His mother was into motorcycles, and the photo was of them together wearing leathers sitting on their rides, and he said he became depressed as he realized he'd never be as cool as his parents.
Riki is a treasure. I love her work with Kate, but when alone she's awesome. While I wouldn’t want my daughter to make such decisions as you made prior to age 23, I would have no problem (though as a father, perhaps some concerns) if she followed the same path you took and made the decisions you made. I’ve spoken to her as an adult rather than a child her entire life, I’ve raised my voice to her no more than 3 times in sixteen years, and I’ve told her “no” less than 5 times in her life. And in return she has never thrown a tantrum or raised her voice to me or her mother. In my opinion, as long as you are honest and aren’t hypocritical, your child will never need therapy!
