when I could play. One day randomly it turns dark blue, and even though I can pair it to my pc I can’t play any games with it. Any thoughts?

@@sadboi.1423 I think it’s a steam issue. I fixed it by going into steam controller settings, > general controller settings and turned on PlayStation config support and generic game pad config support. After an update those two auto turned off for some reason. It fixed it for steam games, but I still can’t play non steam games with controller unless I plug it in.
