I found this Matte Glass one for the 13" iPad Pro that I will be trying out for the time being.
Hopefully they came from the same manufacturer and just rebranded with different names. Packaging seems similar to Mothca's

Straight to the point, thank you 👍
Thank you for your honest review. Very detailed
I bought one early this year for my 11" iPad Pro and love it. It removes any stress from incorrectly adhering it to the screen. I can't say that I often remove it, but it is nice to have the option. My house does not get very dusty, so I don't have a problem with getting dust behind the screen. And it only cost me $10 at the time on Amazon.
Good ASMR video 👍 - Great review! Getting one!
Happy the algorithm brought this to my feed, because I was going to order this. I think I'll give a shot.
Thanks for the review!
I have never had good expectations about this removable screen protectors because of the dust over the screen. Thanks for the review.
Thank you for this video! Very helpful!
Does using this alone without screen protector causes diagonal wobble when using Apple Pencil on procreate?
How often do you have to replace the matte screen protector?
Thanks for this - has anyone else noticed a mild adhesive used in this? (Your video shows peeling off the white tabs) I noticed this left some
Residue on the screen
It's not adhesive, it is just some nonslip rubbery stuff. Similar to nonslip socks. It doesn't leave any marks on the screen. Not sure which marks you may be referring to.
Thank you very helpful
Hi Jimmy. thanks so much for the awesome video. I was wondering, which screen protecter is shown at 3:22 ? It looks so perfect for diffusing glare. Thanks again
@@mattcadoch5362 it is this one amzn.to/3RslSoo
I review it in this video if you want to learn more about it th-cam.com/video/J6NMrU29oHI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=lQq7Hy1n9BGUmPND
@jimmylamstudio Please do let me know!!!
great no nonsense video
These won't work on a samsung tablet?
Thanks Jimmy! This is def what I need for my work iPad.
Do you prefer this one or the Bellemond one?
Personally I prefer this one. The bellemond does have a bit more texture if you think that’s what you prefer but it will wear out the pencil tip just a little bit more. I can work fine with barely any texture so reducing pencil wear would be my choice.
@@JimmyLamStudiothank you!
@@JimmyLamStudio will the apple pencil really get warn down? even with this? dont think u can replace the nib on apple pencil,. 😮
@@squintygreeneyes it will get worn down eventually depending on how frequently you are using it. You can replace the Apple Pencil tip. They sell replacements.
Which Drawings tools should i use?
I’m curious. It looks like sometimes you’ll put the screen protector on without a case on the iPad and others it seems like you have a case on. Is it possible to install and remove without taking off a case or do you always have to remove a case to install/remove the screen protector?
Whether you use a case or not, it will not impact the magnetic screen protector. You do not need a case on or off to put the screen protector on. It only touches the screen of the iPad.
Do you recommend this for drawings?
Thanks for this, super helpful! Do you think the dust collecting under it combined with frequently putting it on or off might cause screen damage over time? I fear that without another screen protector between the iPad and this thing it might scratch the screen.
I wouldn't be surprised if you find some micro scuffs on it at some point down the line. It's more of just a screen cover than an actual protector. I would personally prefer to just use a normal screen protector.
As far as I understand you can also use a normal Screenprotector underneath this one based on the ESR Website. But it needs to be less than 0.33mm thick, but then you can just get a Glas screenprotector and have peace of mind.
Edit: Just saw that Jimmy already did a video specifically for that scenario so that could probably help you.
how many magnetic paper like protectors have you tried already? Do you have a recommended one among all?
I have only tried ESR’s and Bellemond’s. At this point, I prefer something with less of an aggressive paper texture. So I prefer ESR’s.
Does it maintain good quality after a long period of ownership/use? I’ve seen some reviews that some of these don’t last very long or lose magnetic function and I just wanted to make sure I didn’t buy a faulty or short-lived screen protector.
The magnets are still fine. I haven't had issues with the texture smoothing down yet but it is probably bound to happen. It happens to any paper screen protector. I think anyone who says it doesn't probably just don't use it as much as they think they do or it was just so progressive they didn't notice. I typically notice them smoothing out a bit around 6 months in but I probably wouldn't feel the need to replace it until maybe a year or 2 after.
@@JimmyLamStudio Thank you so much! That really helps!
@@JimmyLamStudio Have you tried any other brands of similar removable matte screen protectors, and if so have you experienced any worse or better conditions with those?
@@curious_corvid Just ESR's or Bellemond. Bellemond just has more of an aggressive paper texture to it. It would probably hold up longer than ESR's slightly less aggressive texture but would probably wear out your pencil tip more often.
@@JimmyLamStudio Thank you! You’ve been a huge help!
