I get much better results with my Canon 6D and 50yr old Super Takumar 400mm F5.6 m42 lens, 2x teleconverter. With a decent Tripod, remote trigger and red dot finder cost me around $500. The setup is just as compact and easy to setup. I still have a killer camera for photography.
If the hobby sticks you can upgrade and get a star tracker. Then a good refractor.
The Seestar s50 looks much better and extremely easy to use. Of course has tracking. It’s definitely on my radar and bucket list. From other reviews I thought Jupiter and moon looked better on the s50. Deep sky like Orion aren’t even close.

Thank you for the review Scott very informative as usual, to be honest and I may be a bit unfair here but I have to disagree with you on this showing, to me it seems more of a hobby killer than a beginner scope. The moon looked poor compared to my 6" Skywatcher Reflector and my D2. Ive had better results on Jupiter by attaching my DSLR and even my phone. Orion seemed to be jumping about all over the place how the heck are you supposed to seriously view and learn. Not sure how much this is but my advice to a beginner after watching this video leave well alone.

I honestly do agree with your opinion after Playing with it more. It is handy because you don't have to worry about your phone focusing and unfocusing, but for the price point that it is as I'm not sure I could recommend it, of course, it does have it's uses as i said in the video, but i don't feel like i can say it was a "good" telecope

Thanks for the video. I can´t really see the positives. And taking the price into account I wouldn´t suggest this to anyone especially not to any beginners. For that price the quallity is to bad. Add 100-200 bucks and better buy a D2 or S50. But that´s just my opinion. ;)

Not for me ,not sure who it's meant for , thought images we're poor, plus dso more than poor don't think this scope will get people interested in imaging, probably the opposite.

Your video is really good, after that we will develop TW3, it's a more powerful telescope, if you are interested, I can send you one for evaluation after production🥰

About the same price as Seestar S50, this does not compare. Not even close. Not impressed at all. I tried my S50 (first scope) for the first time last night. Moon first then stacked M65, M66 about 30 min of 10 sec images. If I purchased the TW1, I'd be packing it up for return.
