    THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!
    I recently bought an iPad and was really worried that something was wrong with it - but now I think it’s just the glass screen protector
    I’d like to add a tip here: for those who can’t take the screen protector (like me, cuz I’m really scared of breaking something haha-crying), try setting just a little bit of Motion Filtering in the Pressure & Smoothing prefs in Procreate
    0.1% was enough to get rid of pretty much all my wavy lines, as long as I'm not drawing very slowly
    And yes, you still can feel the difference drawing, specially in circles or very curved lines
    But, from my experience, it’s just a little bit, and you eventually get used to it.
    Well, that’s it!
    Once again, thank you for the video!
    I hope this tip may help someone else too

      I bought an iPad a couple of days ago and I was wondering which one to get. I heard matte ones decrease the screen quality and adds some sound to it which i really dont want since I'm going to use the tablet for gaming and school work as well.
      So from your experience if we increase the accuracy little bit more, the wobbly lines kinda disappear?
      I would be so glad if you could answer 🙏

    • @donodoted
      @donodoted ปีที่แล้ว

      @@foxypinky1317 Hi! From my experience, increasing the Motion Filtering setting in Procreate just a bit is enough to get rid of most wobbly lines - specially if you draw quickly (drawing slower makes them more visible again)
      I hope this helps! Sorry, I couldn't find any conf with "Accuracy" as its exact name, but I think the Motion Filtering is the closest thing to it
      If you're using other apps than Procreate, look for stabilization settings, it may help.

    got my 2022 ipad pro last week. tried drawing on it. compared to my old surface device, it felt amazing! then i figured i'd stick a tempered screen protector to protect this expensive device. started drawing this week, the surface was impossible to draw on, i really thought i broke the pen with how much it wiggles... i'll get a bellemond to see if the issue get fixed

    I use a glass screen protector, but when I want to draw i use a matte screen protector that has magnets at the sides to be removable after drawing. That was the best way to go for me. Didn't want to keep my iPad without a screen protector and didn't want to keep matte permanent because of how it messes up colors, dulls the screen when not drawing etc. Best of both worlds

    I have decided to draw right on the glass. I've seen other artists and companies doing this, so I'm going to see how it works and hope it doesn't scratch the surface. Paperlike scratched so much for me. This is helpful to hear how the glass screen protector worked.

      Honestly the bare glass is the best option if your house is chaos free. If you've ever seen how a 3 year old uses the apple pencil, you would see why some definitely need a protector, lol.

    I've heard some people complain about the tooth the Bellemond screen has, saying it has too much texture and wears down the pencil. I was interested when you said you couldn't imagine it wearing out the Apple Pencil. I'm assuming it all comes down to how hard each person presses on the screen, though I'm still looking for a screen protector and haven't tested it out for myself. • @hackynat4481

      Definitely not enough to compensate. Plus stabilizers are a bit annoying to draw with on strong settings anyway, it's like drawing with a ball and chain, the lag isn't enjoyable. I tried to find non matte PET film but failed in Canada, it exists though. Maybe on usa Amazon you'll have some luck.

    Oh you wonderful person. I saw your vid a few weeks ago where you recommended Bellemond. I had already tried three different screen protectors, not paperlike because it is so expensive and got mixed reviews.
    None of the screen protectors, all matte, really got rid of the jitter of the Apple Pencil.
    I was way skeptical that Belmonde would help. But you looked so sincere so I decided to go ahead and buy it.
    You’re right, it is an amazing screen protector! Suddenly I was easily able to draw things that were very frustrating before.
    So thank you.
    And I have a question. It may be that no one has the answer. But just in case…
    If the screen protector is on the iPad, then obviously we can’t put on a blue light emission protector film over that. And I have heard the blue light blocking glasses aren’t terribly effective.
    Since people spend hours daily with the iPad, do you have any suggestions?

