I got one YEEHAW ..and I heard bad news about the pro being on back order now till April...but I was the list at my local hobby shop and they only got 1 in out of 15 they ordered...so im very happy with my guys at my hobby shop
Great video I love the way you edit it so it's not a super long video but you capture the important parts. I'm going to order one of these kits an d trust me I'll be referring back to this vid! Keep up the great content. Super helpful as always
Great video and nice looking kit! Will have to build one of these soon. Just wanted to mention that it didn't look like there was any thread lock on your driveshaft pins axle-side. 🤜🤛
I really enjoyed your build, I like to here the sound it makes as you screw with light background music, I also like moments where you add commentary. Good job! Was that red lock tight on the 6 screws to the ring gear in the locker?
Excellent construction, I plan to buy it but I have a question, does the kit come with the pinion for the motor? Or does it have to be purchased separately?
Overall, I definitely like the kit, and the build. But, the one thing I'm not liking (and, I'm guessing others will probably agree) is that all the cross-bracing is plastic, which allows too much flex. Unless as bracing parts are carbon-reinforced (worth a high carbon content), there should have been at least once aluminum brace in front of the skid, and at least one behind the skid).
On the steering servo, do you think you will use a standard size or a low pro servo? I watched Greg’s review and he actually had a couple scratches on his standard size servo from hitting rocks.
(9:27) ... Easy to grease, but just like RC DRIVER said... I wish they would have used (3mm) Counter-sink Screws for the 4-screws, instead of the (2.5mm) screws, but which hold the "grease-able", 👍 "open-bottomed" transmission to the skid-plate, cuz that is where "the heart" of the SCX10 PRO "is" !!!! 🤔 - Although, I'm sure, from experience, that the Axial plastics are just as good as they were from the SCX10 II "solid-one-piece axle", I have !! 🤞...
What type of oil for the rings? Could someone help me out with where I could get the tools to do this also. I want to build an rc crawler for the first time. I am going to order this kit but it’s in back order till April. Any advice before it gets here would be so appreciated!! ❤❤❤
those shocks .... with todays tech seriously you can get real bypass shocks and they give you the cheapest shock made . for a pro set-up i was expecting a lot more .
- Just curious Joe... Does the SCX6 "go together" as well as this SCX10 (PRO) !?? [And I know they don't compare, for one is a KIT, & one is an RTR], - just as far as "high quality fitment" !! 🤔 ... Thx, Paul.
Too many parts to go through quality control for rtrs to ever be offered kits they would be tremendous more than rtr , or you would get bad parts . I learned this from jd owner arrma .
If you build a flat rail comp rig from scratch it’s a huge money pit. Even going with the $80 Power Hobbies chassis kit which is the most complete conversion option and a 10.2 builders kit that’s over $320 and still needs some tweaks and parts to make it right. This SCX10 Pro adds at minimum much better shocks, underdrive and forward motor mount.
10.2 builders kit $239, Power Hobbies chassis kit is $80=$320 + better shocks, overdrive, forward motor mount. The SCX Pro shocks are like Dravtech or modified TRX4 shocks both of those are $90-$100. Just that gets you over $400 then you add even the cheap axial overdrive gears for the 10.2 and that’s another $40 and that’s only a little bit compared to the 40% in the pro, then there’s the forward motor mount. The TGH one is another $75.
nope sorry id take a injora lcg over that all day . with todays tech those shocks stink seriously you can get real bypass shocks and they give you the cheapest shock made . for a pro set-up i was expecting a lot less plastic and a lot more pro .at least a behind the axle steering and those wings come on angle them so they work they are called boat sides and they work a milloion times better . there are 100s of ways this could of been done and they choose the money grab . come on axial wheres our scx6 build kit !
They chose to release a kit that won 3 huge sorcca comps. And sorry to tell you this any real comp person will tell you plastic is the way to go. Idea is to keep it light
Axle quality has come so far in the last few years! Thanks for the great build!
I was nervous watching you push those e-clips in place. Mine usually end up doing Mach 50 across the room. I need to find a good place to get extras.
place parts inside a ziplock bag then press the E clip in place. The bag will catch the clip if it springs off during assembly
Great video, the truck looks like a good quality fit with decent plastic parts. I’m interested to see what electronics you use to complete the build.
Guy is at USTE still pumping out regular content. Awesome Joe.... Awesome
Thank you!! SCX10pro for the win!
Got my kit ordered, can't wait to get her together and out on some rocks.
Those axles are GOLD!🤩 The rest is mmmmh ... ok at best.
Big thank you Joe for this great video on a Friday am for me ,,this is Def on my list of new rig builds ,,have awesome day mate
Looks like a pretty massive upgrade on the old Builder's kit
Master at those e-clips on the shock piston
Wow that's a slick truck. I'll have to add it to the wishlist....
Always an Axial fan. The axles remind me of the SSD I have the screws that hold em in com loose after a bit but never failed on me. Nice build video 👍
These went in tight and the truck has been tested for about a year so hopefully these are good.
Great build video, I like the look of this comp slider, can’t wait to get one myself and the pro body for it too 😊
Hi from V&B Speed a rc community. Looking 4 new subs thank u😊🤙
Great video! Like the transmission.
Great video Joe! One of the best assembly videos I've seen 👍
Man I’ve been out of crawling for a while and this looks like it would be fun to play with

