I am kind of in a situation like this. I have interviewed with for two positions and both look very promising because both invited me back for the second interview right away. My current employer found out that I am trying to find another job, they went out of their way to create a new higher pay position to try to keep me. I never had this problem before since I always received one offer only. I think I will feel very bad if I tell my current employer that I am taking the other offer after all the trouble they went through to create the new position for me. I never thought being in demand is this painful.

Hello. I need your help and need your opinion. . I got job offer 2 weeks ago for job A and took the position. This week i got an offer for job B which pays more, about $7k more a year. Job A is a hybrid schedule that works 2 days in the the office while Job B is hybrid schedule but have to work 4 days in the office. Job A has better medical insurance benefits than job B. I was working for job B previously for 4 years so i have seniority there if i take that job while Job A is a brand new company. With all those factors said, which one would you take, Job A or B ???? I created a spreadsheet and wrote down all the pros and cons and they are equally even. Im not looking for answer but just your opinion answer on which job would you take considering all the factors i provided. Thoughts??

Hi Gina, good to hear from you and congrats on landing both offers! I would encourage you to look at the reasons you left Job B to begin with. If all was peachy and it was just a matter of their budget and your growth, which they now have - it sounds like that would be a great option! Is the job role, manager, clients you would work with, day in day out role on par for them all? How much would the extra 7k impact your current lifestyle right now and how important is that for you?

Pros and cons lists are sometimes difficult, I encourage you to think about for each one, what does that pro offer you in terms of values and what it means in your life. E.g. more money can mean peace of mind for paying off debt, whereas more hybrid working may mean more reader and flexible daily schedule. However, if you’ll be stressing about unpaid debt, then a flexible daily schedule won’t help that much. I suggest going through your pros and cons list using this scenario and then choosing which value is more aligned with you. Only you can make the best decision and I wish you the best of luck with it :) if you really have all the possible info you can at this moment in time, and the options are really so close, you can’t go wrong with either one as all decisions will have a pro and con - gut feel! 🙌

@@eva.evangelou Thanks for your tip. it's just so hard which one to choose since they are both equally good. All the factors that i mentioned are important. I have spent 5 days thinking about but still cant make up my mind. lol. So i wanted an outside opinion such as yourself on which one would you take if you were given this scenario.

I'm in a bit of a predicament... The recruiter said I had to make the decision to accept the offer by this morning. As I had no other offers at the time I accepted. But now another offer has just come in that I really want... what should I do?

Although... on point 2... I don't have a written offer yet, only verbal

@@kennethboehnen271 I went with the original one, the pay was not the highest but the company is more well known, so hopefully will have good job prospects afterwards