    • @hackynat4481
      @hackynat4481  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't realize other matte protectors are causing a lot of jitter! That's frustrating, thank you for mentioning it.
      I'm sorry but I know very little about blue light reduction beyond "night mode", certainly nothing about film protectors. I stare at a variety of screens for over 10 hours a day and have no eye strain so I'm not one to ask lol. Sorry!

    • @psalm1tree466
      @psalm1tree466 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@hackynat4481 some people seem to be doing just great with their matte screen protectors that didn’t work for me.
      As for blue light, I’m sorry I bothered you. I did more research and it seems that concern about blue light is a bunch of hype. There’s far more blue light in sunlight, for example, then there is coming from a computer screen. Further, there is zero evidence that blue light glasses actually I have any benefit at all.
      So we can use our iPads all we want! But if you want to cut out blue light you may or may not know that there are settings on the iPad and computers for what they called night shift. Though it is not apparently harmful to the eyes, it does seem to upset circadian rhythms if you were looking at it at night.

    Seems like the wobby line has to do with how you hold your pencil? Instead of having the thumb lying down flat on the pencil, the thumb should be bent inwards, so that the tip of the thumb is pinning down the pencil for extra stability.

    I’m going insane with my screen, idk what’s wrong with it, I have no screen protector, it has a small crack down it, it’s bent a bit because of the damned heat or something and whenever I’m trying to draw, when I try to zoom in our out or move around with two fingers it sometimes presses the backspace button for me when I don’t want it to, when I wash my hands it works fine for the most part so idk if it’s my screen being dirty or not, I am really stressed about this so can anyone give me answers please? Is there something I don’t know

    • @hackynat4481
      @hackynat4481  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a lot of variables at play there... Cheapest variable to eliminate is maybe try a drawing glove? It could be doing a bag job of palm ignoring, a glove would solve that. Or it's the crack. Or it's the bend. Both much more expensive to fix lol.

    • @hackynat4481
      @hackynat4481  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glass would be better for reading, the glass screen protector adds a fair bit of glare, if you're using this for school, it's likely going to be a problem going Matte.

    I removed my screen protector from matte to glass (to get a clearer and better screen quality) but I’m a little sorry 😅. Because it’s not very good to draw. But maybe I will use it for the next 1 year, because I think it’s quite expensive in my opinion (I bought a spigen product)

      I'd say it wouldn't be necessary, but you can always try it out. If it's to protect the pencil tip, I'd say unnecessary with the bellmond anyway, I've noticed no wear down.

    I bought a paperlike screen protector and at the beginning it was perfect, no/little woobles, just that light reflection.
    The problems comes after you use it for a couple of months, the screen starts to be scrathed by the pencil creating a noise effect with brigth backgrounds.
    Once you notice it gets really annoying.
    Any ideas how the pencil works with plastic screen protectors?
    Really good video btw, straight to the point.

      I'm going to buy an iPad for my school notes. I've never owned an iPad nor written on an iPad. Should I buy a paper-like screen to start with, but not from paperlike itself, but from eg alliexpress, and then switch to glass when I'm used to writing on the ipad, or should I use glass right away?

    • @lvm10
      @lvm10 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@oliwaaa7982 It's my first Ipad too and I use it mainly for drawing so the glass protector with that woble effect was not an option for me. I gave it a try without any screen to see how naturally it feels and I'm quite impress, it's how I'm using it now.
      If you are planning to take your Ipad to school and everywhere I would firstly buy a proper case and give it a try without screen to see if you need that paper feel. As I an ex-paperlike user I would go directly with glass if you feel the need of more protection. :D
      Hope it helps, good luck!

    You shouldn’t use the ruler to test straight lines, the ruler messes up the pressure sensitivity of the Apple Pencil, and make it wobble.

    • @hackynat4481
      @hackynat4481  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I thought that might be the case which is why I included freehand tests. However if it messes it up, it still doesn't mess up on the bare screen.
