We revised our rating due to a change in the testing standards developed in a partnership with UL. However, the new 3000A GB150 is significantly more powerful than any previous versions. What it seams is they independently tested the 4k units. And they must have maxed out under some circumstances around the 4k amps. This is where they kept the figure. But now paired with UL they are tested with a set standard and the units didn't meet their ratings. so the needed desertification to 3k amps with is probably the best outcome they had under those standards

It has a mode when you turn it on, if it senses voltage . you can hear it clicking and what's happening is its pulsing 12.5v to battery. Kinda on charging it but not like traditional charger. Or you can bypass unit and will go into straight battery mode and act as a stand alone battery

From what I understand the 4k gb150 didn't perform to advertisements. So they downgraded the info on the packaging
