The Traxxas Crawler Unassembled chassis kit was my first kit. Comes with everything but the body and battery. Pretty fun to build.

I have the Raw Builders Kit. I have a box of upgrade parts for it. Just need time to work on it. Also ordered a cordless screwdriver to work on it.

It’s good to hear that HPI has secured new ownership and investment, so that those who have their products will be able to get support pretty soon, and I imagine new kit & RTR stock will be replenished, as well. The current RC crawler market has no shortage of diversity, for certain! Good video!

I'm normally a big fan of Redcat but I just don't get it the PACK. They kinda take out all the fun of the project by having it all assembled. If it wasn't all assembled, the internals & metal gears and all are great.

I bought the kit and found that in the spool bag instead of one
10x15x4mm bearing and one 7x14x5mm bearing, it came with two 7x14x5mm
and the 10x15x4mm bearing is missing. Did this happen to anyone else?
As far as the power packages, are people still using T-plugs? You guys should add options there. I know it's just a silly nitpick, but I stopped using Deans years ago. Nice rundown of all these kits! Really liking that TRX-4 Sport kit.
The AMain power packages? Those are no longer available. For the connectors, Deans are still very popular and the most commonly used connector for 1/10 scale use.

@@AMain_Hobbies Dean's T-plugs are pretty old school these days. I still have a few cars with them but I can't stand them because they are so hard to plug and unplug, so I have slowly been converting to XT60's.

I’m seriously thinking about getting the Gen8 PACK and running the longest wheelbase “336mm” with a jconcepts 13” wheelbase 84 F-250 monster truck body and those huge 1.9 proline boggers 🤔 Maybe even the 13” wheelbase snoopnose Chevy body by jconcepts.....🤔🤔🤔

I'm sorry Mike, we have put in many orders with HPI and they only send us what they send us. Most of our preorder customers have received a SBK thankfully, but we are still waiting for our large order to arrive so we can have open available stock. With the Enduro, again, we're still waiting for it. If we kept waiting for everyone this video would never go live and after sitting on it for a month, we finally pushed it live. Sorry for any confusion.

Very nice! You are on a great start by watching videos and researching. There are many truck kits available, and they all require different items to be finished. With a kit, you will need to purchase the ESC, motor, steering servo and battery separately. You may also need a body, tires and wheels. There are also RTR (Ready to Run) trucks available, that include all those items. RTR vehicles are a great place for beginners, but not if you want to personally build your truck. I have a question, not sure if anyone else caught it. For the brushed combo pack, the 1080 esc has xt60 but the battery is deans is that rectified in the combo package or is that up to the customer to address?
Hey David, good point. The combo includes a pack of T-Style/Deans connectors to swap out that XT60. It is up to the customer to change, if he or she chooses to do so. Both the Brushed and Brushless combos are like this.

Is it cheaper to buy a trx4 kit than buy the RTR model
It depends on the degree of electronics and remaining components you choose to buy for the kit. It is possible to make it less expensive, and it's also possible to make the kit build much more expensive. It just depends on the route you take when you choose the parts to complete the kit.

AMain Hobbies yeah but I mean if you put the exact same things as the RTR has on the kit will it be cheaper or more expensive
@@jonahfastre Oh, sorry. I did not understand. It is hard to answer that question because the Traxxas Sport RTR and Traxxas Sport Unassembled Kits include different body, roof racks and accessories. But, ultimately, the Sport RTR would be the most cost effective and sacrifice the body and accessories, or add your own down the road.

I don't need to purchase all the components myself nor do I want a R2R.
I just want a cool RC car that is a kit that I can then drive. Like Tamiya but better, and with the canopy already painted and stickered.