Nice build! Had to watch it in pieces this morning
Awesome video Joe. Jus picked my pro today. Glad you posted video of your build to get an idea how the build went. Ready to see run video now. .
Great video thanks for showing the kit!
I can’t wait to get my hands on this kit!
Great video, the explanation for under drive was what I didn't know until you explained it. Thanks!
Great video! Interested in getting another one now. Built my my first in 2015 and still run it today!
Now, for the Jconcepts Creep body
So sir
(3:26) ... Wow-za, that was tight, just the way WE like it. 👌 - I am VERY impressed !!! - Thorough !!
No green slime for the shocks?
Nice looking kit, great video showing the build 👍🏻
Hello Everyone From V&B Speed a rc community. Looking for subs stop in thank yall😊🤙
What tool is that you were using to put the ball ends on with?
Looks like a fun build. Can’t wait to get mine.
40% is pretty steep on the under drive.
But hey, it's a new kit. Ill be getting one.
I have a problem. Lol.
Good vid, be well.
Glad to see you got one early! I was hoping our team would get one your way. Nice vid
Yep watching the whole thing is KEY
Top job nice build
Awesome keep up the great work
Hoot hoot
What?? No Green Slime for the shock o-rings?? 🥺 Gonna regret that one.

Yeah I’m going online to get one yup👍
(2:17) ... That's what WE want to hear Joe !!!! 👌💪🇺🇸 ...👍
... I NEED ONE "NOW" !!!! 🧐 I'm in Love...
- What a revelation by AXIAL !!!!! 🤗❤️
I do like the rod end installer tool
Where can we get one???? Link please??? Thanks
Reminds me if the ar60 axles ❤
Thanks for the video. Love build videos although im sure its a pain to video at the same time
Thanks for the video man👍
NO 'zzzzzzing'n e-clips? Cmon now Joe!🤪😜
I may have to get one. I see a lot of AE stuff in there, especially in the tranny.
I'm watching 👀 to the end . Do a micro x 2. And a 2850kv
Excellent construction, I plan to buy it but I have a question, does the kit come with the pinion for the motor? Or does it have to be purchased separately?
Yeah im hardcore! Love your videos man! And the good ol american accent🫵
Sup EXO, was wondering if you would know if an axial 2 speed gearbox would mount to a vaterra ascender?
THANKS CLEARIFY VIDEO

It will be a 4-5lbs Crawler. I absolutly dont worry about flex. Plastik is just fine.
On the steering servo, do you think you will use a standard size or a low pro servo? I watched Greg’s review and he actually had a couple scratches on his standard size servo from hitting rocks.

It looks good but not over £400 good 😬
What is a good after market shock for the scx10 3 jlu build kit? I'm new to this trying to figure out what to get. Ty
How much does it weigh at this point?
Big question, did Axial finally make shocks that don't leak lol
those shocks .... with todays tech seriously you can get real bypass shocks and they give you the cheapest shock made . for a pro set-up i was expecting a lot more .
They aren't factory assembled so yeah shouldn't leak.
Trueeeeee that
All shocks leak. And if you don't use green slime it will rip the o rings witch is something they don't use at factory
Bacon...you probably meant Vanquish, right ? 😏
Awesome
Realy nice informativ video 😎👍😃.
How hard do you think it would be to add a dig unit to this build?
Very nice

... Thanks !! ✌️
Looks good))
We need more tapered link rod ends
what budget heck is this, doesnt axial already have good gearboxes? Skid is the lid for the gearbox? locking out aftermarket boxes?!
Would like to see a New MOA from Axial
Yo is it worth getting that kit?
I see no Loctite on them driveshaft screws 🤣
or any where at all
@@craigengelman4534 1:20. Ring gear screws got some

@@craigengelman4534 Vitavon for Bashers and show and shine! Maybe he gets it for free or less money. Crawler plastic is king.
The dreaded e-clips. Those are my most disliked part of any build. Lol
Exocaged quit cheating quit using that drill to do links you are supposed to do them by hand that is the professional way
... LOL... Work smarter not harder... LOL
outdated design, no portal....
I gotta get one.
