Nice review. Your unique perspective is much appreciated. I have two favorite American Single Malts. They are the entry level Westward American Single Malt and Stranahan's Sherry Cask Single Malt. Both are quite enjoyable. Keep up the good work.
thanks Jim
Yeah!! AMS review! Thank you Jason!
Always appreciate your opinion and hard work!
My Favorite AMS is hands down Del Bac. I have yet to have anything from them I didn't thoroughly enjoy (both the standard offerings and different finishes when I can get my hands on them). My second place is the Stranahan's Sherry (early batches). I have several of the later batches but have not tried them yet.
Thanks again and hope this finds all well!
Good choices!
I have gotten away from scotch for almost the whole year. Really enjoyed the video and while Jack #7 turned me away from them for decades looks like it might be time to revisit them (not the 7 😂)
Thanks Jason
This is really worth trying
which one would you choose between Knob Creek 9 years V/s JW Single malt - I am getting almost same price for both here in INDIA.
what is jw single malt?
Sounds interesting. Would this be column distilled single malt?
yep
American Single Malt is a weird category for me. Feel like it struggles to have an identity. That being said there are some good ones: virginia distilling (worked with jim swan), stranahans and 10th street
American Single Malt is still in it infant stage - please give it a few years :-)
