    Great video as always! should have WD40ed those bolts overnight though, may have come out, esp if they are open ended and you can spray them from underneath as well

    I just replaced the pump the old one didnt work when power was applied this does but still wont come on i feel its not getting power or the solenoid is bad. I checked the relay and its good. What do u suggest

      Chuck the Wireless, connection , corrosion etc

      ​@@adrianechavarria-b1y any update... I just replaced my air pump lots of corrosion on wire connectors, I'll double check wiring for continuity tmrw getting ready for work .

      ea i replaced the pump again it burned out but this time i changed the relay also its working but i got the code again for the pump i cleaned out the check valves and erased the codes i guess we’ll see. I turned it on this morning pump came on then shut down like its supposed to 45 sec later

    Hi. Thanks for your videos. I have a similar car. 2002 M112 S320. Your help is really appreciated. When you say it smelled on startup, what did it smell of?
    The problem I’m having is that the air pump is on constantly. Even with a hot engine. Even ignition off and car locked. I’m going to replace the relay first. For the moment I’ve unplugged the pump to stop it burning out. Do you think I can drive with the pump disconnected?

      Yes, the car will run, but forget passing an emissions test. The exhaust will most likely smell a lot stronger than usual due to the cats not fully doing the job when cold. This pump just pushes fresh o2 into the cats to get them working quicker. Thank your local green environmental bunny hugger for this extra crap bolted to your car.

    Hey everyone... Can a air leak along the seam in the secondary air pump cause a P0455 large air leak code ?

      No,P0455 is leak in Evap system,the one capturing gasoline vapors.

      Remove the connector from the solenoid . You might get the check engine light on .

    Hi , l've sprayed wd40 in my air intake tube right behind the airflow sensor mercedess cdi 1999 , does it clean or harm the engine affer all , ps l'm having problems with high levels of smoke , thanks in advance!

      It kind of does both , but you will need a lot of spraying to clean the valves which also might damage the engine or catalytic converter

      On this engine it requires to take each part and clean it aside like the main components: intake , valve covers . At least that's how I would do it

      @@doit_vehicles one time I given to car wash they blown all 6 coils🤦‍♂️.
      But I want to see my engine clean but scared to clean. Now days I clear myself.but still oil is there.
      I buyed form engine degreezer and clean with brush. It work fine still I am scared of that 6 coils.. tats why I didn’t pleasure wash the engine

      When I wash. I remove the filter box and close that air intake valve with plastic. Then I spray the degrezer. And I buy one hand pump pressure washer to clean it.still sacred about the coils. Each coil cost 100aed

      DON'T DO IT! If you have to clean it, get a jar of mineral spirits or varsol and a stiff brush. Dip and scrub, use a rag and a lot of patience. You'd have to be a fool to hose one of these nightmares down with water. You'll end up chasing codes for the next decade!

      Yes it is only meant to heat up the cat faster for emissions you can actually decode it, and just remove it if you want with the correct software

    I have 2005 ml350 w163. The pump comes back on and off 3 to 4 times when the engine temperature is around 79°c to 80°c . Any advice or ideas please 🙏 Thank you.

      To be certain it's the pump, unplug it when you hear the noise

      I did not think it could be the relay, because the fan works the way it should at cold start for a minute or less. Than it comes back on and off 3 to 4 times when temperature is around 79°c to 80°c then off until the next cold start.

      @@adebayooni1673 In my case it wasn't the pump making the noise. Turn out to be my radiator fan making the loud noise when it kicks into high gear. I changed the fan and the high pitch noise is gone

    ml 350 .i had po410 code. rubber three way connector going to solenoid split and caused vacuum leak. part # is gxl6010780245
