Regardless of the manipulation, Sara was at fault. Tom was a bad houseguest/roommate/tenant, whatever the financial situation. All of these bring with them a required level of common courtesy and respect, which brother Tom neglected to show. Sara's siding with him against her husband and the homeowner is unacceptable.

when you let someone stay at your house when they lost a job the least they can do is clean up after themselfs and dont act like you won the damn place, youre a guest not the owner also the wife is no wiser, family or not, if your SO is demanding some sort of respect and you just ignore it and call them selfish then you ending up alone
